Awesome. Took my mother in law there for her 65birthday with 4 kids and 5 adults. We had a blast our room time was an hour we did it in 59 minutes the kids did great. I highly recommend this place for a group or family outing.

My family and I went for my 30th birthday and we had such a blast!! The experience exceeded all of our expectations!! We will definitely recommend That Escape Place to everyone. My two year old came along with us and she had fun watching all of us go crazy looking for clues. She lasted the entire time :).The room we did was Raiders of the lost Art.We cant wait to try out another room soon! The staff was amazing! Thank you so much for the fun memories!

Our family had a great time solving the mystery and working together to find the painting. It was exciting and I was surprised at how much our kids were able to contribute (except for the potty training 2yr old. LOL!). I can’t wait to go back and do a different room!

We love escape rooms but not all are created equal. We have done all 3 of their rooms and they are awesome! Very well thought out, no missing steps or huge jumps to the next puzzle. And we love the variety in the clues and puzzles to solve. Our kids love it too!

Spent an hour here with friends doing the mafia room. This was our first escape room and it was fun. We went in with a team of four and everyone participated and the staff offered hints at appropriate times. Everytime you completed a step you get that little surprise as the next clue is revealed. If highly recommend.

Very much family oriented! I called last minute on 6/15/18 to give my (expecting couple) son and his wife a experience for his B-DAY/ gender reveal. Zack was extremely accommodating over the phone. He managed to pull it off within a hour notice.With his help my son found out hes having a little princess The gratitude from their experience was priceless! We definitely will be back as a family as my children suggested that itll be a excellent bonding exercise. Thanks again Zack for making my sons b-day grand!

Absolutely fantastic experience!! I love that they are family owned and operated, and how apparent it is that they are passionate about what they do. We went for my husbands birthday, and had a group of 8, ages ranging from 9-58. Every single one of us LOVED it. 2 people in our group had been to several escape rooms, and they both said that this one was far better than any of the ones they had been to. Really, you cant wrong, they are amazing.

This was my 3rd visit to an escape room and by far the best! Well thought out, incorporated technology and old school hardware, and we were able to include our kids (8 and 11). We cant wait to go again!

My girlfriends and I had the best time at That Escape Place for my birthday! The entire experience was fun and comfortable. Josh did an awesome job at making us feel welcome and making sure we had all the information to prep us for a thrilling 1 hr of cracking clues and ultimately succeeding in our mission. Our family had so much fun! Our boys (12 and 13) participated and contributed to us solving the puzzles. It is a great family friendly atmosphere. This is a great experience for those that are competitive and really like to win! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun time with family.

This was an absolute blast!!! Our group of 8 did the raiders of the lost art escape room and as all first timers it was perfect! There were definitely some challenging aspects but were also plenty of puzzles that would be easy enough for younger players! Zach the escape guide was extremely professional and made sure our experience was everything we wanted it to be.

It was so much fun. We had a great family night. It was really well put together and challenging, yet entertaining. We will definitely come back. Our gamemaster was so professional and pleasant. I forgot his name, but he was really nice.

Id been through two escape rooms previously and this was, by far, the best experience to-date. So much fun. Ive been to one where they limit you to three hints. This one was what I would call gentle nudging. If you get on the wrong track, they try to nudge you back in the right direction. Also, being able to see the minutes countdown on a screen helps you pace yourself. Truly a great time!

What a FANTASTIC experience!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the coolest thing ever! The family that owns That Escape Place really added to the overall exceptional experience. My husband and I were newbies to the whole Escape Room experience and they took the extra time to give us tips to make the adventure even more enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that likes solving mysteries/puzzles! We cant wait to return when the other escape rooms are complete!!

This is only my second time going to an escape room, but this one was fantastic!! Dont want to ruin it for everyone, but Raiders of the Lost Art was a must do. Totally Impressed. Cant wait to go to the other rooms.

We have only been to one room but it was very impressive! We felt like we were being challenged in more ways than most other escape rooms. (We have been to many escape rooms) Nobody was standing around not knowing what to do. There were many puzzles to solve that were tricky enough to be fun but not hard enough to be frustrating. I would definitely recommend and we will be back for the other rooms. (we did grandmas hidden treasure)

First they let us reschedule no problem because our babysitter was sick. Then they rebooked us last minute. When we got there they were super friendly and explained everything very well. My husband and I had so much fun. We managed to escape just the two of us, it would have been even better with a group!

