The Hall of State is simply a must see for anyone looking for beautiful architecture and a spot of history. On the east side of the building is the little seen Statue of Liberty. It was given to the park in 1950 by the Boy Scouts. It’s not a very good reproduction, but it’s always good to reflect on her wise words that of Liberty and justic for all

Dont be misleaded by the staled fachade of this building. The Dallas historical society has done an outstanding job preserving the interior. Its probably one of the most beautiful historical places in Dallas. I hope one day they can fix the fachade.

This is one of the most awe inspiring historical buildings in Texas. Inside and out this building oozes TEXAS. This is my 2nd favorite building in Texas other than the Alamo! Very unique. They usually have some king of exibit during the State Fair Of Texas. If you can visit during non-fair times and see the building without the exibits, you can really appreciate the 1930s architectural design and construction of the art deco era. Different rooms represent different areas of the state and materials from that area are used in the construction of each room.

I love the beauty of this building inside and out. This year exhibit about Texas contribution to cinema is another awesome State Fair must see.The Hall of State is perfect for holding a number of formal functions from weddings to corporate Christmas parties. The Hall of State is on of my favorite buildings on Fair Park grounds.

This is a beautiful facility and incredibly designed with a tremendous dramatic We did find a bit of irony in the fact that all of the Texas revolution heroes completed their actions 5 years before the City of Dallas was founded. It is still worth a trip and you will get some spectacular pictures of the history and the honoring of the Texas heroes.

It was a very unique place that always changes it displays so that it never gets boring. There was a guy that worked there that knew a lot about the museum and was open to all of our questions and stories that we told him. Even though I had been there during the fair it was very interesting. I would definitly go back if I got the chance. Ps I was obe of the first civilians to go into one of their new exhibits.

My husband and I just got married here in April. It is a stunning space (seriously, people cant stop talking about how beautiful our wedding was), and was very affordable. Nora (though difficult to reach at times) was incredibly helpful, and did everything she could to make our day great. The only reason I will not be giving the Hall of State 5 stars is our experience the night of the wedding was tainted by a VERY rude employee, who screamed (this is NOT an exaggeration) at some of my family and friends, How about you stop standing around and actually DO something?! while everyone was attempting to pack up, clean, and leave the hall. I understand that it was late, but these people were trying their absolute hardest to get everything done, and to be treated in such a disrespectful manner is not only unprofessional--it is embarrassing. They werent just standing around. They were working. And Im sure your employee (I do not know her name) was very tired, but there is really no excuse for speaking to people the way she did. I am very, very disappointed that such a magical evening ended in such a rude and disgusting way. Please speak to your employees about how to treat humans. They seem to have forgotten simple kindness.
