This is a very popular dog park, and for good reason! Tons of space to run around, ample water stations and waste disposal bins, benches to rest on, and lots of shady trees. It offers a pond to splash and play in for water-loving pups, but it is sectioned off so that owners can keep them dry if they prefer not to have a wet hairy dog in their car later. Outside of the fenced-in area are a couple of covered picnic tables, which I have used more than once to have lunch while dog watching.

Lots of space for your dogs to run around. There are separate enclosures for small and large dogs; however, the terrain is rocky, dirty, and dangerous with exposed tree roots. There are some benches to sit on inside of the dog areas, but most are not under trees... more than likely you will be in the sun. There is a swimming hole for the dogs, but it is extremely dirty water. Beware, there is a lot of dog poop all over the place. Watch your every step.

The park is tucked away at the end of Gramercy Oaks Dr and there are three different areas. One for large dogs, one for small dogs, and between the two there is an enclosed pond for dogs to swim. Around the dog areas there is a paved walk way for light exercise. There is also access to wooded trails off of the paved walk way in the north east corner.

Large, lake, and small dog areas. Great for running, playing, and swimming. When your pup gets tired (as ours did), its time for a break or nap at home. Must watch dogs as you would kids to be sure they play well together. Always pick up after your pet, so no chit-chat with your back turned.

Very nice compared to most dog parks. Plenty of places to sit... Way more than youd expect. Normally seating is in 1 area but this is all over AND in the shade so if you have orthostatic intolerance its way easier to push through. Also have a normal no-dog park and Port-o-Potties.

This park has many attributes that I loved! The large and small dog park were different sized to accommodate its visitors. There’s a pool that you and your pup can enjoy or simply walk around if y’all don’t want to get wet. There’s gigantic cement blocks for humans (and four legged friends) to sit on, plenty of parking (all the way in the back), and restrooms to use.The culture was happy and relaxing. While the dogs were running and rolling, the owners were laughing and looking at other beautiful dogs. Besides this park being right of the DNT, it was in a safe location.

My three dogs love running around the lake area, trotting through the mud, investigating the trees, and at least 1 likes dipping in the pond. There are usually other dogs to play with and a 90-minute visit is usually enough to tucker them out for the night. There are plenty of doggie waste stations (generously stocked with bags) and I rarely see a dog owner leave waste behind. Its one of the cleaner dog parks in the area.

The man-made lake was significantly larger than I thought based on the photos in other reviews. There is a small dog park, a large dog park, and the lake section - all of which have an acclimation zone. Our dogs miss the beach something fierce and this was a pretty good alternative for the area.

Clifford gives it five paws! By far the best dog park weve visited in the Dallas area. Not your typical suburban, manicured, homogeous park. Be warned, it will get messy, so bring some spare towels.

This used to be my favorite place to take my dog in the summer so she could get a good workout in swimming. They for some reason removed the hose to wash your dog down which was a terrible idea. Then on another day, a large water moccasin was in the lake and swam from the tree/brush area towards the main dock. My dog had just been in the water a few minutes before this so it was very startling. The city should be maintaining the park and preventing dangerous snakes from being in this area. We wont be going back.

Two years ago I would have given this place five stars but it seems like its maintenance hasnt been kept up very well recently. We go because of the pond side of the dog park, my dog loves the water so she loves it there. They used to have an awesome washing station. It had a hook to put the leash on and an easy handle to turn the water on and off. They still have a hose but its no longer as easy to turn on and off and they dont have anything to hook the leash up to. Plus, the pond area now only has one pop bag station so if it runs out you have to leash your dogs just to go into the other dog area to get bags.It is still a great dog park, just be prepared and grab extra bags as soon as you get there. On the other side of the dog park they have plenty of bag stations and areas for the dogs to get water.

A wonderful place to take your doggie(s), in a really pretty, roomy setting. There is a large dog section, a small dog section, and a pond section. Plenty of shade and room for your doggie to run, for you to do a nice walk with them, or just play fetch. The only reason I gave it a 4 isnt for the park but for some of the people - because believe it or not, in the large dog section, sometimes people dont pick up after their dogs so you have to watch where you step, and occasionally there is an aggressive dog whose owner really shouldnt be bringing to a dog park. But mostly people are really friendly and the dogs have a great time.

