I was under the impression that this museum was free (the google question and answer people said it was free and donations were accepted). 2 adults and 1 three year old we paid $12 not bad and completely worth it. My son had so much fun. The person in charge there gave us a brief history on the museum. He was so nice. There’s jackets and helmets for kids to put on and you can get on some of the fire engines. It was a experience. I highly recommend this place specially for little ones.

I dont know how many times Ive been by this place and thought to myself, I need to go check that out. Well, I finally did and it did not disappoint. This is a place that will wow young and old. The docent is a retired firefighter. His dad served in Dallas. He and his son in the near south DFW suburbs. Friendly and informative.

This is a great place to take kids young and old. The curators show how the stations were run in the 1900. Then how they have changed through time, wow. There is a lot of vintage fire trucks and equipment. Tell Buba hi when you drop by.

Cute little place. My kiddos 4&3 loved it. It isnt big and flashy but it gave us a way to kill 2 hours while waiting for a family member.

My Stepdad is a retired Captain of an Irving Fire Station, so myself and my children have great memories of this. Going to visit the inside of an Historical Dallas Firestation in the City I am from was pretty awesome. It was interesting to see how the different decades operated for emergency fire response. They used to have the original fire hose steam truck pulled by horses! Original fire pole still there as well. Good visit where ypu can actually walk around and go upstairs and look at every thing.

This place is no longer donation only per the board of directors. Adults are $6, unsure on kids price because my son is 2 and they are free. 2 and under free. Its inside of an old fire house so it can get pretty warm inside. The history lesson to start it off is pretty neat, and overall a very enjoyable experience.

My Dad was a firefighter in Fulton County Georgia in the 70s and 80s, and the job cost him his life. I finally felt ready to look at that part of my history again (without crying), and I did pretty good through the majority of the tour. I saw so many things that were achingly familiar to me from my childhood, and really enjoyed myself. I fell apart when I went to the bathroom, and Im not sure why; there was nobody waiting in line, so I had time to stay locked in there staring at the showers and grieve just a bit. All in all, a great experience that left me feeling very connected to my late father.

My friend and I went here not to long ago for school assignment and I absolutely loved it! We were the only two there so we got to peacefully look throughout the museum after the tour. Very sweet and polite tour guide and it was pretty clean and comfortable environment. However we went when the state fair was going on so parking was kind of hard, but that shouldnt be an issue normally. Only $4 for adults to enter. Anyone needing to go to a museum for a project or paper this is the one you should go to!!
