THIS IS AN AWESOME BOAT CLUB!!! The staff is always helpful and pleasant, the boats always clean and new. This is a great option for someone that wants to have boat access with NONE of the owner maintenance and updating responsibilities. Only FUN in the SUN! We come with the family, Freedom Boat Club brings us ice for the cooler, they help us maneuver out of the docks and away we go! When we return, they also guide us back into the dock, there is no pick up, clean up, washing or gassing up - all that gets taken care of by their amazing staff. 200% recommend to anyone, best investment we ever made.

Nice club, location is convenient the staff are very nice and helpful.The only problem I have with the club is lifetime membership comes with strings and the facts are not communicated accurately,for instance you can suspend your monthly payments but when you start back the price could/will increase.They do not like you to use the club in the late fall or winter?(Jeff makes it complicated) and if you plan to use the club at other locations you will have a 4week window and most of the time they are booked during the prime season..the other thing you should know is if they tie your boat bumpers on your boat and you loose it you will. Pay to replace...I used this club at least twice a week for several years and enjoyed being a member things just got too complicated as they grew...i am not sure I am still a member since no contact has been made from the club in sometime.suprisingly no one seem to care...

Becoming a member of the freedom boat club at Lake Norman has been the best investment I have ever made. I’ve been part of the club since 2013 and I can confidently say that the experiences that I have enjoyed on Lake Norman have been extremely memorable for myself and my family. The process of getting a boat is very seamless and safe. All the fun of owning 40 boats and none of the responsibility. Way cheaper than renting if you boat more than once a month. The staff are so courteous and well trained! We couldn’t be happier!

This is our second year using our Reciprocal membership privileges while vacation in Lake Norman. I cannot stress enough how amazing the dock staff is at all the locations in the area. Super friendly and helpful. Olivia was also a joy to talk to while getting our reservations squared away. The process was simple and hassle free. The boats were clean and in excellent condition. Had a great time on Lake Norman last week. Trey did a great job checking us in and getting us out for a fun time with friends. Trey also notified me that there were storms coming into the lake area and suggested that we start heading back; which I did appreciate. All in all, it was a perfect day for all.

After owning several new boats on Lake Norman, we decided to end covering our boats, servicing our boats, and stressing over whether the engines would operate efficiently after sitting for several months. We looked into the FBC and havent looked back.The staff is amazing, super helpful and polite. They assist leaving the dock and returning.We are so comfortable with our choice and wish we had joined sooner!

Susan was excellent. She walked us through the sign up process quickly and found the plan that worked best for us. It was a pleasure working with her.

We have been happy with the clubs boats. Plan ahead if you want to use the Reciprocal option. All boats are within 2 yrs old, which is awesome. I love that I can try different types of boats.

Today was another great day with Freedom Boat Club, Lake Norman. Noah Watson was our dock attendant who could not do enough for us to make our day perfect. This is not the first time that we have experienced such professionalism with Noah and Kyle at North harbor. They both continue to strive to make us feel as we are the only family that belongs to the club. We can’t thank them enough for always making our boating a memorable one.

My Freedom home club area is in Southwest Florida. I love using my 4 reciprocal reservations when I visit my family on Lake Norman in Cornelius. The Cornelius (Lake Norman) location has the best and newest boats, awesome customer service from ALL of the employees, and just an overall exceptional experience. I highly recommend them!!!

The Freedom Boat Club is a first-rate operation. The dock workers are a great help and they are very friendly. Check-in was quick and the boats are maintained well. I loved the whole experience.

Just signed up for Freedom Boat Club! Josh took my husband and I for a quick ride on one of their amazing pontoons (seats were so comfortable and some models had a slide attached). We were really impressed with the quality of the boats - they all looked brand new and very clean. Josh was very friendly - easy to talk to. He wasnt a pushy salesman and answered all of our (many!) questions. This full service club is exactly what weve been looking for. Were new to the area and the member social events they host sound like a great way to meet new friends. Looking forward to finally living the lake life!

