Im not a big fan of most outdoor venues. We go to a lot of shows and Id rather see a band at almost any other indoor venue. If I absolutely had to go see a show outdoors it would be at the Greek in Berkeley. Concord is however WAY better than the Shoreline. Better weather, better parking, better seating and WAY more convenient - especially since I live in Walnut Creek. We saw Sammy Hagar there last night. It was pretty awesome. Such a long list of really great songs. Ive seen him more than a few times and hes such a great performer. Theres no such thing as a bad Sammy show! It didnt hurt being in the second row. Awesome!

Arrive 1- 2 hours before your show. Google will grid lock you into horrible traffic. Food stands need more assistance when a large performance is showing. Will wait over 30 min in food line if you dont arrive early or get food when lines are short and miss some of the artist performing. Lawn area is.nice and comfy. You cant see the artist performing close up but you can see a body. Try to buy better tickets. Plenty of restroom space for all even wheelchair accessible. Lots of booths for beer wine shots memorabilia being sold. Plenty of seating all through the venue including wheelchair seating. There is shuttles and carts that can take you from your car up to the main gate.

A venue with a long history and a comfortable place to see top name entertainment.I cant recall the last time I saw a concert here if at all. So here is my take. Just to give you my perspective, I spent many years in live performance situations as a professional. I am not a performer. I know when things are good and not good.I thought the show itself was pretty good but suffered some in the area of sound and food production.Visually the show was good except for the lack of curtains to hide the ever present road boxes stage left. I did not mind the monitor mixing board, that is part of the show. But really, time to designate a place for road boxes out of sight. This is production 101.As for the mix, both the opening act and the headliner solo mics were EQd so bad, it sounded like mush. I could not here lyrics above the band and the between song patter was unclear! Big improvement needed here.I save the food service and quality for last. The beer was good.I tried a hotdog and had to wait 10 minutes to get it. This was during the opening act and literally no one in line yet for the change-over rush. There is a lot of room for improvement here. Or maybe it was a bad night for the production company.

This is an outstanding venue to see a concert or two at. The acoustics are outstanding and gives you a feeling of intimacy with the performance. The only downside is that its a pain to get to and the parking lot was full and lots of cars still needing to park. We parked on a side street and walked about a mile to the parking lot. Then another considerable distance to the venue gates.

Be prepared to know which entrance to walk up after you park, they have a AAA Fast Lane entrance that allows for quicker entry through the gates, you just need to show your AAA Auto Insurance card. Also, do not stray from the line when you are in the parking lot and they are herding you to a specific area, they will make you get back in line. While inside the venue, do not get discouraged if you see a line at the ladies restroom, it moves really fast! This venue is very efficient! The seating is amphitheater seating and the sound quality is always good here.

Great venue, just like the shoreline ampitheatre but more intimate. Parking is so easy and convenient and the lines to get into the venue arent even long. The walk from the parking area to the venue isnt far at all, like some other reviewers have said. Four stars only because drinks and food inside is so expensive, and they cant even provide straws for the lemonade. What the hell? Eight dollars for a freaking lemonade which they provide a lid for, but no damn straw. I went there in August and in September and both times, same thing. Other than that, awesome venue! I wish more artists played there, and if I lived closer Id be there as often as I could. Love the concord pavilion! I was in the pit both times, which I highly recommend because you are literally an arms reach away from the stage and the artists. Take a look at the awesome pic I shot of marilyn manson!

One of the better pavilion venues that Ive been to! I sat in the upper level seating, which mainly was in the shade. Great venue for music... even the lawn seating had a good view. The foot traffic pattern behind the lawn seating, however, became congested due to the bathroom lines mixed with the lines to concessions. There must be a better way to route lines to the restrooms...

I had an amazing time. But whenever I go I must get a seat and not sit on the lawn. The great benefit is you can bring your own food and they also have some amazing options. Of course its a venue so the prices tend to be a couple of dollars more than you would normally spend but a lot of it is definitely worth it. It was a warm day but it was alright for me because I have some in the shade. A bit of criticism is the parking it wasnt very organized and I was with someone that was handicapped so they had a spark on top of the hill instead of the flat surface near the entrance which didnt make any sense to me.

I dont give many 5 stars, read on. Concord Pavillion is a nice venue but of coarse it has the same problems other ampatheatres in the north state have: traffic jams getting in, traffic jams getting out, and food and alcohol that cost more than repairing your car. BUT... the great thing about Concord is, THEY LET YOU BRING IN YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS! There are some stipulations (see their website), but not many places do that anymore. Thats fantastic for a family on a budget that wants to enjoy a show once in a while. And if youre coming from Sacramento use I-5 and go through Isleton and Antioch. SOOO much quicker and less stressful than I-80/680, and a pretty ride to boot.

Nice place for concerts. I really liked the lay out, the facilities, parking, close to the freeway. The price if beer/drinks is ridiculous. Way high! Prices of alcohol not comparable to other venues. Just went to see a show here and expected that like everywhere else in the Bay Area I was going to need at least $20 for parking on top of the concert ticket cost. Nope! Free parking! Gorgeous place with a view of the surrounding mountains. Went there to see the Breaking Benjamin concert a couple days ago, and the sound was of pretty good quality. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that despite the No Smoking signs everywhere, many people within the area were smoking, which is a problem when you have an Asmatic mother. I asked security to help, and they did, but given the number of people smoking, they could only do so much. Better enforcement of the no smoking rule in the future would bump this rating up to five stars.

Went through the AAA fast track line, Ended up waiting in line for an hour in 98 degree weather while general admission was moving faster than what we were. People were having heat strokes the live nation staff did not care didnt want to call EMS for people who were passing out and continued to take their sweet precious time checking in bags when people are literally fainting in line. My overall experience of the concert was great but live nation needs to do a better job of hiring their staff. customer service is everything and they failed to provide exceptional service.

Had a fantastic time with the wifey at the comedy get down! Dont remember if Ive ever been here as a kid but it seemed familiar. The grass seating was close enough to the stage 2 have a good view and still have the freedom to stretch out and relax. There is one thing I can definitely recommend improving upon is the big screens on either side of the stage. They seem outdated and quality of picture is lacking but it was not bad enough to warrant less Stars.

I think it is important that people know this is an outside venue. I have been here many times and do believe, in general, that this is a hidden gem. Parking is free and they do the traffic management wonderfully here. You can get out in ten minutes usually. The bathrooms are clean and they have many on either side. The food and drink stations are plenty. It is generally shaded and a nice breezy. I would recommend an evening concert here anytime!I went to my first day concert and I was NOT impressed. It was 95 degrees and the line took one and a half hours to get in with no shade, no water, no seating for disabled. It was a nightmare and people were not well. There were only 2 ppl checking tickets and in security for the FAST AAA line. They need to plant trees or put in a shade cover. Put up solar panels as cover and generate your own power for the lights in the parking lot! Im not sure I would ever go back for a day concert here in the summer. Signage should be better, it was hard to tell what line to go to. They should have water vendors outside the gates as well. The summers are only going to get hotter so they need to figure it out ASAP!
