This is a pretty cool museum, even if you are from Clovis. There are so many interesting facts that I never knew about this town. Clovis has a rich history and interesting background. The only problem is, this place seems to be closed every time I walk by. I’m in Old Town almost everyday and it seems to be closed. Overall, cool place.

We loved this, totally a blast from the past!! Only bad thing was the site was small compared to how much stuff they have with all the people going through & their was some broken glass near the last room so sadly we werent able to see. Other than that it was fantastic seeing so many things from Clovis history like class photos, clothing, some agricultural stuff, & military. It was great to see everything firsthand, they had several things from WWI & I believe like 3 dedications/pictures from soldiers that were KIA in Fallujah. Also the various weapons from German grenades to a Japanese weapon. Very interesting! Cant wait to go back & possibly take some more time looking at everything.

Ran by volunteers each day from about 10 am - 2 pm, Clovis - Big Dry Creek Museum has to be one of my favorite museums in the Fresno & Clovis area. The museum is fairly little, it sits around a small little corner on Polasky and 5th. The museum has a rich history of it being an old municipal court as well as an old bank (that was robbed which then turned into a court).Inside youll find a couple volunteers, for us it was the Wednesday volunteers, Mary & Doug, and they were the most precious and nicest people weve ever met. Both of them have been in Clovis since they were born, and they actually had their yearbook photos in one of the rooms! As said before, the museum is fairly small, so most of the museum were just mostly old antique items. There are a couple rooms dedicated to the founders of the city, as well as another room just for veterans who were from Clovis. When we finished visiting, both Mary & Doug gave us a free book that had history and images of the city of Clovis. It doesnt take long to visit and it surely doesnt take too long to look around. If you are bored walking on your way out of Roll Me Some, stop by the museum and learn about the history of where you live :).

My wife and I have no ties or Purvis experience with Clovis. We were just passing through, and decided to stop in. We did enjoy the museum, as well as interacting with the staff. The museum houses an interesting and well displayed collection of Americana. Its well worth a trip, if youre in The area.

A lot of history. This is a volunteer run facility allowing it to be free admission. The site is very small and what is in there is packed in. That being said, it is limited with displays that dont change. There isnt anything more recent as well either. I understand all.of this, just wish there was another museum to highlight so much more of the history of the area

Located in the historical 1912 First State Bank building, the Clovis-Big Dry Creek Historical Museum displays and maintains historic photos and artifacts with a special military room to honor our veterans. There are Clovis High graduate pictures from 1903 through 1965 and over 380 Clovis families in our albums.
