This is located close to the JFK Memorial Plaza. A closed hut often missed by tourist but captured by photographer or travellers.

How wild it must have been when John Neely Bryan came to Wild Texas! The Peters Colony -- the banks of the Trinity River! So glad that this little cabin stands as a testament to the pioneers who forged onward to get here and establish this empire we call Dallas. My own Great-Great-Great-Grandfather arrived in 1846 ! I am a descendant of a a Dallas Pioneer! His land was granted to him from The Peters Colony in 1846 - The George Floyd Survey in South Dallas. This little cabin -and so many more started it all! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: Native Dallasite - Home Sweet Home- Roots since 1846!

Very interesting exhibit - good to see in person but obviously requires a bit more maintenance expense to avoid the fate of similar structures in rural areas.

Cool place, but you need to visit the old red courthouse and learn about the history of Dallas. Then check out the cabin!

Es increíble creer que en esa cabaña inició la gran ciudad que Dallas es hoy.
