Birthday weekend with the family. Awesome experience. We enjoyed it very much!!

Take time to go in the early afternoon on a weekday, when nobody else is there. You and your friends will have the place to yourselves so you wont have to worry about caution flags for crashes. Thats really the key to improving your lap times - having uninterrupted racing.What K1 REALLY needs to do is add cameras to the ceiling and give drivers the chance to study the line they ARE driving compared to the optimal racing line. That overhead view would really help new drivers.

Fantastic track. Great opportunity for kids or adults. There is even a couple of nice rooms for private gift opening or cake. Plan on scheduling your party or arriving with plenty of time to wait on a weekend. Today was a bit busy and had a lengthy wait. Probably due to the cold/rainy weather, as this is a great indoor activity. We went as a group as adults and had a blast. Will bring the teenagers out here next time.

Super fun, 2 to 3 hours wait on Sat night for adults, waited an hour or so on the jr races. Our 7 yr old loved it!

We needed a nice get away with kids, so we headed to charlotte. The experience was nice for a second time around. However, it would have been much appreciated to receive a refund on our unused track run. The young lady at the counter could have at least checked and verified with the manager as well instead of insisting we could only transfer the prepaid funds to a later track run. Being that we live 3 hours away, im not sure when well get back. So for whomever reads this be sure you can drive and nothing comes up, because you wont get your money back, theyll just keep it and hold it for a later run.In addition to my previous review: I have been in contact with someone from either the company or charlotte facility. Im not quite sure who, the email is NEVER signed or addressed. Not professional. A refund was to be issued over 2 weeks ago and still have yet to receive or hear a word. Terrible customer service at this point. COMMUNICATION and Quick Response, I can honestly say at this point not pleased, will not be referring any friends or family. Sorry. Great track and good karts. Kept in good condition. My only beef with this place is some of the customers who come here. I enjoy racing and improving on my time and a solid 75% of the crowd dont know how to drive karts or in a competitive nature thus impeding the progress of serious racers and possibly endangering the saftey of others. Had to leave after massive crowds showed up because it turned into bumper cars mostly.Again, this is a great track, with greats karts, and great staff! Just the other customers that get in the way.

They have excellent staff and the food was really good! The portion sizes were reasonable too! I hope to visit again in the future.

It is always a good time fun. Staff is friendly and helpful. Its clean and safe. The track is laid out nicely with room to race. The electric powered carts are super quick on acceleration, faster and cleaner. Less noise and no stinking exhaust to deal with provides a much better experience than the gas powered cart tracks by far. Pretty decent value. It would be nice to get a few more laps per race. But i get that it takes profit margins to provide the experience you get @ K1. You get a good amount of racing for a pretty decent value.

Our son had a great time. There was one issue. There was another driver that always got in the first car and got at least a half of the track head start from the others. When I asked about that, I was told that this driver was a regular and they were pushing her along. That is fine but someone with her would get the score sheet and yell that this driver had won... everytime! It was discouraging and not fun for the other children. I would like to see if this driver could win being put in the back of the line without a head start.

We went for my husbands birthday. He had a blast. Super friendly staff, clean facility, fast karts. All around great experience.

We had a really fun time at K1 Speed!! The carts were fast and the track was well laid out! I will definitely be going back.

Facility is super clean and organized. The staff was exceptional! The boys had a blast, ages 10 & 12. Well worth the 2 hour drive so the kids could drive their own kart. The staff split the jr racers separate from adult so they were not on track together. Totally pleased with experience and these smiles show how great of a time the kids had!

Fun birthday party location. Was more quite than the gas powered carts. Pretty fast and for safety they can slow the carts, which is great when kids are driving.

If I could give negative 4 stars I would.Staff was very rude . My cart was stopped 4 times , there was no power to move . I was just stuck sitting in the middle of the track waiting to get slammed into by the other carts. When my cart was working it would be slowed down and sped-back up by the track attendant . This isn’t racing it’s completely controlled by whatever the track supervisor wants to do . Very frustrating for anyone who likes competition. I could not recommend anyone going there horrible experience .

Not something I can afford to do regularly with the outrageous pricing. I ended up paying much more than I expected as a lower price was posted on the TV slide show they had turned on. But in the end the experience is worth it with a group of friends.

