Big theatre with comfortable seats in the middle and front, little outdated ones in the back. Delicious popcorn at the concession stand. We went there on a Saturday, it wasnt crowded at all. Parking can be little challenging as it does not have a dedicated parking lot. Great service. PS. This is on the base.

Older movie theater with worn seats and less than standard accommodations. It is the standard military base theater that runs the occasional block buster movies at pretty good prices. Highly recommended if you want to save money and sit in a room with 300 other movie goers.

Very good movie theater that is free for veterans and there familys. The moves come out a little after other theaters but it saves you money. They have food and drinks for very cheap prices. One theater and has very good quality

If youre miltary or a dependent than its a free theater. Unlike my hometowns base movie theater they showed movies all days of the week. The snacks were affordable too. If youre looking for something cheap to do on North Island this is probably your safer bet, since Coronado is such an expensive place to be stationed at.

Free movies every day and they have a great snack bars with very decent prices. You can buy a full meal from the snack bar for less than what youd pay for a ticket off base.

Comfortable seating. Very good variety at the snack bar with affordable prices, and some value-for-your-money combos available. The heating system was down the last we were there, so it was pretty chilly when it was in the 50s outside that night. The management was aware and apologetic, but werent sure when it wokd be fixed. We had to bring in throw-blankets to be warm. But well be back just the same. Cant beat the price! (FREE FREE FREE) The people and the snack bar are friendly and efficient. Dealt with concession line quickly.

This is the Base theater and anyone who has access two base may use it. They have my favorite price which is free, all the movies they have are recent. And you can get a popcorn combo for under $5. So remember when you buy stuff from MWR, it supports movie theaters such as one.

Cant beat watching free movies with the family. We love to support the Navy and purchase the snacks in the lobby. Come early...the line gets ling for popcorn. Its a huge theater with plenty of seats. My only complaint is the fan above was so strong (no ac) that it started to dry out mine and my daughters eyes.

If you are in the military or have base access as a contractor or dependent, this theater is a great deal. Free first-run movies and reasonable prices for hotdogs and other fair. This is a classic theater with multiple aisles and a large screen (just like the old days of single-screen theaters). They have redone half the seats, and added ceiling fans, so its more comfortable in the summer. You will not be frozen out by A/C as there is none. Your wife will not need her parka.

Free, Free, Free!!! Located on NASNI in Coronado for active/retired military or civilian employees. Worth the drive to take a large family to the movies. New movies come out a few weeks after the movie theaters. Concession stand reasonably priced. Seating does need to be updated... but again, it’s Free! Enjoy a weekend watching a movie or two, then head to the bowling alley for some family fun. If that doesn’t suit you, head over to the private beach on the base, or head to the Ferry Landing for some ice cream and a bike ride. So much fun!

Located on naval station North Island. Free to military and their guest. Snacks are available and reasonably priced. Movies are only about a week behind theaters on the outside. So if you dont need to see a movie opening and are eligible to use the base, this is the place for you!

Love this theater. Yes you have to wait until after some if these hit the big screens out in town but well worth the amount of money you sound plus the theater is huge and great place to take kids.

It is not bad for what it is and since it is free it is great. The thing is if a movie is coming out for the first day here come early to get seating or nothing will be left. Sometimes they have early release movies here a day or two before other theaters in the area. If you would like to bring your children make sure they go to the restrooms before coming since they are small for the number of people. Parking can also be tight so again come early. Hope this helps!

Excellent sound system. Lots of variety at the snack bar including good value available thru combos. Only shortcoming they have is ZERO A/C! They have giant fans overhead which keep air moving which helped keep it tolerable, but still quite warm on a very warm and humid night.

Theyve made marked improvements over the last few years. Updated the projection and sound equipment and added wifi to the building. The building feels cooler and more comfortable in the summer months too. Its a great free theater for base personnel and their families.

Great spot to just hangout on a boring day. Movies are free and the concession stand isnt an arm an a leg. The size of the theater is really impressive as well. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Went here for the Ant Man and the Wasp premiere. It was very hot in this theater, muggy and humid. There was poor air flow. The concession line was ridiculous, I waited 40 minutes in line. They wrapped the line into the hall way and it seemed short but once I realized it was that long I ended up staying because 20 minutes already went by. I dont think they were ready for customers, service was very slow. The manager was yelling to the workers, keep on going but not trying to help at all. When it was my time to order they told me there were no more holders for everything that I ordered. Then the guy behind him said they just didnt have any folded up. I just told them to give me one so I could do it myself. Then he ended up doing it for me. Both my teas were all syrup. We couldnt even drink them.

Massive theater. National Anthem plays and all stand, (watch your drinks!), then you have 3 seconds to grab a seat before it goes black out dark. Have your phone light ready or you will be stranded in darkness...$5 for small soda and popcorn combo. Very few trailers, expect movie to begin on time.

It free to get in Very large theater but its cold. So bring a jacket or small blanket. The chairs are old but they will be renovating soon

Great place to watch movies for free if youre military. Bad side? Its in a hangar; so, not a great place to watch movies when its raining. Luckily, it hardly ever rains in San Diego. Also, the concession stand is well-priced, but its not quite as tasty as most out-in-town theaters.

What a great theater. It was our first time on the base and we visited McDonalds, the marvelous bowling alley, and saw Captain America Civil War. Should have come here years ago as We often stay at the RV resort at Fiddlers Cove. Another reason why Coronado is one of our most favorite places.
