There are literally hundreds of Golf Courses in Myrtle Beach, so you can avoid this one at all costs. That statement is no reflection on the staff, they were incredible. Ive played here about 6 times and loved every minute of those times. That makes me believe its under new ownership or management. Today it took 5 hours to play a round of golf as a twosome thats simply unacceptable. It played like a pubic course that charges you. Stay away at all costs so many better places to spend your money.

4.5* I loved this layout.Greens had been aerated a few weeks ago and I thought they would have recoved more. Even though they were a bit sandy, they greens putted pretty true. Cut through wooded areas and accented by quite a few water hazards and natural waste areas. Ample landing areas, but can be punishing if you hit the water or woods.Course was in great shape over all. I would 100% return again.

Wild Wing Avocet is one of my favorite golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area. Its a fun and challenging layout, is always in excellent condition, the greens are challenging, and they never double tee.

Loved every moment. Food in The Pub was great. The waitress and chef were pleasant and courteous. Had a great time. P.s. Homes are gorgeous also.

A surprisingly good layout/design. Yet another Myrtle Beach reward & punish course. Plenty of shot making opportunities provided by the course. Miss the fairway and get punished by 3-4 inch 1st cut. Despite the long drive from green to tee, it is an excellent course! The ONLY negative is the abundance of killer mosquitoes. The bites feature prominently on my face an body 20 hours later!In summary: An excellent course! Bathe in mozzy repellant before playing there. I will be playing there plenty more times.

The greens were not good today. The rough was tough but my disappointment started before I even gotten out of my car. I was getting ready to turn into the parking lot and one of the maintenance men was on like a utility vehicle waiting to pull go out. When I made my right turn into the parking lot he yell at me why the F___ didn’t I use my Signal. I’m thinking what a first impression of this course. It was early so not Manager was on duty but what I told the employee in the pro shop he said we had some issues with this guy. Well this guy just cost you some money because I’m a local and a Primetime member and my foresome want be coming back here no time soon. If he worked for me he would be looking for another job.

Course was decent but nothing to write home about. No really memorable holes other than 14. Of the 4 courses we played this one was in the worst condition, but still very enjoyable.

Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! We had my daughter’s baby shower there on Saturday, January 4th. We got there at 9 am and the doors were locked. When the door was answered we were told that they were not expecting us until Monday ( who has a baby shower on a Monday from 1-4?). The table linens were soiled and there were no napkins on the tables either as promised. They did NOT vacuum the room. The room divider that was suppose to close off the other room did not work. We had to stare at piles of chairs for 3 hours. We were provided 1 garbage can and after asking for another several times it was never brought. So we had to try and cram everything into 1 can as we cleaned up!! So after calling yesterday and speaking with Phil, I was told that unfortunately who ever told us this that and the other should not have. The divider has not worked for a while. He had no idea why dirty linens were on the table nor did he not understand why they didn’t vacuum. He also didn’t know why we were told we weren’t expected until Monday!!! For someone who is the manager of this facility didn’t know much of anything. I just called him back today because he never got back to me as promised and I was told that the higher ups didn’t see anything wrong with what we went through so we are screwed!!! SCREW THEM. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS VENUE!!!!! They have disputed my first review. I will keep posting everyday.

Myrtle Beach hidden gem. True Southern Hospitality. Great course, great conditions.

This is the best lay out in Myrtle Beach bar none. Lots of variety. A couple reachable par 5s, a reachable par 4, a couple long challenging par4s, along with average length par4s, all 4 par 3s are strong. You will use every club in your bag. The green complexes are challenging and extremely well kept. The greens receive very well, even a low 5 iron will not run out forever. The greens are also fast but very fair. I believe there are one of the best kept greens in the area. It may not have the ocean or marsh lands, but it’s a beautiful course to look at. They also just added a new set of very fair ladies tees that make this course the most lady friendly course in the entire area. This course will reward you for good shots and punish you for bad ones. You get what you deserve here, no tricked up holes. And the one feature that puts this place over every other course is NO SPLIT TEES and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and truly care that your experience is top notch. This is a must play track every time you come down here.

Some challenging holes intermingled with holes that give you a good chance of birdies. Good course for the average golfer.

My wife and I play here this past weekend and we had a great time. We finished our round in under 4 hrs. The course has a nice layout with some interesting hole that require some thought has to how to approach these greens. Greens rolled nice and my wife especially like the new ladies tees. It made the course much more playable for her. The staff here was great we arrived early, they had a window to let us go and we played without any waiting. We will be back.

I volunteer at Conway Hospital and every year we have our recognition luncheon there. The wait staff are friendly, fast and courteous. I would definitely recommend it. The food is well prepared and comes out hot.

The new set of tees makes it much easier to use the right set for each person in our group. The course was above average and the staff was friendly. Not having any lunch package was the biggest issue.

This course exceeded my expectations. The fairways were a little wet, but the greens were in excellent condition. The Greens had a good bit of slope to them and were pretty smooth. This course is not on the True Blue/Caledonia five star list but I would definitely come and play here again.

