2nd time playing at this course...its been a year or so ago. The course continues to be a beautiful and challenging one for all skill levels. Although challenging, its a fun course. The hospitality of the staff is one you look forward to coming back to each and every time. From the check-in w Brad, smiles from the ladies at the outdoor eatery and Marshals the staff makes you feel welcomed. Ill be back!

Beautiful resort with great views, but I unfortunately had a bad experience with a golf course employee. He came over to tell my friends and I that we werent allowed to be on a certain part of the golf course. We didnt know because there was no sign or boundary line, and after he told us, we respectfully apologized and stepped off. It could have ended there, but he continued to rudely tell us, You cannot be over there. You cannot go back there. We apologized and I told him, We wont again. Sorry, we didnt know. For no reason, he continued to tell us that we were violating the property and his choice of words were not the most polite. Im sure that most of the employees there are not this rude and impolite, but this one person definitely ruined my great impression of the country club. Also, the prices are much more expensive than your average local country club.

Nice wedding on the beach with the mountain backdrop that felt very private and intimate. Everything was clean and the he staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

I have only played the golf course, but it was in great shape and I can tell it is maintained well. Dont let that fool you it is a hard course even though it has great views. The greens are fast and undulating, but most tee shots are rewarded even if they are off a little left or right.

Not a member, but I definitely have benefited from this place regardless! They put on quite a spectacular fireworks show every Independence Day (all though when I was a kid, they did it monthly)Regardless, Id go as far as to say this is probably the best fireworks show in town! Even beating out the much more popular and over bloated Memorial Park show.Still, Id like to perhaps become a member someday. But I dont know if Im ready for that ritzy kind of Lifestyle... both socially or financially.

Excellent venue for any corporate golfing retreat, fundraiser, family gathering, or wedding ceremony. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort has a beautiful lobby with high vaulted ceilings and a grand spiral staircase. With a pool, fitness center, event rooms, dining and bar area, billiards, golf course, hiking, biking, a lake, and the Rocky Mountains, what more could you ask for?! 5 star resort with 5 star amenities!

Its ok I got a free pass from them about a year or two ago it was nice except weather took out there indoor pool and jacuzzi ,there was construction going on in mens locker room because ceiling above hot tub was falling in .so my family was kind of bummed we didnt get the full experience I felt so i figured this year we get a chance to try again since they have fixed the pool now and a few other things but when I emailed the lady she said that they dont give out month passes even two week passes anymore ...she could give me a 3 day pass. I was kind of shocked I mean you want people and familys to sign up but you dont give them proper time to check out your facility Im sorry but I dont think theres any family out there with a 5, 3 and 2 year olds and that work full time can really be happy or really make a good decision after only three day pass especially since its 10 to 20 grand to sign up and upwards to 250 to 500 a month depending on family , idk call me old fashioned but I think sometimes you have to try and take care of people a little if you expect them to open up there check book ,but idk probly one of my longest reviews but I hope they see this and reach out and make it right ..

Recent changes in this resort/club have not been good. Ive been a member for years and its clear that its mostly about $$. Today, my family and I were at the lake/pool. There were NO pool lifeguards on duty even though its late summer and there were at least 50 kids in the pool. It was complete mayhem. This is a change from years past. Previously, there would be three to five lifeguards rotating and taking care of the area. While sitting at the beach, I saw the beach lifeguard attempting to use the recovery boat to aid a sail boat on the far side of the lake. The boat stalled 5 times -- it took over a minute to get there. I asked about the recovery boat and was told that it had been reported to management multiple times but not repaired. There have been no updates to the gym in years. I asked if they could update the cardio equipment to work with the latest generation smart phones and was told theres no plan to do so.Pineviews menu was completely revamped again this year. Now, the average cost for dinner is over $20. I asked about Happy Hour. Was told its M-Th until only 6:00. The place wasnt open M/T so basically its 2 days a week until 6. I brought this up to the management and was told changes were not going to occur. This is a primary reason its empty most of the time.I have been a member at this club for a long time and it is declining. I have no personal issues with the club. I would like to see it be more successful.Have tried to discuss with management but was met with attitude -- nearly direct quote, I cant manage a club based upon what members might do. I guess if member/customer satisfaction isnt priority 1, what is?This year, theres no Labor Day party at the beach/pool -- its up at the resort. Again, no member focus.Over the years, theres less benefit to members. If I had to do it over, I would not join.