LOVED it so much, we did both rooms!!! Friendly and fun owners! Creative, awesome clues, challenging, engaging, very interactive surprises and clues! Fun and exciting for all ages! We had two 8 year olds that loved both escape rooms: Raiders of the lost Art (a little more fun for kids) & Grandmas Hidden Treasures! Unique concept: they have two similar rooms to race another team to solve the clues! Hope they will have a third room to try soon! Very exciting and FUN!!!!! Great family fun!!!

We had a great time at That Escape Place today. Family friendly and a great first escape room experience for our company here visiting. I highly recommend taking time to master the practice puzzles in the waiting room.

We have been to a few escape rooms in Houston and this beats all of them hands down! This place is so awesome! The owner was very helpful and nice. The escape room was so much fun and the clues were great. We cant wait to try the new room when it opens!

Amazing family time! Everyone was very nice and helpful and were able to accommodate by allowing us to bring an additional family member (obviously for an extra charge)...but they allowed us to have 9 people instead of their maximum of 8. Overall a great a place!

Perfect experience with the kids (age 12)! We did the Raiders of the Lost Art and it was fantastic! Challenging, but super fun! Accept the clues, youll need them! We all are dying to get back to do the Grandmas Treasure room. The kids had done other companies escape rooms, but agreed this was the best one theyd ever done. Highly recommend!

This was probably the most fun group activity I have been a part of in a very long time. It was much more fun than the Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. Friendly and welcoming staff, and a comfy waiting room (even though I wasnt in it for long). This is truly a MUST. Keep it up!

My family and I went there a couple of nights ago. I cant tell you enough how friendly the staff was. We have a special needs child who is easily frightened so the owner actually explained to me about a couple of potential jump scare moments so I could intercept them during the escape process but he didnt spoil the excitement for me. It is a family run business and the escape room we used was very family friendly. The puzzles were challenging but not too complicated and we manged to finish with 12 seconds left on the clock. It all ran at a nice pace with some support. We came away wanting to another one.

When my adult daughter suggested an outing to That Escape Place, I relented with trepidation. Without prior experience with this type of venue, just the images conjured by the name of the place evoked spooky and unpleasant images for me. However, following our experience I will consistently recommend it as a preferred family outing! The dialogue we expended to detect the shrewd but amusing clues in Raiders of the Lost Art Private Room trumped the use of all distractions to family conversation our children often choose, including smart phones. The fresh rapport we forged through excitedly exposing the storyline cleverly veiled beneath our noses in this entertainment venue created a memory we will forever treasure!Beginning with the waiting room of comfy couches, our host put me at ease with refreshments: a fridge filled with water bottles and a Keurig station stocked with supplies. He left us for a few minutes while he took photos for a previous group, complete with their choice of fun signs like “I’m a genius”, “We escaped on my birthday”, and “We did it!”. Before exiting, he left our group with intriguing directions to enjoy the candy in the locked boxes on the coffee table as a warm-up for our advanced tasks in the escape room. Mesmerized, the appeal of cracking the candy “safes” held the attention of both adult daughters and teenaged daughter till the treasure inside appeared.Prior to entering our assigned room, our host chronicled a historic unsolved crime that would find resolution if we applied our “mental brawn” and then…we launched. The expertly-detailed space revealed each family member’s unique visual, auditory, and kinesthetic skillset as we combed for clues under the watchful eye of a hidden camera that offered opportune hints on the display screen when we demonstrated occasional exasperation. Among the five of us, we needed every minute on the displayed clock to infiltrate the area, arrange our clues in order, gain our tools, and then apply our tools to solve the historic crime. And…we did it!Each family member left this event recounting their favorite part of the mission. Appropriately, I ascertained that a close-knit family, who owns the skinny on expert relationship skills, crafted this family oasis of entertainment. Good, clean family fun replaced my original spooky and unpleasant imagery when thinking of this venue. It will now reside at the top of OUR fav family outings!
