Store was clean and organized, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the check out process was very quick. There was a young associate assisting a woman and he remained very calm and polite even when she raised her voice at him and requested a manager.

I had never been to this store before because I have one very close to my home. The Michaels I usually go to was out of the supplies I needed and the CM location had it all. Not knjh did they have everything I needed in one shop, but the store was clean and well organized. The checkout process was painless (I had a return also) and the cashier went above and beyond to make sure the transactions went smoothly, coupons and all!

I have shopped at Michaels for years since I was a child, and this was my first visit to the Costa Mesa location. Worst experience I have ever had. The staff that work there dont care to help and have a condescending attitude. I will never return to this location.

Michaels is a nice place, and its easy to take advantage of their coupons if you have their app. Its kinda a 50/50 chance that theyll have a staff member that knows how to help you find what you need of youre not sure, and many of the local craft stores will have what youre looking for at a better price and have more expertise to tap into, so make sure you check there first.

They have everything under the sun this one is fully stocked always has a lot of staff on the floor ready willing to help can help you find anything and if they cant find it they can probably tell you where you can I love going here I love the variety no matter what it is this is the place to go no matter if youre making something small or you just need to repair piece of jewelry they have lots of stones lots of little pieces that you can use to not only repair but make your own jewelry so over all this is the place to go for handicrafts and home decoration!

Not the best, couldnt find any staffs to help me with getting what I needed up top. I ended up pushing the ladders and climbed up myself. Im afraid of height. Not very dirty and no way near neat and organized. They are getting paid hourly, but dude, do your job as if its your last job, or else, quit. Find something better where you can be more productive!

Excellent selection of crafting items

Had to give this place a five star review simply because the cashier was really sweet and honored the pricing that was on the shelf instead of what the item apparently cost. Unlike other stores, this one didn’t really have too many employees on the floor so we had a bit of trouble navigating our way throughout the store to find what we needed. It was pretty busy on a Thursday but luckily there were two cashiers instead of one. No coupons were used on this visit but again I appreciated her kindness in honoring the price tag.

Terrible ManagerOn 01.29.19 I saw an item online at this location for $7.99 (needed 6 of them) went in store around 2:30pm and found the price to be 12.99. I asked what’s the deal with that. Cashier says oh thats online only price. Fair enough! But the website said that you can buy online for $7.99 and pick it up in store same day. I told the cashier who asked the manager and the manager says: you would have to come back tomorrow!I then showed her Michaels website where it stated “SAME DAY PICK UP” Manager did not like that at all.. She says: you would need to buy online and have to come back and pick it up much later today..What on earth lady. Why are you trying to push customers out the door? I ended up paying $25 more than advertised price. This lesson of buying this product on amazon cost me $25 so thanks to that Manager, I will buy decorations elsewhere ;)

This location has a decent craft selection but art supplies and yarn are a bit limited. Always offer coupons to keep the prices decent.

Was looking for the scented stickers on line it showed they had seven in stock. Asked the employees were can I find them and they just told me to go on the clearance aile. Was all over the store looking for them didnt find them. I think they should have try to make more effort to help me find them not just to point them were might they have them.

Its a Michaels. Everybody knows that. But it is a pretty good one. All the regular arts+crafts stuff and a solid selection of seasonal stuff, plus the great coupon discounts. The management at this one seem to have the staffing thing figured out well enough. The staff are knowledgeable and shift over to support checkout when the lines get long.

Staffing was great there was no wait to pay for items. Ask a question and was taken to where item is. My shopping trip and a wonderful and quick experience.

