Best zoo ever!! The owners are such nice people, and the animals there are happy to live there! Feeding Levi at 12pm everyday is truly amazing! There are so many encounters with the animals. And the Fat Sloth is a place near the middle of the zoo where you can get ice cream for you or Gibby (one of the animals, Say Whoop whoop near him), water or (soda or pop) and popcorn! Love this place so much!!

I live in Fort Walton Beach, FL and this place is better than all the zoos near me including the one Gulf breeze. The staff is very friendly and so are the animals. I come here at least 3x a month. It never gets old. They are always getting new animals and the cost is just right.

A quaint little zoo that has a variety of animals for a cheap price. However, if you choose to get the full experience like ride a camel, participate in the encounters or feed the animals the price increases with each add on. You can easily visit the entire zoo in less than a couple hours. They even had an animal or two that I have not seen in person elsewhere. It seems they are constantly working to improve and expand. A little off the beaten path, it is a nice little journey to visit these sweet animals. The signs to feed or not feed the animals could be a little more clear to help people abide by the rules. Medium size birds run freely throughout the park. If you happen to be in the area, stop in for a look and visit the small giftshop.

Wednesday 7/1/20 1pmThis is a must see. $10 per person. Extra $6 gets you a small bag of feed, a stick of bird seed and a token to redeem for a leaf to feed the giraffe. Goats and chickens run free. There are zebras, emus, donkeys, a giraffe, lemurs, parrots, a bird atrium, a lion, tiger (no bears) and much more. There is a camel and for an extra fee you can ride him. This is a scaled down version of a larger major city zoo. Take the kids and spend a couple hours here. You wont be disappointed. Please check out their web site for more and current info.

Wonderful smaller zoo!!! They have animal experiences that you can purchase with the lions & tigers, kangaroos and sloths. We chose the lions & tigers, so we got to feed them and touch their backs through the fence. It was great to get up close and personal. You can also buy food for goats, parakeets and giraffes. The zoo workers are super knowledge and friendly. Will definitely visit again!

Hello from Massachusetts. Our first time at Emerald Zoo, we enjoyed being there. It was pretty different than any other zoo we been to. We love how the chickens and peacocks roam around freely. We fed llamas, goats, sloths, birds, and a giraffe. We even rode a camel! It was pretty cool to see the animals we would never see in Franklin Zoo. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Some of them would walk around with snakes and monkeys that we can touch and hold! It’s also affordable and I would definitely come here again!!!

We were at Miramar Beach last week and visited the zoo on Tuesday, July 7. We had 9 in our party that ranged from 2 1/2 to 65 and all loved this zoo. If you can do an animal encounter I would recommend it. Two in our party fed the tigers and lion and are very happy they did that encounter. My 21 year old granddaughter and 7 year old grandson fed and petted the sloths and are still talking about it. The pictures I took show their enthusiasm for the encounters. The zoo is clean, maintained well and has great knowledgeable staff. You can tell the staff loves their jobs and the animals they tend. I highly recommend a visit to this zoo.

I cant say enough good things about this park! It is small but admission is just right. The best part of this zoo is how hands on it is! Love this zoo!!! It was rescued by a family a few years ago; they are upgrading the facilities and are working to improve the lives of the animals they care for. They just purchased an additional 10 acres and plan to expand the living areas for the animals and create more areas for rescue and education. They offer camping, guided tours, a small gift shop, camel rides, and monthly morning yoga next to the petting area. I cant wait to see how Emerald Coast Zoo grows over the coming years.

I went here today, was an okay zoo it could’ve been a lot better. You have about 6 pigs, with no mud. It was 95 today. It protects their skin from sunburn. You had the smallest thing for them to drink waters out of. I had to use a ponytail to keep it running so it made mud for them your welcome. You also have two water buffaloes with nooo water for them to get into. They are endangered and they use water to keep their body temp down and not to over heat. Do what you want with this information but you could have a good zoo. Please don’t have animals if you can’t prove everything

The animals look happy and well taken care of and you are able to interact with a lot of them too, which made our experience all the better. It is so inexpensive for admission and well worth every penny. I highly recommend you pay the extra and experience one on one interaction with some of the certain species. We have come to this delightful small zoo several times. My grandson loves feeding the animals in the large area in the front, with sheep, llamas, goats, donkeys big and small...He was enchanted with the chickens and pretended to stalk a peacock. This is an amazing place. This was one of the first attractions that my family and I visited when we first moved to Florida in 2001. If you want your kids to see, touch, and feed well cared for animals, take them here. Heck their gift shop souvenirs are even not unreasonably marked up.Debbie (previous owner) should be proud of what theyve done with the place.Old photo. Grandson is 9 now.

Nice little zoo. Most areas well shaded, and you can tell the staff cares about the animals. However, a little concerned with the size of some enclosures. They have crowdsourced to build the lion a bigger enclosure, but original enclosure will be for the tigers and it seems awfully small for a couple of tigers. Also the wolves and monkey enclosures seemed small.I also wish the zoo had something healthier, like carrots, that kids can feed the goats and other animals instead of the pellets. Was very happy to see the giraffes do not get pellets though (like some zoos), but you can pay to feed them some leaves. Also noticed the geese and ducks had some produce too, which was nice to see. However the water ponds needed to be cleaned out in the capybara enclosure. Might be dirty from the recent storms though. They do have animal encounters for additional fees. Overall, was pleasantly surprised but hope the zoo will continue to improve. Kids had fun.
