This museum is a Time Machine that makes history come to life. Monument to Steelworkers- made of Steel from the World Trade Center. Fun place to learn about all things made of Iron & Steel, the Industrial Revolution, the Words first Female Industrialist, longest continuously operating Steel Mill in USA

Nice collection of historical and technical information. the shipbuilding tie-in was an added plus, as was the 9/11 & steelworker memorial. However, they totally missed US Steel Fairless Works in their collection of facilities in PA. Im not sure how, it was a large integrated mill that was worthy of a entry in the World Book Encyclopedia.

Visited for Xmas open house. Fantastic evening..luminaries, carolers, 18th century restored mansions..like a victorian Xmas in coatesville. Dedicated, earnest volunteers doing real preservation work. Put a couple bucks in the collections box, they can use the help..

If I could give zero stars, I would. I tried to visit today with a service dog, but was not allowed to enter. We were told they do not allow service animals in their museum. Very disappointing!
