We were lucky enough to get a personal tour with a direct descendent of the Barrett family. The history of this place is absolutely amazing and the property is beyond beautiful.

Nice big farm. The kids will love it. You often see wildlife roaming the fields. When I stopped there today, there were a few deer in the field. They also have a good sized farm stand for anyone that prefers to buy fresh farm-foods.

We were fortunate last Sunday to be able to attend an open house at the Col. James Barrett Farm on Sunday, August 25, visiting from Rumney, NH. What a treat to see such an important landmark from the beginning of the Revolution! As an extra bonus, we very much appreciated the individual attention from both Jim Cunningham, Project Director, and Jim Hollister, Historian. Their enthusiasm for both the history of the region as well as the building renovation project was highly contagious. We learned a lot! We are so fortunate that this fascinating place has been preserved. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for a job well done!

This is an important location for national history. The renovation is bringing it back to its historic past.
