We have stayed twice at Fairfield Glades this summer. Our first visit we expected a decent little condo from a random booking online and were FLOORED by how beautiful these condos are. We did the timeshare spiel and it sucked but the 4 hours was well worth a whole week free. Our second trip the condo was just as beautiful, just a little smaller. Wasn’t a big deal though since just the 2 of us this time. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. (Edited to say that we did the timeshare appointment again and they stayed within the 90 minutes promised and the rep was not pushy or relentless. Guess it all depends on who you get).

MY girlfriend and I took a long weekend to enjoy some RnR and after looking into places we had never been before, we landed at the Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Glade. As a young couple, we were extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay. The apartment we got was excellent. It was wonderfully furnished and had a great kitchen (we cooked our meals all weekend without trouble). Plus, the community is both beautiful and peaceful. We wanted time to just relax and unwind from the stress of work and Covid, and this location was perfect. If you are looking for bountiful outdoor opportunities and a relaxing place to unwind at the end of the day, you wouldnt be upset landing here.

We stayed in Oak Knoll. Very secluded and quiet. Unit had all we needed. Enjoyed the balcony. Only negative for us personally was that it was a tri- level and we rather have less steps. Everything was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Check in was fast. Lots to do in the area, shopping, gas etc close by. Loved it will return.

Our room was not as clean as we expected, considering the current health crisis protocols. We had to ask several times for the dust and food scraps left under the sofa to be cleaned up. There were black fingerprints on all the doors that we cleaned ourselves with clorox wipes. The staff was accommodating, but requests had to be made several times to get action. The hairdryer was missing and it took two calls to get one.

To me, this is not a five star resort. That does not mean it is not a five star place to stay. The accommodations are a bit basic, some even aged, but the location is fantastic and the staff is wonderful! From check in to check out we felt special every time we interacted with the staff. We hunted for antiques, food, wine, and adventures and found them. Hiking, waterfalls, and bird watching were also great. We were very happy and want to go back!

Very disappointed in handling of concierge desk. When we arrived, our Google directions brought us to a surgery center, which clearly isn’t associated with Wyndham. I had to search for some time in the neighboring area to find the check-in building, as I am not from the area. When I told the people at the front desk, they brushed it off and the informed me the building to which I was directed was once owned by Wyndham, but Google maps still had it as their address from years ago. When I went to the concierge desk to get a bracelet so my wife and I could access the community center amenities, I was pressured to attend a meeting that was “pre-scheduled” and presented to me as a “perk” of being related to an owner. Ten times I had to say I was not interested in attending this meeting. TEN TIMES. I understand the meeting is a high-pressure sales tactic in order to keep this timeshare business afloat, because no sensible person would agree to it in any other circumstance.I DID NOT AGREE, nor did I expect to be talked to in that way, and I have never experienced that kind of dialogue at a concierge desk. Clearly, the concierge desk attendant was trained to behave in that manner, and I find that intentionally misleading and dishonest. I will make no plans moving forward to ever attend a Wyndham Resort, and I encourage anyone reading this: DO NOT ATTEND A SALES PITCH MEETING FOR THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT.I feel for the workers of this kind of company, because they are trained to behave this way to line the pockets of the owners. Those preparing and cleaning the room were very good, and I have no complaints regarding anything but the sales model of this company. I reserved this stay as a retreat for my wife and myself on our anniversary, and this has ruined my experience. I learned my lesson, and will go with AirBnb for all future travel.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. From what I understand, this place is quite busy during the warm weather seasons. However, we tend to come up for Christmas. You get all of the benefits of a small town with beautiful views and good people. However, you are only an hour away from larger cities like Knoxville or Chattanooga. You are also just a stones throw away from some nice wineries and state parks. We love coming here just to get away from it all and focus on the family again.

Tucked away in an obscure corner of Tennessee, the Wyndham at Fairfield is a nice facility. We were invited to a special event (read: Sales Pitch disguised as fun) that included a Christmas concert in Nashville. Though we knew about and dreaded the inevitable sales pitch, we decided the concert was worth the pain.Right from the get-go, the staff was very friendly and they took good care of us during our stay, though they kept us pretty well programmed, so we had absolutely no time to explore the area. However from what we could see, there isnt much to explore. Its pretty isolated and thats a good portion of the lack of stars in their review. If youre not a golfer, or its winter time, there isnt much to do except drive to Nashville. Our 2 bedroom unit was nicely furnished with a big screen TV mounted over the real fireplace. They provided enough wood and starters for one good fire and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in front of it. The unit had something of an odd layout. Not bad, just odd. The kitchen was of adequate size, the master bedroom was roomy and comfortable and both bathrooms were modern and fully functional! A huge plus. There are a couple Buts though. The walls are paper thin and we could clearly hear people knocking around in the unit next to ours. Luckily they left soon after we arrived so it wasnt an ongoing issue. The only other problem was the modem for wireless. It was located right next to the master bed and flashed its blinky lights. All. Night. Long. I should have either unplugged it, or covered it but I didnt want to mess with it. I didnt sleep all that well either though. The inevitable sales pitch came on our last day, and while I can honestly say Ive been to worse pitches, its rare to see people who are so very determined to sell you their plan. We were there for well more than the two hours we were promised and finally had to say, Can we please stop saying no now? Its getting old and wed really like to leave. They eventually released us. As determined as they were though, they were still friendly, even after we begged for and obtained our freedom. (Many times the sales staff gets a little snippy after you refuse their pitch. That didnt happen at Fairfield and they get extra points for that.)Bottom line: its a nice resort, though too isolated for our tastes. We most likely wont be back.