We recently had my baby shower here. We booked the room in advance and were promised tables, chairs, and clean linens for the tables they have already in the room. Trash cans and they would clean up. Nothing more. Mind you- clean up wasnt much....We had the room for 3 hours and could set up the morning of before our event at 1pm. Not only was there confusion on which room we booked (one tried saying our TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS was for the bar area. Are you kidding me) but the room had a divider we were told could go up to avoid seeing the other half of this giant space. The other half had chairs and tables all over and a set up of tables + chairs with opposing colors of what we were doing. Wouldnt be a big deal had the divider not been BROKEN!!!!!! They decided to tell us while we were setting up THAT DAY that it was broken and couldnt be used so my fiancé had to move and assemble tables and chairs to make it look even a quarter way decent considering the tables and chairs everywhere and what looks like would be another event in the same room as ours. With blue cloth over the white linens to hide how DIRTY they are. Not only did we have to deal with that and staff who were never once on the same page, the floors (especially near the kitchen walkway area that we were not allowed to use) was dirty with crumbs and wrappers everywhere. Our guests walked this space and we needed it as we only had half the area. The white linens they provided were absolutely disgusting and stained and sloppily thrown on the tables for us to fix along with the placement of the tables and chairs that were thrown where they were, tight and messy. Had we had another location on hand and the audacity to tell 30+ guests to go somewhere else that day- we would have. It was absolutely PATHETIC. My mom, the hostess, submitted a google review and they DISPUTED IT SO PEOPLE CANNOT SEE WHAT A JOKE THEY ARE! She called again to find out if anything was being done since the last they spoke and we were told that the team at wild wing feels the money we spent for what they gave us is justified and they are offering absolutely no form of compensation for our time there which was displeasing to say the least: dirty, confusion from staff, maintenance workers walking in and out of our guests and at the main entrance parked in bag drop, a random man walking throughout our room, us cleaning up things they left out on counter top, picking up crumbs and papers, wiping down the wooded area, changing table cloths, moving furniture, a lady interrupting while doing gifts to tell us what time it was and someone else would be coming in, ONE TRASH CAN SO TRASH WAS ON THE GROUND IN FRONT OF GUESTS, etc. We were the only people at this place that day besides the workers. Wild wing making up for their complete lack of professionalism and terror on my big day is no loss of theirs- it would have saved them more in the long run versus what is about to happen. We ultimately lost because of you, so thanks WWP. Nice to see how you operate so we can warn many others before booking you for events. Nothing but an expensive, gut wrenching, and rude headache. We literally paid for filth, hassle and headache.Update: failed to mention when the lady let us use their microwave, their utensils and cooking spatulas that were hanging were FILTHY with dried up food on them. Wouldn’t eat a piece of food from here if you paid me to. I’ve worked at some of the most prestigious country clubs in Georgia + Las Vegas and I wanted to puke looking at the kitchen at wild wing.

Played Avocet golf course, a little wet but in great condition. Enjoyed the course. Gentlemen at the course,at the pro shop, and at the bar were very considerate. Definitely would play golf there again.

Fun layout with great lush fairways. Greens are good but fairly grainy. Wild Wing is a hidden gem that doesn’t get the love it deserves in the Myrtle Beach golf scene.

Course was in excellent condition. Well marshalled. Super pro staff with polite staff. Food service cart on course was solid as you do not come back to the clubhouse at the turn. Will definitely go back again.

Coarse was a little wet but played very well. I will come back whenever I get the chance. 9 out of 12 golfers in our group agree. pace was great, greens were outstanding

Awesome course for the price in Myrtle Beach

What an enjoyable round! Players of all skill levels will find that Avocet will challenge and delight them. The course is anything but boring with many risk/reward style holes and a spacious layout that incorporates nature instead of housing developments. So many other courses at Myrtle Beach surround you with houses and condos while you golf, but not Wild Wing Avocet.The greens were in great shape and played true and challenging. Multiple tee box options, so choose wisely. Many multi tiered and undulating greens will test your ability to read the contours. Pace of play was just right and we finished our round in just under four hours.For comparison sake, I also played Kings North this week and found Avocet to be both a more challenging and enjoyable round. I probably wont play Kings North again, but will definitely be back to Wild Wing Avocet!

Very nice course. Drained well after the inch of rain we received. True greens. Some tight holes but also some generously wide fairways. Guys in the pro shop and bag drop were very accommodating. Well work the fairly inexpensive greens fees.

Nice course, in good shape when I played in August. Playing in the afternoon in the heat provided an uncrowded venue at a good rate. I wouldnt want to pay $80+, but a great deal at $45. Scenery is good, callenging enough for good player, but not daunting for a hacker.

Very good course. I was expecting a course that would require a lot of creative shots (their website says that this course allows you to discover creative golf again). The layout was nice, but some holes were boring or very ehh. The greens were in great shape and the course is very fair for all play types.

Great Layout for sure. We played this Saturday and the round was almost 6 hours long. No beverage cart on the course at all. Would have been nice to stop after 9 and load up on beverages and take a pit stop, but you end 9 and start 10 with no clubhouse in sight. Would recommend playing for sure, but a couple simple things would make the course more attractive to play.

My favorite of the courses I played last week. This course was open enough for an avg player to miss hit a few shots. It is a long course, so it really tests your long irons. Not crowded and a rather easy and quick round.

Best course (other than Oakmont) I have ever played. Alot of room for tee shots fairways were plush and very green. Rough was fair but thick as expected. Greens were firm but held Iron approach shots and in excellent condition. I have played many courses in myrtle and this on was by far the best experience I have had. It was beautiful...

I always enjoy playing Wild Wing Avocet. Good layout, good conditions, tough rough and smooth, quick greens. Play the white tees and it is a good test for me, a 14 hdcp.