Fantastic Experience and Staff. On a business roadtrip, we took the staff here to end Day 1, and everyone really enjoyed it. We went there about 9pm, so we had our own private race track essentially. The facility was not only very inviting and just plain ol neat to look at, but also very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly, funny, and helpful. Karts were FAST, definitely prefer this track over an Autobahn franchise

First off, only a few people were told that they had to wear masks. Second, one of the karts I drove wasnt driving correctly. The front tires werent aligned which caused the steering wheel to constantly want to go left and had a tire squeal when the kart was going in a straight line.

Drove an hour after calling and being told we could get in track , brought my kid and than when I get here I am told kids carts are booked out so he can’t race. Why would I not be told that when I called, why is that not on site that kids carts will run out and they can’t drive so sad. Company gets a child’s hopes up than does this.

Incredibly fun and clean environment for competitive fun for most ages. Minimum height to race is 48inches. Super fast electric karts. No suit required which is nice. Drinks, snacks, couches, trackside seating and more. Worth the fun.

Very fun experience. The cashier, Annabelle, was especially delightful. And, the track officials were cool too. I had some difficulties with finding a fast way around the the track, and they took the time to coach me on a couple of turns. All around, good people.

This is my second time at K1 Speed! Both times were Fantastic, Fast, and Fun. This is a great place for Family, Friends, and group parties. Looking forward to the next there it Highly Addictive!

We had a good time, The electric carts take some getting use to. Not as competitive as gas ones at other tracks, but still fun. The facility seemed new & was very clean and nice.

Very well run facility. The carts are electric and very responsive. No lag when you slide too much in a corner and need to accelerate quickly back to speed. Top notch high tech machinery and carts.

Need to have adults running the place. Kids running place were giving friends the better cars and put slower drivers in between us and them to block us from getting a clean lap.

We took my 11 year old son for his birthday and he LOVED it! He and my husband did two races and I’m glad they did. The first race was really a warm up. My son was much more comfortable the second race and went faster.My husband said the first kart he used was slow, like the battery was dying. His second car was noticeably faster.

Great arcade and fun go carts! Clean bathrooms, not too long of a wait. They also had food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Massage chairs seemed to be a favorite amenity for non-racers.

My husband loves k1. I just go to watch.

This place is a lot of fun and the carts are very nice. I didn’t give a 5 because of the competitive part. Not something easily fixed but if you happen to get in with a couple of slower racers you will have a lot of caution flags and your averages will be all messed up. This is a tough thing to fix but it’s really frustrating if your trying to improve your time. Also my group asked for some money back because half of our laps were caution flags and this place isn’t very cheap.All in all it’s a great place (little expensive). Plan on buying a few races in case one is a bust.

45 M.P.H.!! Super challenging for all ages and skill levels! Food, drink, pool tables,music, disco lights, air hockey, beer wine!! My favorite place to go!!

When you arrive you will need to go to the front desk to pay for your races. The races are expensive and if you havent been in the past year you will also need to purchase a membership which cost $6. For me this was an unanticipated expense. On a busy day, you will have to wait for your race. We waited about an hour. There is a small arcade and some pool tables, but really the only entertaining thing to do is watch the other races. They do have a concession stand, but the selection isnt very good and the prices are high. When its your turn to race you receive very little instruction and get to race for 8 minutes. If you signed up for a second race you will have to exit the track and wait again. Thankfully this wait was only 8ish minutes. The racing itself is fun, but if you get motion sickness I would recommend taking a Dramamine as some of the curves are pretty tight. At the end you get your times and can compare to your friends. Overall its a good time, but was more expensive than I anticipated and took a lot more time.

TERRIBLE, went to k1 Concord. Purchased 4 races between the 2 of us and was told it would be an hour and 40 minutes. 2 hours and 30 minutes later, we were told the cashier never entered us in a race after we had already paid and not one employee bothered to check with us. Therefor we decide to get our money back and leave and I wont be back. Go Pro Motorplex inMoorseville has their act together. Yall need better management and better training. Poor girl at the cash register didnt know what she was doing hardly.

They have great snacks and drinks, they have very awesome games , the cars are fun and they have coins for the games .. I go with my daddy we have fun..They should add new games too

Pretty fun. Paid for two races and the first one was amazing, they only stopped all the cars once or twice so you could really get into it but the second race stopped almost every other lap and honestly I was just ready to be done about halfway through.Employees at the front area were informative and helpful but a few in the racing area were untrained and unobservant.

