Beautiful well kept park!! We jogged here one misty morning and I found so many trees with burls! The paths were nice and all of the areas just look well thought out and loved. I was a hair disappointed that the little japanese garden I remember from my childhood didnt live up to expectations, but well brush that up to my perspective being different now that Ive grown 3 feet.

This is a really nice park. It is big enough to spread out in order to maintain social distancing. There are multiple playground areas for the kids, disc golf, and the creek to splash and play in. I love the trails in the garden area, and the Japanese Garden is very pretty - I wish it still had water in it! There are lots of different picnic table areas and overall many things to do for adults, kids, and doggos.

Is there a way to get our Japanese garden up and running water in it. I remember when I was a kid and it was not dry or lifeless. It is where I was married to Jeff Martin more than 22 years ago. Garth Brooks. Lookin back on the memory of. The dance we sharebeneath the stars above.

Such a wonderful park and definitely the place to be on the weekends with so much going on. I used to go crawdad fishing here as a kid and its nice to see thats still popular.Theres disc golf with some small biking trails going through the course which is a lot of fun. Theres covered areas with large tables, plenty of restrooms and parking, and its connected to the arboretum -- which you should walk through because its wonderful too!Plus the new waterfront path is beautiful! I cant wait until that path connects to the other part of town.

The Dallas City Park is, in general, a rather nice location. The creekside areas are beautiful and still have some degree of nature, allowing for children to enjoy themselves. Above all, the arboretum is the place to be; still maintained, still vibrant, and excellent for walking in the summer months. The only thing I rate the park lower for is the Japanese garden; it was once a beautiful place, Im sure, but has not been really kept up to the same standard as the rest of the area.

Nice park. A family member rented an area for a grad party here. For paying, they had expected the grill and covered area to be cleaner. it was still nice to have the area to ourselves, even if we did have to clean up the place up a bit first.basically, if your trying to get there, set up, and get the party going, dont. Give yourself enough time to clean first before your guests get there, when renting a covered area here. Especially if youre using the grill.

The Dallas City Park is Stunning! One of its kind! A must see when visiting Dallas Oregon. There are 4 entrances for vehicles. Basketball hoops at the parking lot at Walnut and Levens streets w/ Horseshoe pits on opposite side.Entry there leads into the park where there are 2 more parking areas.Theres a walking bridge conjoining the parks 2 sides. The Rickreal Creek winds its beautiful way through the cottonwood trees with walking Trails surrounding and along side the creek.Youll find covered picnic areas w/BBQ grills, electrical outlets and Kitchen sinks. 2 Gazebos, 1 has a Fire Place. Picnic tables and bbqs are scattered throughout.Theres an arboretum. Also theres displays inside of local insects, moths and butterflies. As you walk the trails, there are informative kiosks with history of our area and its native people and plants.Popular for its year round Frisbee Golf course & for theAnnual events held the final weekend in July - Art in the Park, Breakfast in the Park and a Car Show, The Dallas City Park brings people here to compete, compare, & share. When all that excitement is passed we still have the playgrounds, the beauty & the serenity that our city park has always offered. I hope youll at least check it out if u find yourself in Dallas Oregon, enjoy! : )

Weekdays are really nice. Its about a mile around the perimeter. Lots of garbage cans for dog residue. Lots of shades has a creek running through the middle of it which means theres always some place for your pups to get a drink. The arboretum has lots of cut off trails for people who might be physically hampered so that they can take a shorter route and say get tired. Very homey

The Dallas city park has always been my favorite park since I was a child and I am sharing the memories with my child. It has lots of old trees, play area for the children and wonderful events. However taking a stroller across the wooden bridge is a joke. The gaps on the bridge cause my stroller tires to always fall in them. They need to lesson the gap or put something on the bridge so that this doesnt happen. Besides that thank you Dallas for the wonderful memories.
