Old plant/treatment off river. Trails for hiking, plant and tree markers/name plaques. Benches every 300 feet for fishing or a picnic. River access.

Gorgeous trail that sticks close to Sugar Creek. Covered picnic tables every .1 miles. Beautiful sycamores and a damn view. A tent with some homeless people in it towards the end of the trail and a couple inactive spots with telltale leftovers.

Nice quiet shaded walkway along Sugar Creek. Giant old trees identified with markers. Very peaceful.

This was a little difficult to find at first, but upon arrival it was a very nice place. The trails were clear of obstacles and the scenery was pretty. We even saw a baby copperhead snake! The trails were easy to follow and it was a very enjoyable walk. I would definitely visit again.

I used to love it but now it’s not even cleared out all the way only one side of the trails are cleared out and the grassy areas are all grown up to the point that I’m afraid to walk through them because of snakes and ticks. Please clear out all the trails and cut the grassy area shorter!! Also maybe put up signs asking people to not leave trash there was a ton of trash. There was also someone camped out in a tent? Mowing more that once a week would be nice if you’re not going to cut the grass shorter. It would just make it a little bit safer of an environment for everyone if everything wasn’t over grown.

A peaceful escape to the deciduous forest just seconds from downtown. Some impressive specimens of a variety of old growth trees. Lots of access points on the bank Sugar Creek. I would advise you to wear bug repellant and be mindful of nettle if your kiddos go reaching for toads in the brush.

Lots of trash laying around....the one trash can they have near the creek rarely gets dumped! People camp there all the time and leave their trash and waste.....since there arent bathrooms, u see their mess everywhere. Sometimes people stay there for more than a week. The tent has been there since the middle of May. Trash hasnt been picked up for several months.

A great place to take a canoe out! Its beautiful and quiet. Little sand bars everywhere youcan stop and take a break and unpack a picnic basket

The worst canoe experience i have ever had. I have been canoeing indiana creeks and rivers for years. I have never had to get out and walk my canoe as much as this place. You have to carry your canoe more than you float. You even have to carry your canoe over a hazardous wall. This place flat out sucks!

Nice park with a short loop trail and access to Sugar Creek.Sugar Creek is a beautiful stream, but the low-head dam at the former CEL&P power plant presents a public safety hazard that all kayakers, canoeists, fishermen, and swimmers should be aware of and avoid.

I enjoyed my walk here, gives you some great views of the creek. Not to difficult so any age could walk it. Plenty of little bench shelters for you to sit at.
