Last year I saw how awesome this service was because of my friend who was already a member. So, this year I decided to join as well. Marc and his team are so awesome and I am excited to start getting out on the lake. Anyone who is interested in getting out on the lake, this is a great alternative to owning your own boat and I would argue even better.

Enjoyed a terrific day on the only local Boat Club WITH A SAILBOAT again today! Its a great way to enjoy the lake when the water is too cold to swim, and its pretty damned good on gas costs, too LOLMarc G. the owner of sister clubs on Lake Norman and Lake Wylie has been doing a great service to all of the members to keep the boat reservations available by instituting many wise precautions, keeping staff employed and the members not under house arrest. I am a member at the Tega Cay location. All I can say is that this is EXACTLY how boating should be done. Reservations are the easiest system out there, takes 1 min on your phone or computer and then you show up, get going and return with no maintenance, work, prep or concerns. Its a ton of fun and I love the club. The family loves being able to boat without all the headaches that can go along with it. I also love how new the boats always are, the condition and the great staff!

I have been a member of the Lake Norman Carefree Boat Club for over a year. I never boated before I discovered the club. They taught my husband and I how to boat - and now we are boaters! They have a wide selection of boats, all in great condition, and I have never had a problem getting a boat when I wanted one.The ownership is wonderful, knows everyone by name and is there for you if you have a problem.The Dock staff is also wonderful. The care they take of the boats and the members is top notch.Why own a boat? The club costs me what I would pay for a boat slip - without even considering the cost of the boat!

We joined the Club in early August of 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed several months of boating. The staff at the Lake Wylie Marina were extremely courteous and helpful. We owned a boat for many years but decided to sell it and join a boat club. We are convinced that we definitely made the right decision.

After 4 seasons this remains one of my best decisions. Its great to pick from a variety of boats walk out to the dock and leave. Not dealing with covering, gas, maintaince. We go out 2-3 times a month through the summer. Way better than renting and even if we owned a boat I doubt wed use it anymore than we do the boat club. Family owns multiple boats in MI and theyre jealous of the set up Ive got here.

After years and years of coming oh-so-close to buying a boat, we joined Carefree in the spring of 2015. Best decision we could have made.Because its so care free --and being on Lake Norman is so good for the soul-- last summer was the first in 20 years that I wished would never end!Ill be out there again this afternoon. Our summer of 2016 starts today.

Can you say HASSLE FREE! If you enjoy the water and boating and dont want the hassle of fueling, trailing, maintenance, etc that come along with owning - then Carefree Boat Club is for you. We joined back in the fall and are just now really starting to use the boats the past few weeks. I dont think it can get any easier then showing up and taking off to enjoy the day on the lake. And to top it off the customer service is top notch - from the owners to all the employees!!!

Unbelievable how easy it is to take in a day of boating and leave all the work for the wonderful Carefree team. After joining at the end of April, we have loved each experience as we work our way to become familiar with all 22 boats located on Lake Norman. Best decision we ever made and we look forward to many years ahead of enjoying this well run club and all the dock personnel that make each experience so rewarding!

Our family has been a Carefree Boat Club member now for just over a month and the experience so far has been fantastic. They taught me and my wife how to wake surf and now our kids know how and love it! Weve already taken out several of the pontoons and fiberglass boats, which are all in great condition. Also, the service at the dock when taking out and bring in the boats is great.

We joined about 1yr ago and our experience has been nothing but enjoyable and positive. The staff is very responsive and looks for opportunities to make our boating experience fun and without hassle. We just passed our FIVE year mark as members of Carefree at Lake Norman. Prior to joining, we owned a boat which we kept in a wet slip at the same marina. When we owned a boat, we felt like we spent more time cleaning or maintaining it than we did actually relaxing on the lake. Being members is SO much better than owning - really! Its a no-brainer. Jump on and jump off. No cleaning or maintenance. The staff is delightful and always accommodate our every request. The boats are well maintained and offer a nice variety. The Club is so much more cost-effective & convenient than owning. We have recommended them to many friends and clients that have also become members.

Boating has always seemed like it was just too complicated. We didnt know how to drive a boat, didnt know about the costs involved and it just seemed too complicated. But then we found the Carefree Boat Club.Their trained staff showed us everything one could need to know about driving, steering and parking the boats. They have nine boats to choose from, so there is always something great to try. Our sons LOVE tubing.To be able to just call and reserve a boat (or go online and reserve one) and arrive at he dock to a clean, fueled boat is awesome!! Then, you can use it and bring it back and be on your way.We LOVE Carefree. If you are thinking about buying a boat- think again!!! The cost and ease of a boat club far outweighs the hassle of ownership!

