This place is awesome, talk about customer service and going above and beyond. My daughter wanted to learn how to shhot a bow and these guys definitely set her up for success. They have a great pro shop and the range is awesome, not to mention the archery coaches who made my daughter and I feel very welcome.

Well, I love these guys. I recently bought a crossbow because I have bad hands. While at range, I saw a guy using a release device with a compound bow, and figured I may be able to make an attempt at it. I bought a bow on eBay, XPEDITION. I live in Denver and called XPEDITION for some guidance. They recommended this school if I could swing the drive. Well I did, and it took a few trips and some trial and error, but I made progress and learned a lot, you can’t watch YouTube and become a Holliday inn express expert, ha ha. Long story short, these guys are very helpful and knowledgeable. Don’t get mad if things take a bit, I had what I thought was an issue (and management explained what was up and resolved my issues, I saw some reviews on google and responses from owners / management, these responses are true, these guys will do their very best to make you a life long customer.) Their coaches are awesome- like Coach TACO- And also a coach that told me not to be ashamed of draw weight because Ted Nugent shot with 40 pounds draw weight, ha ha—-And Brandon is the man, built my bow from a box, long story. I will be buying more bows and equipment from these guys for me and my family in the future, (not from eBay) I will go with these guys through email or phone call or drive, 110 miles round trip. GO WITH KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE- these guys will work with you,

These guys are the best. Hands down.If you want an awesome range to shoot at, or need a repair/tune/new bow, they’ve got you covered. I’ve been shooting here for about 8 months now and have never had a complaint. Not too busy, and even when it is there is plenty of space. Super helpful staff that’s not afraid to give advice or a nudge in the right direction. If you’ve got a problem, they can handle it.

Dennis is a top notch guy that will help you get those groupings nice and tight! The ranges are great and also they have a very nice selection of gear and accessories. These pics are from 40 yards after a session with Dennis. He helped me greatly get my consistency and groupings a lot better. A+!

I knew this place was not a good fit when BOTH of the employees I talked to first intention was to show me one of the most expensive bows in the shop (when I was really only there to ask questions and get a possible restring on my current bow). I know that’s how they make money but they lost a customer very quickly.

Will and the rest of the shop took their time in finding me the right bow when I didn’t know what kind I wanted. They let me pay off some stuff first instead of just all at once. Also the bowstring that came with the bow VS will bowmans strings made at least a 15 FPS difference.

When buying my sons bow, I decided to go with our local archery shop even though I had found it cheaper elsewhere. The selection wasnt bad, and I wanted to support a local shop. The purchase went smooth and that is the only reason there are two stars. The range is very cramped and crowded with pompous professional shooters who have no problem moving your stuff so that they can have time spot. There is a larger range in the back, but I was told told it was unavailable due to a couple of people receiving lessons. One time when I was there, I asked them to increase the weight on my sons bow to 55lbs and that it was currently set to 40lbs. Rather than do what I asked, they only cranked it up to 45 lbs. I had to go back two more times to get it to 55lbs. Every time was hassle and it took forever due to a lack of personnel. The lady that was working the counter is also rude and condescending. Lesson learned. I will take my money to Bass Pro or Sportsmans Warehouse in the future. And save money and hassle.

INCREDIBLE bow shop and facilities! My husband and I have never been more impressed with service and knowledge at an Archery store. This place is AMAZING and the customer service is top notch! Dennis was a wealth of knowledge and we learned a few new tips to improve our compound bow shooting. The indoor range is awesome and we were able to shoot the same day we went in for assistance. I wouldnt recommend another shop to anyone.....this is the ONLY place to stop for help with repairs to your bow, questions in general or just to shoot. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! We have never been more impressed with a bow shop EVER & we have been to MANY, MANY shops! You will NOT be disappointed. Thank you ALL for your help! =)

Exceptional service! I went with a friend to buy a bow on a friday. We went when they opened at 11am.we were immediately greeted by Mark who answered all our questions and some we didnt know we needed to ask. Dennis was also very knowledgeable and helpful and set up everything for us. We learned about maintenance and got to practice set up and break down. They also let my friend test out his new bow on their amazing range. They truly went above and beyond. We will definitely go back. Their coaches and prices are also amazing. Check them out!

What a great experience! We had a 13th birthday party and I was so impressed with all the preparations and fun! Scheduling was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the decorations already set up when we arrived-they matched our “donut grow up” theme with plates/tablecloth/etc, and even had paper donuts on the wall to aim at! We had a personal guide to help all the kids with form and safety, and she was kind and fun with the kids the entire three hours we had for the party. The fee was super reasonable for the time we were allotted, decorations, and even goodie bags for each of the kiddos (they even found donut themed goodie bag stuff!!)I heard over and over how “awesome” the party was and it was such a blast to find something a little different for the kids to do. Thanks for taking great care of us!

As we we arrived we were greeted by a trainer. He was under one understand and we were told something different. We understand that the cost we paid was for 4 people, when in fact it was only paying for 2 people. They were also completely thrown for a curve arrow that they are working with a Special needs child. Much time was spent on trying to solve the problem that my other child was just seating and waiting for things to start. I personally feel that the leak of information given to trainer ahead of the class has set the whole family on edge.As a parent there needs to be more information taken to help those working and training these type classes. I am those thankful my daughters ABA therapist was present to deal with her rise in anxiety that came on during the time that we where working to get details panned out at check in, just so we could Start.

Wonderful school and people. Received excellent training by Coach Bowman (who also custom makes strings). Bought my first bow from them for a great deal. Facilities are awesome. They have threshold meetings (military members shoot for free) on tuesday noon and thursday evening (as of 13DEC18). Highly recommend. My only regret is not having joined them earlier.

I called to ask about private lessons for my autistic nephew and spoke with Karin. She acted as though I was bothering her. She was condescending and rude. You would think someone who coaches and teaches people would actually like people. I was blessed to find another archery training center that was very thoughtful and helpful.

Worst service ever. I would never enroll my child here. Poor coaching that promotes shooter based on how much parents complain not by talent. Poor business practices. Had a archer that was very sucessful in another State. Moved here and enrolled in this school believing they would invest in my child and give her direction. Instead, my child was ignored and given poor direction. Several student were promoted to competition teams that she clearly out shot. When we tried to end the contract they require you to pay half of the remaining balance. That is outrageous, they moved locations, that should of ended the contract or the fact that my child has not attended in months. Tried to tell me it was like a gym membership, I dont know any gym membership with a 24 month contract and required to pay 1/2 of remaining balance to end. I would never enroll my child here again.Edit: Karin I will try to reach out this week. You and I both know this all happened right after I renewed my contract. We tried to walk away quietly when we discovered this was not the right environment for our child but your business practices make that impossible.

Archery School of the Rockies is unusual in its excellence. Staffed almost completely by volunteers, the school goes out of its way to provide high quality instruction by certified teachers who do an exceptional job helping archers at all levels from novice to disabled to older (like me) to very accomplished shooters. I introduced my granddaughter to archery here and she became enthralled. In addition to instruction, they have a variety of teams for kids where good citizenship is taught as part of the program. Junior Olympics (JOAD) and Silver Arrows (for the very mature) are only two of several programs availabile. I have been shooting for almost 60 years and this is one of the very best organizations I have encountered.

Called and asked about lessons and they gave me a outrageous price and to free shot was ridiculous. I then took my kids to a free range and taught all four how to shot. I really wanted them to learn in a kids setting, along with how to share and be a teammate.
