Wonderful place for little kids. Lifeguards. Small with a beach and my kids love it. Parking is $25 so we parked outside near a cemetery to avoid the fee.

Beautiful public park with a playscape, pavilion and beach on Coventry lake. I believe there is a parking fee from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, which is a one time fee for the season if youre a resident of Coventry.

Rented the park lodge for my babies first birthday... very quickly park filled up with sketchy people littering and blasting music. Took up all the parking spots which forced my elderly family members to have to walk long distance to building. But what bugged us all the most were the strangers walking into the building during our party and using the bathroom even when we told them to get out. Do not rent here from end of May to August this park is taken over by disrespectful people who don’t care about anything but themselves and trashing the park. Town of Coventry do something about this and stop turning a blind eye to it.

The park is open during the week, however my children and I were not allowed to use the beach or go in the water. The town has a day camp for children and the Counselors told me that We had to wait until camp is over to use the amenities. I paid for the sticker granting me access, but its only good on weekends and after 5 pm on weekdays. The playground has good shade, the covered picnic area and basketball court are more centralized at Patriots Park than at Lisicke Beach, located across the lake, the other location the car pass I purchased grants me access to. Patriots Park, for the reasons I mentioned earlier is a much better park...however, the town not allowing me and my children to use the park during the week prevents me from using the pass. Im a Coventry resident, but Id rather use Bolton CT parks instead. Coventry Parks and Rec needs to get their act together.

Nice beach and play area near Coventry Lake lake. It has a playscape and swings for all ages. Covered picnic area as well. Beach is open to public and town residents after 3pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. During the week the camp uses it during the day. Beach is well maintained and life guards on duty. Stage for concerts on Thursday nights during the summer. Using a lake pass for town residents isnt very expensive and anyone in your car is included, but it can be a little pricey to pay by the visit for out of town guests.

Patriots Park is a beautiful lakeside park maintained by the town of Coventry. The grounds include a beach on Lake Wangumbaug aka Coventry Lake, a lodge that can be rented for events, a band shell where concerts are held in the summer, an outdoor pavilion and playscape equipment for children. It is also an excellent place to spend an evening watching the sun set over the lake! While in the area, you may also enjoy visiting the historic green right across the street from the entrance to the park. The green was used as a military training ground during the time of the Revolution and now is home to various war memorials including the Connecticut State Vietnam War Memorial and a newly erected statue of Coventrys native son Nathan Hale who gave his life for the cause of American Independence.

This is by far one of the worst lakes I have been to. Very dirty the restrooms where locked and they had Porter potties that where not even usable. I think if your paying $25 to go in you should at least be able to use the restrooms. The lady that I spoke to was ver unprofessional and didnt even care.

I wouldnt even it a 1 for rate i would give it a zero the porter potties where so disgusting the bathrooms where locked we paid $25.00 to get in and we come to find out that everyone else that went in after us didnt even paid. I called to give feed back and the rude ladie told me that I should had gone somewhere else it was my first and last time going there. She was very unprofessional and rude she told me the bathrooms where locked because she couldnt afford to fix them every time so that means that people are just suppose to use the nasty porter potties im I told the rude lady that when we left the girl that was in the entrance told us that it depends on who is at the gate that charges she obiously wasnt charging. My experience was a zero and that ladie shouldnt be talking to anyone because its giving you a bad reputation.
