Absolutely a beautiful and wonderful place and their new location is even better! My daughter enjoyed every minute of her party even though nobody showed up. There was so much fun play stuff she was entertained! Prices are so affordable too! Definitely worth the drive as it took us 45 min.

Great place for the kids. Offers so many places for the kids to ACT and Play. The Thursday class was even good, so hands on and all the kids enjoyed. I enjoyed just sitting and watching the kids interact. I loved th Bubble Room and the kids loved everything else.

Lots of fun for kids and adults. Had a great birthday party that we attended there.

Fantastic for young children. Lots of SENSORY activities, as well as STEM activities for everyone. It is just the right size...large enough for the kids to roam and explore, but not so large that parents feel stressed about loosing sight of their little ones. There is a fenced outdoor play area as well, lots of room for fun and physical activity. My two kids (ages 3 and 6) love the Bubble Room, the enormous airplane,and the pirate ship. Great place for learning, stimulation, and fun. Year round passes are very affordable as well. There is also a large room for parties too!

If you have a child who likes self- guided imaginative play, this is a wonderful spot. Recently moved to a large, light-filled building there is plenty of room for movement. Clean. Employees friendly. Great for an individual child, but even better if you have two to play together. The center brings something desperately needed in this part of Texas for children.

This is the best place in the whole world if you are a child or someone taking care of a child.Tons of varieties of blocks. Tons of places to play pretend - A pirate ship, a veterinary office, a grocery store, bank and pizzeria to name a few. Endless toys, musical instruments and even a bubble room. Your kids will go home tired!Theres also a fun outdoor playground and a little diner where kids can have snacks.At $6 for kids and $5 for adults with free parking, this is a very affordable childrens museum.

The kids had a blast and the pricing is perfect. I wish there was a little more control, but that is a parent issue. There are so many different little areas for the kids to play in from a bank to a vet clinic. On the day we visited Dex the dino came out to see the kids.

New building is nice and laid out nicely, my grandsons had a great time.

If I could give a “0” rating, I would. Not only was this my children and I first time visiting but it will be our last. The blonde headed, older lady that looks like a blonde Bea Arthur didn’t go over any rules or regulations nor showed us around. The entire time we were there she was hovering over us telling me the ride on cars remains in the circle or the front of building, toys don’t leave this area or that area but yet kids are already running around with toys and riding scooters around.... And again, our 1st time being here and we weren’t told of anything. Then, what drew the straw on the camels back... the eating tables in the back of the facility were full so we saw a picnic table and sat to eat. One again here come Bea Arthur telling me, “ We aren’t allowed to eat here” and I should’ve told them the tables were full and they’ve brought out another table... HUH? Is she kidding me! Yeah, I won’t be returning! I paid $6 for not only my kids but myself to do absolutely nothing but watch my kids so if my kids wants to play with a toy and take it to another table, so be it! Clean it up. Hell, I paid my dues. Never again will I return. I pay my own bills, my own taxes and last time I check I have “1” mother that birthed me. Thanks Kids Museum and Bea Arthur you lost a few customers. I’ll be spreading my experience to everyone who asks about this place!

Had my sons 7th bday party here. The new location is bigger and better than before. Very clean! The employees were very helpful and friendly.

Surprisingly large play area, lots of fun for kids. Friendly staff. Agreed with previous reviewer to be sure to call ahead about hours availability because they seem to be close to a lot around the holidays.

We love the childrens museum. The kids are free to run, play, and touch anything in an environment specifically set up with them in mind.

Best place in North East Texas for parents with young kids. Purchase a membership for year long play.

Great resource for the community. The kids liked it add theres a wide variety of things to explore. Its primarily a play centre more than what I would consider a museum, but great food young kids. Theres a few things thatre worn and some things are broken, but with a lot of kids coming in to play with things its to be expected.

My granddaughter loved it. We will go back real soon.

It is so cute! There are several little buildings for the kids to pretend they are dentists, doctors, restaurant workers and such.

We love taking the kids here. There are so many things for the kids to do, its clean, and the staff is friendly. We like to go during the week and its practically empty, but have also been for birthday parties where the place was full of kids. Its always fun and a good escape from the heat.

School field trip turned out to be workbooks. Kids were super disappointed. Parents were mad they had to pay for their kids to do packets instead of having fun at the museum. Its really geared for very small children, no older than 9. Friendly staff and well organized.

We had a great time here, so much to do and learn!

My 3 1/2 year old loved this place! We went with a group of friends ranging in age from 4-1 and they all seemed to find something they enjoyed. Great staff, reasonably clean, and great price. If they had a cafe with coffee for the adults we would be there weekly. Its worth the drive to commerce from Rockwall for us.