We have been recreational members of the club for a few years now. Now that all the flooding issues have been dealt with and they have upgraded the facilities the venue is much more enjoyable to visit. The staff have always been nothing but wonderful. My spouse works out in the gym nearly every morning before work so its no surprise that they know him, however I go at sporadic times and sometimes not for a few weeks and yet the fitness center staff know my name which to me speaks volumes to the level of service. The restaurant attached to the club itself is not particularly impressive for quality of food. The prices arent unreasonable but weve been let down several times for food - at least they have a bar though. And the hours are more or less non-existant during the winter which is unfortunate, but the hotel restaurant just above the club is always available to us and the quality of food there is much better anyhow. The club does several events throughout the year for members but at least 95% of them are kid-centric. As a couple that doesnt have kids, it leaves little for us to participate in without it being awkward. The quarterly member mixers are nice to attend but thats about it for kid-free events. We do wish there were more opportunities at the club that were adult only however I see that as being unlikely. The only thing thats truly disappointing about this club (and maybe this is the same at every country club, but this is our first membership so I have little for comparison) is the attitude of some of the other members. Many members carry a sense of entitlement which is very apparent and they treat the staff as if they were their housekeepers - leaving towels in the middle of the floor, coffee and water cups all over the gym, refusing to wipe down equipment after using it, getting short with staff now that 100% ID checks are in place, etc. We all paid our membership fees and pay our monthly dues to be there, so Im a bit baffled as to why some individuals act as if theyre to be waited on hand and foot, and in the process, treat other individuals like such rubbish. Again, maybe this is the standard for most country clubs, but I can honestly say this is the only real disappointing factor to the club overall. Otherwise, we are both happy to have it, love the staff and facilities.

This place is a disaster! The country club of Colorado (I quote jokingly..) has been partially open since the September flooding. My husband and I joined the club a little over a year ago because we were referred by a couple we know. We paid $5500 to join and pay dues of $250 a month for a recreational membership. Since the flooding they have only offered members a 50% discount on monthly dues in return you can use 24 Hour Fitness down the street and swim at the local high school pool. Seriously, this is a country club?!?!? I could pay 24 Hour Fitness $40 for my family and swim at the Y for $40 a month. To top it off since this disaster they have been horrible to their members and extremely rude. The have stopped communication with members or call backs Im assuming because everyone is ill with the situation. If you are looking at this place I would tell you as a member Dont Do It! My family regrets it and Im sure your family will too.

I am a long time Springs resident and have always enjoyed my time at the CCoC, AKA Gates. We joined the club about 10 years ago as recreational members and subsequently upgraded to golf membership. Its a great place for family and the facilities are second to none here in Colorado Springs. The golf course in in beautiful condition and much improved over the past couple of years. They have also update the clubhouse, golf locker room, and fitness center recently. Not sure what the expectations are of some of the others whom have posted poor reviews, but club management has dealt with major flooding issues as best as possible, given the circumstances. As to comments from others about the staff, maybe you get what you give? In my experience, the staff have been very friendly and helpful, even when I have had an issue to be dealt with.

Not very impressed. Was brought to play there last summer and then returned this year. Last summer the course was in horrible condition. Just terrible. A dog track. I thought, Ill give it another shot. This year the course was better, much greener, and the greens were better. My problem now is that while the course is in better condition, its still not great by any stretch of the imagination. They charge way to much for what you get.

I have been a club member at The Country Club of Colorado for nearly 10 years. As a large family of 10, we have found great value in our club membership and without hesitation would recommend CCOC to anyone looking for a meaningful and safe family atmosphere, excellent service, and a great golf experience. My 8 children’s ages vary between 1 and 16 and we can all attest to an overall unbelievable experience for many years. As we sit in very close proximity to the club, our family has been able to use all facets, but just wish that we were more frequently visiting the fitness center. The kids are always looking forward to Spring and Summer activities and our fondest family memories have taken place during the big club parties at the beach, like the Hawaiian Luau, July 4th and Club Birthday Party. The kids love the music, games, kiddie pool and playground and we would not miss these events for anything. A few of the benefits unique to our family are the unparalleled postcard views on the patio for dinner and the ease of getting a tee time. As an avid golfer, I also appreciate a 4 hour round, which the club monitors closely on summer days. My kids are also learning golf and participate in the golf camps, which are led by one of the country’s most renowned instructors, Ann Finke. These intangibles cannot be put in a brochure. Thank you CCOC and staff!!