We joined the boat club last Fall and have enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is friendly, the boats are almost all new, and we havent had any issues getting a boat when we need one. We previously owned two boats and year after year, it always about fixing something, the insurance, the wildlife sticker, etc...etc...etc..with the boat club, were just paying slightly above the cost of a local slip and have none of those worries. Weve already used it several times this Spring, more than we ever used out own boats, and love it. Looking forward to a great Summer!

LOVE Freedom Boat Club. The service is amazing. The guys and gals at the dock work very hard to make our experience the best possible. The next best thing to owning your own boat. This is a great way to get to know the lake and enjoy the fantastic, new and well kept boats.

I cant speak to the financials of the boat club as my family and I were guests but I can attest to the superior quality of the boat we were on, the cleanliness of the docks and surrounding areas as well as the helpfulness and knowledge of the club staff. Awesome time and experience.

Great Staff, easy access & boats are in great shape!

Great experience thus far. We have been out 5 times and the dock people make it painless. I wanted a boat but I didn’t want the headaches of owning a boat. The training was also excellent by Captain Mike. I learned a lot and look forward to taking future advanced classes with him. I also love the fact the club gives training and doesn’t just throw new members into the boating experience without guidance. The boats are clean and very new. We are making great family memories.

We have been members for one year and are very happy with our decision to join. For one that grew up with a boat and having to do the hard work associated, this is how to boat. No messing around with storage, towing, cleaning, covers, or maintenance. Only the best parts of boating here.The staff is super helpful and willing to accommodate. Online reservation portal is straight forward and easy to use.Looking forward to another season on the water.

Total quality of support

We joined Labor Day and have used a boat just about every weekend since. Most weekends we have gone out Saturday and Sunday. Between having our reservations and the wait list there has always been a boat available and we have not had a problem getting a boat for any time or day that we need. Everyone that works there is friendly and great for helping departing and docking.

We took our first stern drive from FBC / North Harbour Club. We enjoyed that part of the lake going up to Lake Norman State Park. We received total service and appreciated the resturant / Club.

Easiest way to go boating. Would like to have a few more boats at Lake Wylie location, especially one that is set up to fish. I know they will keep adding as the demand grows at Lake Wylie. If you dont want to buy/own a boat, this is a great alternative. You pay an initiation fee and then a monthly fee based on the package you desire. We have friends that are members and they find it to be a great value.Book a boat, walk up & check-in, the boat is clean and gassed up. Then enjoy your time on the lake. Return the boat to the docks and check-out. Enjoy the rest of your day. They take care of cleaning and gas when you are done. Hoorah!No boat slip to pay for, no maintenance. You always have a newer boat to drive. You can choose between a variety of boat types to ski/tube or just chill...they have the boat for you. Convenience at its best. Check them out!

The club is nice but there are some things you should know, lifetime membership is correct but if you need to suspend your membership you will have two options,one is you can pay 80.00 per month without boating privileges or pay 1000.00 for every year you sit out.and if you decide to sit out you will pay whatever the new rate is.The boats are nice and kept very clean and the dock hands are very helpful.The other thing to keep in mind is the gas,they only have one supplier in the area and it can be as much as 4.00 a gallon.i think this is a really nice club during the warm months but if you fish or like to go out say October thru February its probably going to be difficult,since they have little staff during these months.I hope this helps with your decision.

Best boat club on lake Norman

Even though I live on the lake and have my own dock, this is how I choose to go.Great value and service. Boats are usually 1-2 years old and there are 30+ to choose from. And i do NOTHING but pay for gas.

Just wanted to say thanks for accommodating us at FBC Marina Jacks yesterday - we had a nice mid-morning cruise around Sarasota Bay. Dock staff here was great! This was our first reciprocal reservation and it was great to see the process was the same here as what we experience at our home club..... Thanks again for an awesome day.