Our 2 bedroom unit was nice. Clearly an older unit, but had been refurbished. Very roomy and clean. Wifi within unit very poor other than in one bedroom. Unlike many of the wyndham resorts just about everything here costs money(fitness center, etc all have fees). Checkin process is as normal a hassle. We got a just a couple keys for a large group at checkin and had to come back the next day for wristbands for room keys for everyone and discount bands for the activities. Got a call at 10:30 reminding me to stop by anytime to pick up those wristbands. At 11:30 they were all in a meeting. At 12:30 they still were not around. Same with 1:00. Finally at 1:30 we got them(we were renting a boat and the discount with the armband was around $50 which is why it was frustrating to have to keep coming back). Of course this is where they try to talk you into scheduling a time to tell you how great the resort is(ie a sales pitch). I get the sales pitch part, but dont tie it to getting things like a reasonable number of room keys..... that should be part of checkin process.Overall it is great location if you are wanting to hike, fish, or golf in the area The actual resort amenities though are not so good(and most cost $$$). There is an onsite Kroger grocery store, but in reality it has less groceries than your typical gas station and is mostly a pharmacy so plan accordingly.

I feel horrible for having to turn down a customer of theirs today. Well, its a regular thing but I felt horrible for this person especially. They are unable to provide basic needs to their handicapped guests who are unable to stay there comfortably. Devonnie Cunning has made it to where I refuse to cater to their guests needs because of issues that he needs to resolve with me. Maybe its basic math he doesnt understand or maybe he thinks he can just do whatever he wants. But this establishment will not provide recliners for their guest. This place has many seniors who need these things in order to sleep. But because of this mans actions I will NOT be accommodating their gusts any further.

Not much to do in area besides resort but is a great place and offers a lot where not much else is needed. Did see black ants but is understandable being near a wooded area. Did have to have back porch cleaned off with bird poop but were there immediately to do so. People were helpful, rooms had much to offer. Did I say, stay away from presentation. This was a hard-sell for timeshares. We entered the lobby, and we could barely hear over the racket at the concierge desk. After being assigned a condo, we were told that the next step was to pick up our final information at the concierge desk and that theyd give us valuable information regarding local activities. Then the strong arming began. They pushed hard for becoming involved in the local amenities and the questions became personal. They at first encouraged us to join them for breakfast in the morning, then they explained that it was free, but only if we listened to a 45-minute seminar. When we refused, the big guns came out. The salesman said that he was just trying to make his boss happy, and that there was a camera recording our discussions. I waved at the camera. The boss came out, basically questioned us about not taking part in the seminar, and was transparent in her efforts of pushing us into something that we had already refused. They reminded me of a used car salesman. I finally went to the lobby and sat down while my husband continually declined their offer. I can be a bit vocal and impatient when being pushed into something we repeatedly declined. I wont even get started on the problems with our condo.Be diligent about looking at all reviews. You will find horror stories of elderly people being thrust into timeshares without them understanding what the contract entails. This resort is filled with scheisters trying to fill their quotient at whatever the cost.Beware.

This was our 1st vacation away in 6 years and we could not enjoy or relax in the room. The walls are thin and would be normal to hear footsteps, but it was non stop thumping and dropping and banging noises. After first night notified front desk, Tina and Michelle twice. Told they would let them know and to call security after hours. We asked if we could be moved to any other room and told know. Complained second d night same response. As a Wyndham member not the response we expected, were told that’s really normal the noise being on bottom floor. On our 3rd night and same thing, one more night to go. Advice, demand top floor.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are magnificent!! We stayed in the two bedroom 2 bath. It was large and spacious! It also had a sofa sleeper. We used it just because, but didn’t have to. The unit could easier fit 4 adults and 2 or 4 kids depending on how you utilize the space. We did agree to the 90 minute presentation, however I regret I did. The manger (Renae) was very pushy and consistently tried to sale me on their vacation package. I advised her, I’m engaged and planning a wedding next year. I cannot afford to make any unnecessary large purchases, but she insisted that it was such a great deal since it was my first presentation with Wyndham. I explained to her, I was just prequalified for a new home and I didn’t want to jeopardize that by purchasing a vacation package with Wyndham. She didn’t care, she said “ maybe your dad can purchase it for you”, at this point I couldn’t take it anymore. I told her for a 7th time, I don’t know how many different ways I have to tell you NO, but this is my last time! I signed the decline offer and left! Beware!!!