Review №68

Nice dog park, and most people there are very nice. Very spacious with plenty of room for our little fur babies. I didnt notice a lot of people not picking up poop like other reviews. One thing I did notice (which seems to be a constant at most Dallas dog parks) is that people bring their large dogs into the 0-30lbs area. They then allow their dogs to be aggressive towards the younger dogs or peoples children. I can even understand the larger dogs that are docile and are apt to being around smaller dogs because there are smaller dogs in their own family. I dont have a young one that runs around and plays in there because thats our dogs time to play with other dogs, but I noticed some kids that were running and one of the larger dogs almost attacked the young kid until the owner told them not to run or her dog will be aggressive with them and no one said anything. The mother was scared to let her own kids even move suddenly, like this lady owned the park and we had to follow her own rules. I understand that parents have to control their kids, but also at the first sign of aggression, owners should exit the park (especially since their large dog is in the wrong area) per posted ACTUAL rules. I always tell my son (which is 12) to not touch of get in ANY dogs face. Even if an owner says its ok our pets can still be unpredictable. But then again, my son shouldnt have to be careful and dont make any sudden movements or my dog will attack. There was one of these larger dogs (in the 0-30lbs area) come and get aggressive and start snarling at my son when we were playing rock paper, scissors and was told to not make any sudden moves like that, but that her dog wouldnt actually hurt us. When I got up to shew the dog away she told me he wasnt going to hurt anyone...I know he wasnt...I wasnt going to give him the chance. From my understanding, the lady meets up with a group that frequents the place, but that shouldnt override the overall safety of others or carry any kind of seniority over newcomers. The same ladys dog was being overly aggressive and there were other people correcting her dog, but she was doing nothing besides saying he wont hurt you when the dog was clearly being aggressive with other dogs and wouldnt stop. Any ideas how others wouldve handles it? I was trying to keep my cool, but it was frustrating.

The gates to go in and out are concerning. I saw people leave the gate open to the dog park and leave the gate out open, which meant any dogs could get loose (and one almost did). Millie LOVED the pond area and played with a ball someone had left behind. The other enclosed areas are also spacious and well shaded, which is great for summer!Edit: The park is very spacious and my dog loves it there. I’m a little concerned on the pond/park as yesterday my dog started limping about a half hour after we arrived. We already had a vet appointment scheduled so today when she wasn’t putting any weight at all (and it was SO swollen), we did xrays. There was a puncture wound that was infected and producing air! The vet said she hadn’t seen air in a wound like that NOT in a digestive area in all her years!! Since we were there at about 3pm the day before and the X-ray was taken at about 9am, I’m now very unsure of the area and the bacteria there. There is a lot of feces/germs and maybe the stagnant water is not the best. We will definitely consider going to a river or larger lake in the future once healed. The non-pond area is shady and Millie loves both areas. Unfortunately we are now out of commission and have a heavy vet bill (pet insurance coming in with a solid win!). Hopefully no one else has a serious health issue like this as I’ve been worried the last 24 hours. The good news is I really love our Vet!

North Bark is one of me and Lus favorite parks. They have a good sized small dog area, it can occasionally feel crowded, but theres always plenty of spots to sit. There isnt as much sjade in the small dog area as the trees are still fairly young. In the middle area sits a small fenced in pond, if your mans best friend enjoys a swim. The large sized dog area has a ton of room where the the zoomies are a plenty. Theres always been at least a few people there every time Ive gone, but ive never felt likr it was overcrowded. The park does have SEASONAL fountains so plan ahead during the cold months. Surrounding the three enclosures is a cement walking trail as well. So if you have a pup that prefers to keep to themselves theres more than enough choices for everbody (pupper & human) to get in some good excersize and sun. Good amount of grass throughout but mud can sometimes be an issue. Now youll just have to convince pup to leave!Always clean and safe, absolutely must see for yourself. I would drive 30min to get here past 3 other parks that couldnt come close. Be sure to check their hours! They close one day a week for cleaning/maintenance and they will close the gate to the parking lot at times when the park is closed.