This concept is great and we highly recommended against the hassle that comes with ownership. We have enjoyed it so much, since becoming members last year. The staff at Carefree makes things even better.Great job guys!

Last year my family (boyfriend + 2dogs) moved to Lake Norman to enjoy the lake life. We deliberated for months whether or not we should buy a boat, or join one of the two boat clubs that are within walking distance of our home. After weighing all pros and cons, and meeting the owners of both clubs we chose to join Carefree Boat Club and could not possibly be any happier about our decision. The entire staff is knowledgeable, personable, and overall the best dock crew a boater could ask for. We have made reservations for weekdays, weekends, well in-advance, and last minute and have always had a wide variety of boats to choose from. Having owned two boats in the past we would absolutely tell anyone looking to buy a boat to seriously consider Carefree before making any purchases.

We have been members of CareFree Boat Club on Lake Norman for 3 years. We LOVE that we are not locked into one specific type of boat, like we would be if we owned our own boat.Sometimes we take out a speed boat and go tubing, other times we need more room for a lot of friends and we take out a pontoon. The pontoons with the slides are so much fun!The Lake Norman location has over 20 boats. Its easy to go online & reserve them. The staff is all so nice & do a fantastic job maintaining each boats. They are always clean, gassed up & ready to go!

I went out for the first time a week ago and could not have had a better experience. The boat training is top-notch, the boats are in tip top shape, and not having to bother with owning a boat, having a slip, dragging it up to the lake, or the maintenance upkeep is worth every single penny. This is better than a boat rental on Lake Norman, its more like a timeshare with someone else to take care of the boats before and after we are done. The staff is wonderful, accommodating, and sweet as can be. This is such a great service for the Charlotte area!

We absolutely love Carefree Boat Club! The staff is so helpful and kind. They make it a breeze to enjoy a day out on the lake with zero hassle! The staff puts so much thought and effort into membership experience. One of my favorites was when they handed each of the mothers a rose as they got off the boat on Mothers Day. Boating without owning is the way to do it!!

It has been a great first month as new members of the Carefree boat Club!As soon as we took our first boat out we knew we had made the right decision.Living in Lake Norman and being able to take out boats any time you want is just a luxury we love taking advantage of and joining this club allowed us to do just that! Minus all the hassle.Everyone on the dock has been nothing but helpful to us rookies. We are looking forward to the rest of this summer and more to come :)

My friends that have boats say that Im not playing fair, they hook-up, launch, fuel, and clean their boat and i just schedule, show-up and GO! Carefree LKN/LKW are game-changing with the quality and service they provide. And , always Friendly helpful staff. Hats-off to Sara, she is phenomenal managing the daily ops.

Though I am a boat owner, my slip is alongside the Carefree Boat Club dock with the many great fleets they have to offer. I have been there close to 3 years. I can not begin to describe the family oriented, friendly, helpful & most courteous team members that compile the carefree crew. Paul & his team are to be commended! Under no obligation to me, they have been there for many of my boating needs. From any minor to major issues Ive had over the course of my 3 years there, they have never hesitated to lend a helping hand to assist my needs, whether popping out a dent, assisting with battery changes, cable changes, fuse changes, or just researching & giving advise as to what steps I should take to resolve any problems I had. I have never walked down the dock without a friendly smile and a warm hello or a friendly conversation, even if just shooting the breeze. Should I ever decide to sell my boat, the friendliness, trust & sincerity theyve demonstrated make it a no brainier to become member of their boat club. There would be no other choice for me. This boat club is great! The dock staff is super helpful and caring. The boats are great quality and theres a great selection. The price makes this a great value and better then owning a boat for us.

Nothing but positive feedback for Carefree Boat Club! The staff is friendly and helpful with getting you in and out of the dock. The boats are in great shape but when they do inevitably break down, there is usually spare one to salvage your day on the lake. Membership in the club has sent my summer into overdrive!

Going on our 3rd year with CFBC Lake Norman and Lake Wylie. It has been a great experience and we have never had a problem getting a boat. We have also used the club at other locations in NJ and GA. Well worth it compared to owning/maintaining/storing!

Great club with nice variety of boats including a sail boat. Staff is amazing ..always willing to give lessons and do whatever it takes to make your experience a good.

I one of the original members of the care free boat club lake norman and I have enjoyed the experience. I have used international reservations in Miami. D.C., Maryland and Atlanta. The boat staff here is great and so are the oweners Marc and Ona. I love being a member and thanks for letting me be a part of the club!!
