Vintage Classic Theater - Great experience. Overall attention to detail is high in these amazingly nice small theaters. Multi colored subdued lights in each theater. Heavy high quality drapes and artistic wall adornments add to the experience. Small capacity theaters enhance the intimate nature of film watching. Seating is very comfortable and sound system is outstanding. Its obvious that a great amount of time and effort was spent designing these amazing theaters. My favorite place to watch a film. Very highly recommended.

This is a smaller movie theater in the heart of Coronado California. It was built in 1947 I believe and it has a main screening room that holds a good amount of people and 2 smaller rooms that hold 34 people each. I love the vintage feel and the popcorn is really good.

Great local theater, the popcorn has real butter and the seats are comfortable. Charming decore, red curtains, arm rests go up, although the gap between seats can be uncomfortable if you try to sit close together (I suppose experience may vary on that count). They only have 3 screens but location, location, location!

Always exciting when a movie I have been waiting for is playing here! Its the best small, personal. clean, classic style, movie theater to watch a movie. The main room is not too big not too small for new movies. The other 2 smaller rooms, have a home/personal theater feel!3 rooms in totalAffordable tickets! What more do you want? OH if you are always hungry and need to eat junk food all the time and like to complain when it comes to all things related to food, youll probably going to be upset with the concession stand. If offers the basics - popcorn, beverages and some candy!WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED.If you take a lot for granted in your life, dont come here and bring your bad energy, go some where else with that sh*t! :)Thanks!

This theater threw me off when I first went inside. I felt like I was back in time, to where it was simpler to go to the theater. Theres 3 theaters in it. The one I was in has about 4 or 5 rows in it, each with 4-8 chairs. Probably 32 people could fit. There was a curtain that had to open, like at the theater. Really fancy. And the walls were all decked out in old decorations. It was a pretty cool experience. The screen was very crisp

Our favorite movie theater, with intimate auditoriums (two with about 35 seats each and one large with about 100 seats) and extremely comfortable seating. The auditoriums all have interesting murals showing local scenes illuminated with shifting colored lighting. Staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are immaculately maintained. Highly recommend!

I want to love my local cinema. The remodel is beautiful. I can walk to a show. Unfortunately, in the smaller screen rooms, there are more bad seats than good ones. You have to arrive 30 minutes before a showing to get one of the few good seats. The last two shows I attended, my husband and I just couldn’t get to the theater in time for a couple of good seats. I spent 2 hours with my neck torqued to see the screen. The next morning, I still feel it!So, I can leave from my house at the same time and drive off island and have a better selection of seats.Perhaps Vintage needs to offer reserved seats.

An absolute gem of a theater. Vintage Village Theater is charming, pristine, and adorably old time-y. Its also the only historic theater in San Diego. There are 3 theaters ~ one standard size and 2 pocket theaters ~ each with lovely hand painted murals of Coronado and San Diego. The seats are super comfy, the popcorn is freshly popped, and you feel catapulted back to what I imagine a theater experience was like circa 1950s. Seeing a film there is an experience in and of itself. :)

I LOVE this place! The remodel and restoration make it the prettiest theater in San Diego. Lots of graciously spaced seats mean I’m never unhappy no matter where I’m seated. Despite only having three screens they still manage to fit in plenty of revival showings of film classics in addition to whatever the big Hollywood blockbuster is at the moment. Popcorn is always nice and fresh and the staff is super helpful. Plus the tickets are about half of what you’d pay at La Jolla or fashion valley. This place is rapidly becoming my theater of choice.

Since its re-opening this theater has been one of my favorites in San Diego. If you want a decent priced film, comfortable seats, and (normally) a polite crowd, look no further. There is one large theater that shows the latest release, and two smaller theaters. I recommend making sure the film you are seeing is in the larger theater, as the smaller ones tend to feel like youre watching at home (not the best bang for your buck).

Such an amazing theater! The service was great and friendly. The theater was clean, with a beautiful design and vintage feel to it. The video quality was crystal clear, and the surround sound awesome. The seats super comfortable and spacious, and the murals creeated a great environment. There is one larger theater, and two smaller ones that seat about 35-40. It was packed, so youll want to get there at least about 45 minutes early to get good seats. At first, when reading the reviews, we were a bit concerned about the smaller size, but it was so comfortable and ended up being just perfect. One of the best movie experiences weve had, and we will definitely be back.

Village Theater is one of the most beautiful movie theater I have ever seen. In each venue there are hand painted murals of scenes of Coronado and San Diego. The carpet was custom made for this theater, I asked when I saw them installing it. The owners, who I dont know, managed to get three theaters into the one existing space, thus rescuing the old theater space. So two of the spaces are smaller, but the screens are large. The seats are very comfortable, the popcorn freshly popped. A beautiful place to spend the afternoon or evening.

The theatre has recently been remodeled and is lovely! The theatres have murals of San Diego and Coronado, lush red curtains for the movie screens, vintage looking décor.I would only recommend seeing shows in Theater #1. The other two are tiny - and if you have to sit on the side, you have to crane your neck to once side for the entire film.

I have always enjoyed being at the Village Theater but frustrated that we can not find out what is playing beyond Thursdays until Friday news.. Best theater Ive been to in San Diego. The two small theaters are my favorite. So beautiful. Really adds to the whole experience. People there are respective of others. I simply dont see people texting instead of watching the movie. I had stopped going to theaters because of that alone, and it is a joy to find a theater that takes the movie over texting seriously. PLUS, on a Friday night, its not packed in the small theaters. I like that a lot. The matinee is cheaper. Generally, they have three movies to choose from. Nice.
