This is an amazing church, sharing a sincere spiritual gospel and very welcoming of all people! LGBTQ friendly. Episcopal Christians by faith and shows love to all with no judgments! Beautiful artistic stainglassed windows and many historical sights to enjoy inside .Also, civil wars times, secret tunnels located under the church.

The history tour was okay. probably would have been better without young kids. Kids 10+ might enjoy it. Building doesnt seem friendly to folks with dust or mold allergies though.

I entered the Healing at the Well Art Show and won first place! I then stayed for the musical play on the history of Cumberland. Excellent musical performances! In all it was a wonderful experience for me. The church itself is a work of art and although I am a local person, this was the first time being inside the church. Its gorgeous!!

Beautiful church and warm, friendly congregation. My wife and I attended a summer service while we were in town and were warmly welcomed by several people both before and after the service, including a lovely couple who talked to us after the service and shared some of the fascinating history of the church and its role in the Underground Railroad and the story of the gorgeous Tiffany windows. If I lived in Cumberland I would most definitely attend this church.

A historic church built on the site of old Fort Cumberland. A gorgeous gothic church featuring hand chiselled stone, Tiffany stained glass windows and an inviting feeling. Not my home church, but it was there for me to gaze at as a child. Over the years Ive watched fireworks from there, taken my young children through the hand-dug caves underneath the church. At one time this area was French, Spanish, and British. At another time , this could be called a grey area, or region between opposing sides of our civil war. Gorgeous stone, wood, and windows.

Beautiful church built on the site of Fort Cumberland a French and Indian War Fort. Original trenches and a Watergate survive from the time of the Forts occupation. Started in 1754 and expanded in 1755 by General Edward Braddock of the British Armys Coldstreams guard and commander of his majesties forces in North America. This site marks the spot of George Washingtons beginning and ending of his military career.

If your looking for the snooty & rich Church where everyones noses are in the air, then this is the Church for you! Its rather sad that no one welcomed me and my children to their Christmas Vigil. We felt as though we were not welcome there. Sad. The atmosphere was cold and uninviting. No Spirit here. This is more of a cold old peoples church if you have silver hair and gold in your teeth. We will never go back to that cold,, unwelcoming, set in their way chapel. Maybe if Im 90.? I think not! This is why the youth of the world is going so wayward. Its because of cold Christians like these I suppose. Very disheartening.

The guide gave us a tour of the church and of the underground tunnels while giving us a short history lesson. It was interesting.

I visited this place a few times and found those who regularly attended this church are cold hearten miserable people. Calling people behind their backs evil and taking a story as accurate but is full of lies. Maybe you should change the All is Welcome and worded as follows. We hate visitors.

Site of the previous Fort Cumberland, at the border of theBritish colony of Maryland, and New France. There are tunnels in the basement that supposedlydate back to the time of the fort. Tours availableduring Heritage Days, usually 1st weekend in June. The stained glass windows in the church are wortha look as well.
