I went here for my best friend’s birthday and the drinks tasted water down with no alcohol in them. The pictures we saw online are not what we saw in person. I feel like I was catfished. This will be my first and last time here.

Came here last night, great music, multiple djs, and I really liked the patio. Large selection of liquor between the 3 bars, prices were pretty good too. I liked all the different LED lights too, cool place!

Went here for a work cocktail hour. Pretty basic for downtown Columbus. Was a bit disappointed in the quality of drinks and the decor of the place was old with no thought put into it. Good place to grab a reasonably priced drink but dont expect too much else. The bartender was very friendly, so that was a plus.

Everyone in your party is allowed in as long as they dont have shorts on. They dont hold women to the same dress code as men. My friend was literally wearing the same outfit shorts and a t shirt. Its 85° F its hot. Ill never come back. Besides, its dead in here anyway. Good luck out there college kids. Open your eyes.

I love going to this bar. They have an excellent upstairs and patio as well with two dance floors. The service is always excellent and they keep the place clean and secure. Highly recommend going to this bar if youre in the area.

Love having a night away! And Callahans has always been my first and only choice. The staff is always ready for anything! I always know I will always have a good time when i go. They also have so many bars to order drinks from not just one lol and enough room to be able to dance on either floor. Its the best hang out spot in Columbus

This place is great! Several dance floors including one upstairs outside. People generally seem to be there for a good time! Radio DJs have been there every time I have gone and I love them! Again, love the lights and music! Plus I love Irish pubs and such!

Overall had a good experience with the staff and venue. The only issue we had was with one of the hired police officers that worked the door. Most were cool, but we noticed unwarranted tension from a cops for no apparent reason. Not sure if one of the guys was having a bad day but keep getting mean stares and even seen him push one guy out the door for no reason and cursing him after. I don’t drink so I noticed these things more than others.

I love this nightclub! Great sound system. Prices are same as every where. Rooftop bar is covered and hreated for winter use. Great dance music. Sometimes have live performers down stairs check ahead of time. You can rent out any of the 3 bar zones for private parties.

Went there for a convention event. It was fun, the staff was friendly and fast. It would have been nice if they would of had food for the event, bit I still had fun.

Hit this place up on Saturday night. DJ was playing great music.Had a line to get to rooftop, but was asses to elbows out there.Dance floor was sticky and used plastic cups.

I wasnt a fan of this place. It was alot pf igorant people here the day i went. These folks were pretty rude the day I wnet. I always tell ppl to experience things yourself and make your own decision. I may come back on another day. Hopefully I can add a new perspective for this place.

Just a little tip: do not support Callahans BarI was one of four performers present at the Zombie Madness event last Thursday. We were promised $75 each. Around midnight, we were told to call it a night since the turnout was weak. We were then given $40 to split amongst the four of us, and told that we would receive payment electronically the following day. It has been over a week now and none of us have received compensation for our work and have been given every excuse in the book. Hopefully this can be corrected.Along with this, one of the security guards continually hit on us. They didnt have a fenced off area or platform for the go go dancers, so I got to deal with a creepy patron getting in my face and trying to touch me while security did nothing. Also one of my teammates paid $7 for the tiniest and weakest vodka/water I had ever seen. I will not be back as a performer or a patron.

Went in. Ignored us for 10 mins as they were Waiting for a private party to arrive. We’re the only ones in the bottom floor and no one talked to us. Had to leave right away

Great place for cbus

Fun place to come. Bartenders are welcoming and the staff is always professional. Largest rooftop patio in Columbus! Great thing about this bar are the different atmosphere present. Downstairs is more relaxed feeling. Upstairs is dancing and outside patio is mix of both. Def recommend bringing your friends and yourself if you want to have a good time!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Twice my friends and I have come to this bar and one of my friends were turned away because of the pants they were wearing. One was wearing camo skinny jeans, and the one this past weekend was wearing black shorts that were about a little lower than mid thigh. Absolutely ridiculous. Then, the cop that was at the door with the bouncer got mouthy with my other friend who was asking to speak with a manager and actually shoved him for no reason. All around TERRIBLE bar. DONT GO.

Haha I work here. Of course I will give it a good review. The owner is great, my manager is great. The bartenders that I talk to are great. Im the kitchen manager, try the pizza, I make the dough from scratch.

Lots of drink and food options. Multiple different areas for dancing and hanging out. Literally cant hear the music in other areas that are occupied.

Came in on a Thursday evening and experienced Some really bad customer service. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes while the bartenders texted and ignored me. It was Some of the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced.

I was at this bar with two of my girlfriends and a male friend who happens to be gay. I was dancing with them the whole night when a bouncer pulled my male friend aside and told him he was getting kicked out because apparently the DJ heard him call some girls some crude name and was harassing them. I came to his defense saying I was with my friend the whole night and he would never do that and the bouncer says, Oh youre gay, you must be really sassy. They proceeded to kick my friend out anyway.I then asked for the bouncers name, which he would not give me and started recording this conversation (for my own protection, not to use against anyone else). Ohio has a one party consent law so I felt comfortable I was not breaking the law. Because the bouncer refused to give me his name and I felt like my friend was mistreated and even possibly kicked out for being gay and keeping the creeps away from me and my girls, I asked to speak to the general manager (Brad).Brad reassured me that my friend was kicked out due to the allegations of the DJ against him, but when I expressed my concerns about discrimination the conversation quickly got ugly with Brad threatening to sue me for recording him, asking me where I lived, and what I did for a living. When he found out I was a local physician, he also threatened to look me up on the internet, call the American Medical Association, find out where I worked, and try to get me fired for being a physician out at a bar (last time I checked its not illegal for a 31 year old physician to go to a bar when theyre not on call or responsible for taking care of patients). He also asked me to give him my cell phone and my drivers license. I foolishly gave the cops my drivers license so they copied it but at no point did I act aggressively or unprofessionally. I just confronted the manager with how my friend was treated and I was met with some pretty serious threats.I would not recommend this place. They have some seriously messed up staff.The conversation ended with, Ill see you in court. For what, I cannot possibly fathom.