I got amazing deals on canvases and paints during one of Michaels great 70% off sale. It had been a while since Id felt my creative energies surge, and needing to desperately restock my art supplies, I bought a little more than I would purchase regularly. I bought 12 various large sized pre-stretched canvases and 13 various acrylic paints. I bought the items online, making sure the items were in stock, for pick-up at this local Michaels. The price was amazing and I was saving a lot of money by not paying the shipping for all those canvases; I thought this was great! This was my first time using this service.Shortly after I placed my order (I was pleasantly surprised), I received my email that my order was ready. I went to the store to pick-up. Not knowing exactly where to go, I asked the cashier at the front of the store where it was, and she directed me to Framing, located at the back of the store. I went and picked up my order, putting my large canvases and paints into a shopping cart.As I was leaving the store, the same cashier stopped me to ask if these were items Id picked up and already paid for - and asked this in a rather skeptical, accusatory tone that honestly took me back. I was a bit surprised by this question, since shed answered my question about Online Order Pick-Up when I first walked into the store. I simply told her, yes I did, and walked out.I will not shop at Michaels again. The great deals arent worth being exposed to rude store associates. In my opinion, Michaels online ordering system is not a good one if store employees have to carefully scrutinize paying customers who are simply using their awesome and efficient service, as though they were shoplifters, walking out of the store with a cart full of art supplies. The sale was great, the selection was awesome, but my encounter with the Customer Service of the store associates ruined the whole experience. Its not worth it to me. In the future, Ill pay a bit more and take my business to a local art supply store, where the employees dont make the customer regret shopping there.

When I shop at Michaels I have fun looking through arts and crafts. The sale rack has an item I seem to want or need. Cashiers are friendly and helpful.

Lacking in customer service. Makes you feel like an inconvenience. Was there to pick up some crafts, and didnt realize I left my wallet at home in my other purse until I got to the register. Honest mistake, happens to the best of us. Apologized to the clerk and she just seemed annoyed. She put my bag of stuff aside and mumbled something under her breathe as I walked away. Very rude. Very unprofessional and immature. Who are you hiring Michael? These people represent your business. No matter what great goods you may provide, at some point no one will put up with such poor treatment.

There are a lot of good things about Michaels. But I am speaking to this visit and recent experience. They dont carry anything in the wedding section except white and burlap. There are other colors involved in weddings and its frustrating not to find them. Theyre fabric paint were low, not many to choose from not many colors. I returned to the store on this day with a coupon I received after a purchase the previous day. The coupon was for 40% off. I went into the store specifically to buy an item that was a little more than I would like to pay for. I ended up buying several products, only one of them was on sale. I went through the checkout and left the store then checked my receipt and found that the coupon had not been applied to any of the items. When I read the fine print on The Identical coupon, I was given after my purchase today, there were so many limitations and exclusions that I cant even think of anything that I would buy from them that wouldnt be excluded. Really a Shameless and deceitful ruse to bring people in. It just made me angry and makes me want to shop elsewhere.

Well organized store. Very clean and perfectly maintained. Staff are very low key and friendly. Never too busy for a quick shopping stop.

They had what we needed, but when we went back to the framing department and asked the clerk (who didnt come out from the back for a couple minutes during a non-busy part of the day) to help us find a frame for my late grandmothers photo, she said she couldnt help us. We found the frame and tools ourselves, but wow!

The employees are really nice and found what I was looking for in a really good price. Watercolor, brush set and a drawing book each $5 which totaled $15. Good material and all worth the money and go.

I used the Aaron Brothers framing service inside Michaels. The result was pretty good in terms of photographic quality, but the hardware on the back, I asked for one middle sawtooth back and ended up getting two. Which is going to be a huuuuge pain in the butt for measuring out where screws go and whatnot. Unfortunately, I would be unlikely to use this service again.Update: Dropping this review from 3 stars to 1 star. The Canvas is starting to peel away from the foamboard after less than a month. Two of the five had only one hook on the back instead of two, and that one solo hook was CROOKED, not even in the center! Sheesh! I also noticed upon closer inspection that they managed to cut out a lot of the letters from the large 5 pieces of canvas I had cut (they cut too close to the image which wound up cutting out letters!).

Crafts. Love the store fo for the kids however it is lacking in professional artist supplies. Not a place to go if youre looking for stuff that are tools of your trade. Great place to go for school projects fun with your kids small or can crafts projects that kind of thing
