Very well kept. It is a great place for a quick hike. The purple trail is a lot of fun and will give you a good workout. The yellow trail is relaxing and calmer. Love both!

The yellow trail is very nice and well marked. The purple trail bridges have been repaired. However this trail could still benefit from putting in a method to protect the trail in areas prone to flooding. NOTE: If you plan on taking the puple trail know that it goes to a road which you must walk along past two driveways before reentering the preserve, this area could use more markers. There is a primative trail crossing which is a cemented area through the creek. The water was at least 6 inches deep and more than 8 feet wide. .. So plan to take off your shoes or get your feet wet unless it has been very dry for a while. Some areas could really use a trail cleanup. In addition to the dog owners who leave their dog poop bags for the poop fairies, some have tossed their beverage containers just off the trails. Overall this preserve is really wonderful.

Well maintained and busily traveled trails. The yellow blazed trail is a gentle loop. The purple blazed trail is a bit more rugged and youll probably get your feet wet.

This trail (purple trail) was a good test of my balance! Lots of rocks and tree roots, and a couple of stream crossings. Its a step up from the trails weve been hiking recently in both length and difficulty, which is what I need to get back in shape for the more difficukt trails Id like to hike. That said, this is labeled as a difficult trail, but as a long-time off and on hiker, I might consider it more moderate in difficulty.

I love this place and wish I had time to hike here more often, there are miles of trails to travel. It is beautiful no matter what time of year you come. It is a great place to go whether it is for a short walk just to get some exercise or a long hike. The trails are not paved so if you have a child in a stroller or a disability this may be challenging. Also the trails are not maintained in the winter so if you want to go for a hike in the snow you will not be disappointed, but otherwise you may not want to hike here right after a heavy snow.

It gets real muddy but gosh is it a nice walk. -1star because there is this loud af puppy mill by the trail about 1/4 mile or so in that you can hear for around 2 min if walking at a moderate pace, kinda a buzzkill to be honest. But besides that its great.

Its a nice area to hike, sometimes is a bit congested with alot of ppl coming and going and the trails arent that wide. The parking lot isnt too big, maybe fits up to 10 cars.

A shady retreat for trees, birds and people who appreciate them. And yes, we did see a Scarlet Tanager, Bluebirds and heard quite a few Ovenbirds.

Great location. Great paths. Very woodsy!Update: this is my favorite spot to go. Good 5 mile hike. Some hills to climb and some streams to cross. Amazing you can do this so close to Coatesville. And it is quiet. Well maintained by Erin, Emma and staff, which I know this year has not been easy, but they do a great job and are also very friendly. Thanks, team.

Great for hiking in the woods. Two water crossings on purple trail might test your balance and wet your feet.

Great area to off path walk. Not many people the couple times Ive been there which I prefer. Different trails are marked very well. It does get muddy, so I suggest boots

Great park, not very large but enough to keep you entertained. The trails are narrow so you might end up bumping into other people on the way which can be a problem if youre both walking dogs. The parking lot is very small so you might not find a place to park on the busier days.

I visited this preserve today, hoping to find a new park to bring my dog for a walk. The trails were very muddy, given all the rain we had recently. Unfortunately, I didnt have the chance to walk the entire trail. It seems like a really nice place, I will give it another try when it is drying up.

Great nature trail. Just be careful if you are going the day after a rain storm, because it does not drain well. And I would wear boots, sneakers were not a great idea.