The rooftop patio here at Callahans is one of its most unique and fun features. However, on certain nights, it can get crowded to the point where its not even enjoyable up there. Overall the bar does it best to stay with the Irish theme but it leans more towards generic. If you like overpriced drinks and rowdy crowds, this a good stop for you.On a side note, of you rent out their VIP room, its a much better experience.

It’s sad for me to say this bc I was the owner’s friend for a long time, but I have to speak out on what I know and what happened to me.Yesterday I went out with a friend for New Year’s Eve. We decided before we drank anything that we’d eat at Callahan’s and have a drink. We uber’d there and when we got up to the door we were told we needed to (rsvp). We had no intentions of staying and simply wanted to eat and have a drink, but instead of letting us do either, we were told to move out of the way. I totally understand bc it is NYE and I get they have to save room, but the large “bouncer” put his hands on me, and forcibly pushed me out of the doorway. I know there’s video. I hope they pull it.The owner came(finally) and said he didn’t have his phone. I had been trying to call and text for several minutes and when I asked the “bouncer” to get out of the cold and wind, he shoved me again. I told him I’m a lawyer and asked him to stop putting his hands on me; however, he looked at me and said “I’m allowed. You trespassed.” I’m a criminal defense attorney, I had not trespassed.Next thing you know the owner was there and let us in. He said he’d reprimand the large man who had shoved me twice, but not once did he go towards him.We left.I hope everyone that reads this is safe when they go to this establishment, if they do.Thought the owner was a friend but I realize now he is not and the man out front (6 foot +, black, large build) is dangerous. He physically shoved me twice and he thinks that he’s ok and has a pass anytime he wants.All I can say is watch out women. And men. No idea what he’d do to a man if he thibkis he’s allowed to physically put his hands on a woman who’s “was” friends with his boss.Just be careful.

If youre expecting a nice classy bar from Callahans youre there for wrong reasons. Place is great for a night out, just make sure to make it a later stop in the night and make a few extra trips to the bar

Drinks are kinda pricey but thats what you find downtown. It wasnt very full the night I was there, maybe because it was the weekend before finals.

The bouncer blocked the fire exit. When I tried to leave, he smashed me in between the two doors. Im not sure why he attacked me but when I got outside and yelled at him for what he did, he tried to push me into the street. He was a large 65 man. I am a 32 year old 53 120lb female veteran who served three tours overseas. I tried to contact the establishment regarding what happened to me. Not a single response. My back has hurt ever since and been severely bruised. I filed charges against them. I would never go here again and hope they go out of business soon riddled with lawsuits. Yelp calls it the Worst bar ever to visit in Columbus. Unless youre into getting beat up by bouncers for no reason while police observe and do nothing, Id skip this bar/restaurant. Public announcement: The police outside are hired by Callahans. They are allowed to perform private security in uniform in accordance with the city. However, if these police are not helping you or wrong in the situations here, you need to call the actual police on duty. These men are not here to protect you. Theyre here to protect the bar.

We we to to Callahans for a podcast meetup during Originsa2018. Over crowded. Couldnt move. Not enough staff. When you could get to the bar they had a limited selection. Ran out of things. Ordering food was impossible. Its like these places dont believe that a podcast will fill the place and they staff and stock for a regular night. Was not fun at all. Didnt even get to meet and greet with the podcasters.

Extremely disappointed with this bar and how they treated my fiance and I. We were simply getting our IDs out to show the 2 guys at the front on Saint Patricks Day and all of the sudden they say that my fiance was too drunk and couldnt come in. We were both extremely confused since the only thing we did was walk up and gave them our IDs. Also, should I mention that my fiance is a physician that just got off working a long stretch of 12 hour shifts and hadn’t even had a drink yet. He may have looked tired, but ive never heard of tired people not being allowed in bars. We were looking at Callahans as venue for one of our events, but we will be going with another venue due to the unprofessionalism of the staff. Its very sad that Callahans hires people that treat their customers this way. We will not be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere. Luckily, Bar Louie was right next door and all of our friends had a wonderful night there!

This is a very bad bar. The bouncer denied my friend and I enter claiming we were too drunk. I was the DD and my friend had just came out of the bar to find me! What a joke! My friend was unable to close out his tab because of this. You can bet your hard earned money they charged a healthy tip for themselves... very bad business.

Enjoying a night out with the crew when one of my dumb friends decided to purposely disobey the orders of security by sitting on the edge of a table. Rather than grab my friend an ask him to leave he was pummeled an thrown around like a rag doll... Overly aggressive security an the short fat owner with glasses seemed to enjoy the show.. Wont go back, hope you go bankrupt smug midget

Callahans is the classic college bar downtown bar scene. Though I prefer more intimate venues, the dancing is excellent and my girlfriends and I always have a great time on the rooftop!

This flaming virgin bouncer claimed I was inebriated just because I forgot to get my ID ready in line. The only thing I had to drink that day was water! I think this place just likes to discriminate against adult ADD. Youll have a much better time at Novaks.

I am a regular on the weekends. My favorite bar to go to in Columbus by far. Love the atmosphere and great prices on the drinks. Always a good time and I get to see my best buddy Jon Shivner behind the bar!

Definitely another Bro bar, but they do usually have a bargain bin of beer at the front of the bar that is dirt cheap. I am quite a fan of the bargain beer.