Just a rant: So a couple months ago we went to the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum because I was interested in doing Mj’s party there. They informed us they were moving locations down the road but that they would be open by October 5th (when we first planned on doing his party) I was weary on doing it there because they were moving but they INSISTED that they would be ready and open. So I put the deposit down and set the date up for October 13th. They called me yesterday and told me their card machine would be down today and said I could pay over the phone so I did, and AFTER I paid they said “I don’t know if someone informed you but there are going to be a bunch of centers in the museum closed because the paint isn’t dry” they told me this after I paid over $150. I decided to still go ahead with the party. We get there and Main Street is completely closed. They only had the back space where they could play which had a pirate ship, bubble room, animals, puppet show ect. They were not able to use the hospital, the play grocery store, the vet room, the baby room ect. HALF OF THE MUSEUM WAS CLOSED. The kids had to see stuff they couldn’t even play in. I asked for a refund and the lady said all they could do was give passes for kids to come back for free. I honestly believe I should get half my money back if we could only utilize HALF of the museum why should I pay full price? When I was told it would be ready multiple times. On top of that, there was some kind of trash in the floor of the museum foil and Easter eggs?? The rugs were covered in grass and you can tell hadn’t been vacuumed, and someone found some kind of small sharp nail on the ground where the kids were playing!!!! I am so disappointed by this and am going to talk with the director about it on Tuesday. Anyone have any advice on how I should handle this?

Absolutely love this place. Plenty to keep the kids happy and busy during the heat of summer, cold of winter, or when its raining. I wish this was in my hometown. Indoor and outdoor play area with lots of settings and toys for kids. Place is always clean and seems pretty safe with parental supervision required.

My son, daughter, wife and I have all enjoyed the childrens museum. It is more of a large activity center, though. There are many different stations and areas all with different themes like the bubble room, pirate ship, space ship, vet clinic, etc..It is very affordable and is a wonderful place to spend 2-4 hours of indoor play for kids 3-12

This museum is great for kiddos. They can have fun while learning. They have different programs during the week so check their website.

Really great place to take your kids. My son loves it! They have an assortment of learning activities, a fenced-in yard to play in, and safety precautions for adults AND children.

Its fine. We had fun, but Im not really sure what all the hoopla is about.

The toys were very outdated and some were even broken.Staff members are friendly. Love the dinosaur who comes out and gives eggs and plays with the kids.Needs upgrades on toys and some must need matience outside

This place is great! Inside and outside play areas. You can pack a lunch and stay for hours and your kids will never get bored. Lots of fun !!

Many different stations to walk around and play at. Entertained aged 7 to 13. Definitely worth our 40 minute drive.

My kids had a blast but my husband and I felt like everything was really dirty and worn out. We drove about an hour to get there because we had heard great things.I am just glad the kids had fun but we probably won’t be back.

Make sure to call ahead... we live 1.5 hours away so we dont come here often but my daughter always asks us to come here. It is a little run down, but if you look at it from a kids perspective, it is a magical place. Unfortunately their website didnt say that they were closed from Dec 24 to Jan 4, so when we pulled up, we were a bit surprised. Now I know to call ahead.

My kids love this place and we visit often. We buy a membership every year. Having 5 kids, a membership makes more sense. Lots of places for kids to play & pretend. Pizza parlor, vet clinic, bubble room, and even outdoor play and more!

Hands on activities that children Love. My 2 year old grandson loved the plane. He drove and we sat on the back. I thought the cow we could imitate milking (water comes out) was pretty neat.

I took my wife and kids to the museum. The atmosphere for the kids is fine, but we will not be back as it is unsafe for my family. Entering required nothing more than writing my name. They should check IDs against the sex offender database especially with adults coming in without their own kids because theyre attending a birthday.There is also no security. Imagine a disgruntled parent who isnt allowed to attend their childs birthday. If they wanted to inflict harm, nothing is going to prevent them from walking in and hurting people. Average police response time is 10 minutes after someone is coherant enough to call 911. Your best hope is a good guy with a gun. Unfortunately the museum has 30.06 signs posted which prevents the 4% of law abiding Texans with licenses to carry a firearm from entering.

Inexpensive and fun place to take kids. Great way to spend a few hours. Let the kids be creative and run off all kinds of energy.some aspects needto be remodeled or moved.not sure who or how it is funded but I am glad it is around. Google maps seems to have this in the wrong place on the map. Its right by Wal-Mart in commerce.. Or it was unless they moved it recently.

A favorite for many years

Really neat place. I took two 5 year olds, and they played here for hours. Museum is a stretch. If they said Activity Center it would make more sense. There are stations such as a train, an area for dress up, musical instruments, a hospital, an airplane, and more. Theres nothing historical or hugely educational, but the kids had lots of things to do and had lots of fun.

They have a beautiful set up, full of wonderful activities for children to learn as they explore and play!

My daughter is 5 and autistic, and she loved this museum so much she didnt want to leave!

Even though its for kids I had a lot of fun and you can have a lot of fun too because theres a lot of activities that you could do with your kids

This place should not be called a museum it is a play place. Paid $18 and spent literally 20 mins there because my 9 year old son was too old for it. It is more for preschoolers. We are all very disappointed.
