Used to camp there as a kid. Used to be great fishing off shore. If you plan on taking a boat out be warned its not deep at all. Some spots less then a foot and tons of green growing out there

So quiet! Almost nobody was camping and fees have been waived this year.The only downside was that we were destroyed by mosquitos!

Not much there but the Mississippi is great anywhere.

Great hidden gem for any cyclist looking for a little adventure. Bring water and ear plugs. You are right next to train tracks and the water tasted like sulfur. The views are worth the trip, I hope to get back soon.

Great quiet place to camp, fish, or just relax! Besides the train tracks nearby Id recommend this spot to anyone.

Although theres a decent amount of mosquitoes right at dusk this campground is great because it is right on what has to be one of the widest part of the Mississippi Im told over three miles wide and to watch the sunrise here is absolutely spectacular. You go down a big hill on a dirt road across true seeming Wilderness to get to it but it definitely feels like you are in the middle of nowhere and yet youre only a couple miles from town and a few diners. For only $12 a night you can meet and talk with the campground host who lives in a solar-powered off-the-grid RV

They need to get the whole park opened again...