Had a really good time. Great staff. They took extra time to make my 6 year old kid comfortable on his first driving experience.

Super fun. Bring a group though it would be better than having 3 people unless you are competitive like myself.

Great place, great customer service, always pleasant and accommodating to my 11 year old who loves to race the adult karts. Weve gone weekends & down times. Sometimes the wait is longer between races due to birthday parties & groups, but its always fair & a good time! The manager, Tyler, is very approachable, concerned about safety & making it a good experience for everybody.

This place has given me memories that will last forever. I love racing against my friends and the competition is great. The staff members do their job correctly and try to keep everyone safe.

Wow, lots of fun, pricing seemed fair and reasonable, felt very safe watching kids race on the track. They do a great job of monitoring for stuck cars and keeping everyone in the fun zone.

This place was awesome! The karts went a lot faster than I anticipated but was certainly a welcomed surprise. Great arm workout too! It wasnt until a day after I realized I had lost my car keys. The staff, Jillian and Tyler, were awesome in conducting a search and found my keys lodged under the kart seat.

Drove 45 minutes to be told there was a three hour wait. Does not take reservations. Avoid this place like the plague.

Its alright. Electric Go karts that go fast enough to feel like youre moving. Track size Is small which I guess it made up for the 12 laps thru give you. Gets boring quick.

Great experience. Make sure you get some practice in before they turn the carts speed up. A must if youre in the area. We got to race against Natalie Decker, you never know who might show up for some track time. Thanks for a great time.

If you’re into kart racing or would like to try it KEEP AWAY FROM THIS DUMP. Each car is different, some grip, some slip bad, most of the cars shake like they’re about to fall apart. BUT THE WORST PART is depending on who’s controlling the power! You might get slowed down, sometimes for 10 seconds or 5 laps. What a joke. (GO TO GOPRO MOTORPLEX)

If you like fast go karts. This is a great indoor location. And the team is awesome.

READ BEFORE GOING TO K1 SPEEDFirst off, $88.90 for two people(myself and girlfriend) to go for 2 races and an annual membership card that costs $6 per person and you are required to purchase.Second, the guy instructing the racers looked like he hated his job and gave me an awful impression before we even got on the carts. His demeanor was one that showed that he didn’t care about his job, and carried that into our races.Third, the races were plagued with slamming into eachother, people cutting and running others away from where they were supposed to go and making them spin out. And before you say that I’m just being a bad sport and “it’s just racing,” the staff(according to themselves) is supposed to wave black flags at people who were racing aggressively and hitting others, and the second time a flag would be raised,that aggressive person would be removed from the race. This was not the case. Not one flag was raised when I was hit continuously, by the same cart. So I thought that at least once he would be told to slow down and stop hitting others, but he wasn’t. The staff was very melancholy and did NOT care about what they were doing. If they at least threw one flag at anyone then it would make sense, and I would know that my definition of aggressive driving and targeting was different then theirs, but not a single flag was thrown. They were inattentive, and their “don’t give a s***” attitude really encouraged a bad time. I will NOT be returning to K1 speed, I’d rather light $88 on fire than waste it there.

Theres not many times where I am fully impressed all around by a business, but this is one of them. Its a little expensive but its worth every penny. Every crew member had a positive attitude as soon as we walked through the door. The young girl who registered us was very polite and Tyler was very informative and helpful with everything. Outstanding people work here. We drove all the way here from Charleston, SC for my girlfriends birthday. This was the BEST indoor kart racing experience weve ever had. We need one of these in Charleston! Cant wait to come back with the kids one weekend!

Our son won a challenge w Learning Rx, thru school. The reward was a racing challenge w other school students and staff. What a fun day, K1 is legit! So fun and professional. The go carts arent kiddie ones like at other places either. K1 & Learning Rx were amazing, and made the experience outstanding. We cant wait to come back to enjoy this place again w family.

Great experience that is made better by Tyler (the general manager) and the staff’s energy. Have been karting competitively and racing for years and this facility is great. Karts do tend to lose charge as the day progresses, so best enjoyed early in the day.

Awesome go-cart track. They were very informative and I could tell they value safety.

Indoor go karts. Our group went and had a blast driving the indoor track. This place is huge. Ask for Billy the track manager. He set our group up in go carts, took time to explain how to safely drive the carts around the track and kept the rest of his team on track to make sure we stayed happy. Awesome place and we will definitely return.
