A challenging and scenic golf course is waiting for you...The fairways are a bit tight but if you can keep the ball in play then you will have no trouble...A definate course to okay in Northern Minnesota...

Great selection of slots and they had a lot of the newest games on the floor. The slots were very tight in comparsion to some of the other Casinos in Minnesota, but casino was clean and teammates were friendly.

Great public golf course. The course is maintained well, there are paved cart paths the entire course, and the carts have electronic scorekeeping/distance measure. The clubhouse offers drinks and food at a reasonable price. The course is a bit difficult for beginners, but for those who have golfed before, this is an inviting place to spend the day.

Love this course!!! Very nice greens. Better stay in the fairway because chances are you will lose your ball in the thick brush or the abundance of water.

Course is always in wonderful condition. Beautiful greens. Going to the casinos buffet before and/or after is a great way to spend the day.

Not open yet but we know this is a great course from peoples comments. Challenging but not too hard and great price last year. Call them in spring for their rates and availability.

Beautiful course, but very tight. Be prepared to lose some golf balls. Accuracy is a premium. Greens are very flat and fair. Just getting on in regulation is a challenge. They have a very good twilight rate of $29 including cart.

Wasnt at the golf course. The hotel room i had was a smoking and i forgot i had asked for smoking room until i seen the ashtray! No smell of cigs in our room! Great group of staff However, beware of the bed frames idk how many times i run my shin into those corners

Love coming to Black Bear Casino! Great food, great choices to play on the machines and cards.

Ate Sunday breakfast buffet. Tessa was very nasty! Asked for clean silverware. She said the silverware was clean, it was the dishwasher. I wiped the table with a hand sanitizing wipe. It was BLACK! When I owned my restaurant, and she worked for be, she would have been let go.

Staff is wonderful and the prices are great. Food drinks and fun in a smoke free environment. The course is beautiful and the deck is so nice to sit out on and have a few cocktails.

The buffet is pretty good. Plenty of nice slots. But if you dont smoke prepare to feel like you just finished two packs when you walk out. The non-smoking area is right next to the regular area with no walls separating it. The even have places to stay out front if you lose your house!

Room was decent some damage to drywall in room.

The buffet was great as usual. My girlfriend doubled her $ on the slots so the buffet was essentially free.

Spectacular golf course & $39.99 price with $19.99 replay. GREAT VALUE! Pristine condition. Greens rolled true. Beautiful, scenic northern Minnesota golf course with many rock outcroppings, & many landscaped flowers throughout. Tight, but a good fair challenge. Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding. The best Buffet bar none...the casino was dirty and smelly. The gift shop way over the top expensive. The coffee shop served me a single latte instead of the double I ordered, but charged the double shot price. Black Bear I was totally disappointed...

You better pack a lunch and bring a friend if your going to take this golf course on, because this course will beat you up. Very tight fairways carved out of the deep woods. If it was ranked, Id guess its the least forgiving golf course in America (not kidding). This is why the house rule is every shot on every hole is played as a lateral hazard. Its fun and well maintained, but you are left with very few options off the tee on several holes. There are several par 4s and par 5s where you have no room to fit driver in there. Lots of par 4s in the 360 to 400 range with about a 40 to 50 yard wide landing area. Water or deep woods on both sides of hole! I hit 4 iron on a couple longer par 4s off the tee and I hit 4 iron off the tee on 18 which is a par 5! The par 5s are all around 500 yards, but 3 are ranked the top 3 in difficulty on the course. The first par 5 (hole 3) you have about 20 yards strip to land your ball in.On 18 you have gigantic boulders in the fairway still left over from when lake superior covered the area after the last ice age. If your drive clears the first set the ball will most likely ricochet off the second set. They are placed at 230 and 260 off the tee. I managed to shoot 80 from the back tees and it felt pretty good. Next time Ill be even more strategic. The closing holes are some of the toughest on the course. A very sobering challenge for the lower handicap golfer.

My Father-in-law plays on this course all the time and he loves golf, enough said.

It was the most racist place you can go. If you are not native you have to wait for all the natives to go first. Then once on the course it wasnt maintained at all. My cart got stuck in a foot of mud. Never again will I go to any of there establishments.

Love this place! There is something to do for everyone in the family. From swimming and arcade for the kids to fitness center Starbucks and Casino for adults. Before settling into your comfy room, the entire family can enjoy dinner at The Steak House or The Buffet and a Cafe! The food is delicious and staff is extremely friendly. Also if you like to listen to good music and bands check out the Cobalt Lounge for some adult fun. Anyone who is looking for a good place to stay where all ages will be satisfied then Black Bear Casino and Hotel is the place for you! Throw your childs Birthday party in one of the party rooms or getting married? Have Reception in the banquet hall and for your guests you can book a block of rooms to end the night. I could go on and on about this place but I think my point was made clearly. Check it out for yourselves. 5 star rating from me.

We stop here every year. On way to go fishing. Nice rooms & gambling for older kids while younger ones swim & go to the game room to win prizes.

Very well conditioned course. Friendly staff, and reasonable rates. The design is overall excellent. Its an extremely tight course (bring some balls), but is quite short and everything is marked water hazard. The course is built in beautiful wetlands , but drains well due to the playing surface (greens, tees, fairways) all being elevated 4-6 feet above the surrounding wetlands.For the price, its a great, perfectly conditioned, short challenging course.

They have a steak house that is outstanding.

Remember that they can smoke inside the casino. That was a little disturbing. However Im there for 1 drink and the buffet. Seafood night really surprised me with super fresh oysters! Seriously the best fresh oysters Ive ever had. It was a wonderful surprise ! Most everyone was feasting on the crab, which was fully stocked the entire time. Definitely a winner! Will be visiting again!

The heating system in 102 was extremely noisy. At on point it skreeched like metal on metal - bearings shot???.Great breakfast buffet. Sea food buffet had too much deep fried items.Nice facility with reasonable prices.

My wife and I ate at the seven fires. The waitress was nice at first. Until she realized that it was about 9:20. We ordered prime rib with salad it usually comes with bread but she said that they thru it all out. She brought out the steaks and they were cold and tough. We paid a lot of money for a dinner that basically came from the buffet Im sorry but I will never eat there or recommend the seven fires

Bring lots of balls if your not an expert.

It was nice but the starter didnt know how to do there job and we had to wait for people ahead and then people had to wait for us
