Great venue, wonderful staff of volunteers, comfortable seats, and they even have oversized seats for large people so they dont have to squish into a regular seat and encroach on their neighbors space. Good view of the stage from almost everywhere. Good selection of snacks that are reasonably priced. This was Recycled Percussion from the top center balcony.

Best little theater around!! There isn’t a bad seat in the whole place and music sounds incredible!! Parking can be difficult but if you have a handicap tag you can usually find a spot across the street in the parking garage and there is an elevator even though it’s hidden - so just ask for help. I posted pictures from 3 different events - 2 School Concerts and 1 of the Comedian Bob Marley - I have also seen several plays and concerts there which were all fantastic!

Im going to the capital center for many different reasons. As an entertainment enthusiast Ive seen concerts, humorous, comedians, and many other performances. Im also an elementary school educator, so we go through and see the different performances as a part of the school series each year. Every time we go, the staff is very helpful, the kids enjoy the shows much like I do when I go with family or friends for a night out in Concord. Its nice to have a venue in Concord that is high quality and where the prices for a variety of shows arent cost prohibitive. Love this venue and cant wait to see two shows upcoming at the new Pavilion Stage in the old theatre building!

Is there any such thing as a journeyman theatre? Dont get me wrong, the staff were great and there were lots of helpful volunteers, but the lobby was bare and bereft of places to sit: not so good when you have disabled people in your party. The bar was functional, but not appealing and the refreshment stand would not have been out of place in a school cafeteria. The theatre is a place of escape, but the stage is not set (so to speak) by the lobby.Full marks for clearing the theatre quickly at the end: doors opened to the street that you never knew were there!

If you love live music or performances, and enjoy the classic music halls that have been preserved, then you will love the Capital Center for the Arts. And guess what, if you are not necessarily a fan, just go anyway. Let yourself experience something fantastic. It doesnt matter if its a show, movie or music. If you have kids locked to tablets, find a performance and get them to CCA.The staff are friendly and informative. There are drinks and food. Even bathrooms up at the balcony level so you dont have to run two levels down to go!Oh and Im sorry, I forgot to mention the Christmas Jazz show that we watched. Now that was just great fun. Music, story telling and sing along (I cant carry a tune so just smiled). It would be great if you could join as a supporting member. Only $50 starting level. But at least support what CCA offers us all and get to a show or two!

This place is awful!! When I purchased my tickets they charged me FIVE times so instead of $150 coming out of my account $750 was charged. Now the show I was attending was cancelled and I’ve been told that they refunded my tickets but my bank has not seen a credit and despite multiple phone calls (promised a return call each time but haven’t received one yet) no one can provide me with proof of a return. I just want my money back and will for sure will not be attending another show at this venue.

Been here dozens of times for concerts, great historical theater. Before shows, there are bar drinks, sometimes pizza slices, always candy and munchies, and they sell tons of bottled water. Shows start strictly on time here, small town residential Main St., so you start & end on time. Being a smaller venue, every seat is great. The only thing wrong with the Capitol is that you cant dance, at your seat or along the edge of the walls...theyll tell to sit down. Keep that in mind, if you like to rock out. Great venue, though!

The process in ordering tickets is frustrating. I ordered floor tix but got upper balcony. Seats need cushioning we were lower than the row in front ...the entire row had to stand ...too low couldn’t see stage.side screens weren’t utilized....we’d never go again ..u can see Bob Marley w better accommodation anywhere else. Don’t waist your $ or be careful when ordering.

I have attended concerts, comedy, workshops and more at the Capitol Center and it continues to impress. The facilities maintain an authentic, classic feel, while still offering a comfortable modern experience. Im a big fan and make sure to stay up to date on the calendar of events. The pricing also is reasonable and affordable for almost any act. Make sure to check this one out.

We left at intermission. CELTIC WOMEN was great, but balcony seating [ at 69.00 per seat] was very hot, seats were tiny and your knees were touching the back of the front seat. I truly was worried about whether I could get out if there was a fire. 4 flights of stairs and we were told no elevator.[of course no elevator use with fire situation] I will continue at the Palace in Manchester.

We visit the CCFA from time to time to see performances of interest and had a great time last night seeing and hearing Lyle Lovett and His Big Band. Terrific show, packed house and loads of energy. This house, though smaller than some, offers well organized ticket sales, plenty of volunteers as ushers and helpers, as well as a bar and plenty of refreshments. A totally no stress evening in a non stadium setting for an intimate and sublime performance.

My son and I were just at FINDING NEVERLAND. Everything was fine in the theatre, except...the lack of cool air. It was way, way too warm, and as the theatre filled with people, it became uncomfortably hot...but still no air. My son has a medical condition that makes it hard for his body to regulate its temperature...he was miserable and left at intermission. I stayed and did feel some cool air on and off during Act II, but it was disappointing to feel so uncomfortable during the show.

Great place with one issue. If you buy seats in the first 20-30 rows be prepared for people leaving their seats and standing in front of you blocking the stage and blocking your views. The theatre never knows how to deal with this even though it happens often. People in the first 20-30 rows get upset because they cant see the stage. If you want to sit and see the act, buy a seat way in the back or on the balcony and enjoy your show.

We love attending events at the capital center and are current members here. We value their contribution to the arts in our Capital city . We are always scanning their event calendar for shows. Its always a great night out with dinner and a show in downtown when we find a event to attend. Seats and AC are a little bit on the “nostalgic” side. Hopefully we’ll see a bit of an upgrade here in the upcoming years.

I believe the seating is on the ground floor, though there may be some in the opera seating area. I am not sure as to prices for those, as they were sold out the night I went. The Capital Center is terrific and always manages events well...and the Say Anything screening with John Cusack was fantastic. BUT...the moderator nearly killed the show. She talked a lot about herself, asked awkward questions and could NOT stop playing with her own hair. Each time the audience would start to get into the show, she would ask an odd question or try to make it political, and the audience would go silent. John Cusack AMAZING! Moderator...terrible.
