Love this park. Its been a blessing especially during this pandemic. We walk there almost every day. Our property taxes are certainly well spent for the # of people who utilize this space.

The park is very nice and clean with children playground area, dogs park, and small trails. Its well maintained year round. Lots of birds like Acorn Woodpeckers, Stellar Jay, etc.

My little Kiko really enjoyed the dog park! We came all the way from Dublin to visit since our dog parks are closed still. It has a small and large dog park area. There was a variety of different dogs and they all got along with each other! I would recommend visiting here if youre looking to take your dog out. Half of the dog owners had masks on the other half didnt, it was up to your discretion to wear it. Overall great experience!

Awesome large dog park divided into areas for big and small breeds.There’s plenty of place so dogs can run freely. There are water fountains and benches for humans.People and dogs were super friendly, and we’ll definitely come again here.

Hap McGee Ranch Park is a tranquil and well-located park that is perfect for families with small children, dogs (at the dog park there , which reopens this Sat) and for leisure hikers along the nearby trails. There is a quiet atmosphere during week days, with plenty of space to have a memorable picnic. An East Bay classic outdoor experience!

Clean, open environment! Loved the vegetable garden and the historic ranch houses in the park.

One of the best off leash dog parks in the East Bay at the back of the park. There are two corrals - small dogs (less than 20 lbs) and large dogs (more than 20 lbs). Lots of green grass to run around and make new friends (both 4 legged and 2 legged). Clean! Owners are very good at picking up after their dogs.Over the years, City of Danville adds more wooden benches to sit at either corral. Lots of trees. Springtime is great time to visit because the grass is super green and the flowering trees are in full bloom.There are doggy water fountains also at each of the corrals and doggy bag dispenser and trash cans throughout the park.During Friday nights there is an informal Yappy hour(s) year round. People BYOB while their fur babies are playing. Some even bring appetizers and snack foods to go along with their drinks. When the evenings get warmer, people stay till it gets dark.

Really nice dog park with two areas. All fenced off with double gate entry. Water fountains are in both areas as well as benches in the shade. The larger section has an agility course. Great parking with a lot of park amenities.

There was a gathering of 6 women 6 teenagers and more than 7 children younger gathered together without masks. Very irresponsible in the current covid situation.

Kids love it. Perfect for hot days. The water park is open week days- noon to 6pm and weekend from 10am until 6pm not year round only from April till September. The water does not stink.The rest of the park are wooden structures. Really well done. There are picnics tables and a small sand area for toddler if you can bring buckets and stuff could be real fun for your kids.I really like this park. Easy to park. Plenty of room for everyone.

Great place to visit with your kids during the hot days. The water features keep you nice and cool. The water runs into the sandbox making little lagoon and mud which kids enjoy.

Nice place for small get-together or large size picnic. Best part is shades and activities facilities for every age group like kids play area, sand court volleyball, etc.

Very well maintained. The dog owners that go here are really responsible and friendly. I have never seen a dog fight, so people seem to be on top of training. Great spot to go to take your kids or your pups. The dog park is closed at certain times of the year due to rain, however.

The canine corral is a clean beautiful green dog park! My pup absolutely loves running around and meeting new friends here. Lots to keep canines entertained! Theres a large grassy area, wood chips along the outside, and even some equipment for dogs to practice agility. Theres also a separate area for smaller dogs. Dog owners here are friendly and responsible.

A quaint park, I hope they dont get rid of it.

Love this place! I grew up down the street and used to go here as a kid when it was a working ranch. Now its a beautiful park. Memories preserved :-)

Awesome place for bday celebrations, tables can be reserved, and the playground and the water games are a hit for the kids.Bad thing is that some big dog owners let their dogs unleashed next to babies and toddlers, and some even take their dogs inside the kids water games.

This is a pretty good place to go and relax. The park is well take care of and has lots of shade. Plus you can see Acorn Woodpeckers!

This may be the nicest park in the Danville/Alamo area. Too bad more people dont use it. They need to add bark at the play structure though as you cant even get a wheelchair in it now.

Scared to go but glad I did. Dog park, Hot day, nice dogs except a young, wild pit bull who wanted to hump all the male dogs first and then went for my girl. Very hot so not many dogs and overall, good first experience. My new dog is social and my past dogs were not.

Its a great little park with a water feature for the kids. Easy walk around level grounds, nice doglard too. I highly recommend if you want to get your kids cooled down on a hot summer day. If youre really adventurous, a little hike down a little bit of a hill to the river thats flowing slowly.

My dog and I absolutely love Hap Magee.They have a small and large dog park that is in my opinion the best in the area. There have been issues with the grass surface in the large dog park but I dont think the dogs mind too much.While there are occasionally dog owners who do not do a good job watching and controlling their dog, by and large everyone has been friendly and the dogs generally get along with one another. I dont think Ive heard of any major issues in the three years Ive been going there.Outside of the dog park, its also a great place to visit. The lawn is beautiful and its a very enjoyable place to take a walk.

Super awesome playground and community garden. Free with great parking. Right off the 680 for easy access if you need to get the kids out of the car for a spell.

Nice park. Old ranch that has been repurposed into a kids playground, dog park (large and small dogs separate) and other events are held there. Dogs love it. But like any place with dogs, need to be mindful of your dog, pick up after them, and watch out for them.

Dog park in the back, one for big dogs, one for small dogs. Also they have a playground and a community garden which is pretty cool. They have small little cottage like homes for meetings and such. A nice place to picnic, have a walk around, or take your dog.

This park is a little out of the way, but very nice. The labyrinth and water play area are both nice and different from most other parks in the area.

A very nice hike with a nice view of the city, we come here often but after a few times here, you will go through it like a champ! This is a good stepping stone trail that will get you in shape or at least help you with the more difficult ones or whenever you want a solid quick workout in.

Had a large barbecue today, hosting about 60. Problem was that the park allowed for multiple reservations of the barbecue area. We were at tables 1-4, while two other parties of about 40+ were at 5-8 and 9-12. A little crowded for my taste. Next time Ill be sure to reserve more tables.

One of my favorite parks. Great play structures for the kids. Sister in law and brother in law had wedding shower here and it was perfect.
