Great place. My family had a great time this weekend staying here. It’s nice to see a mature grounds (grown trees) unlike the normal parking lot style camp grounds. Everyone one there is friendly and courteous. We will definitely come back.

Awesome host opening new bait shop on premises

We went there for 3 days for my birthday. The cabin was clean,fully stocked with everything,but food,roomy and comfortable. Very quite,even with kids there. They also have a pool,lounge and what my husband loved most,a fish cleaning station. We plan on coming back as much as we can. Close to truman lake Go and have fun,we did!

My best friends have a camp site their. Every time Im there the owners are very friendly and out going. The store out front anyways has what I need.

Hickory Hollow is a great community. Neighbors are nice, helpful, and they look out for each other. The resort is near the water, with a COE ramp just a few minutes away. The resort has plenty of activities, including a pool and plenty of parties. Cabins are available to stay in, with a nice shower house near. The pontoon available for rental is really awesome and is already on the water. Wi-fi has recently been added which is nice, but pricey.

Great family spot although some of the golf carts get to going too fast

The place was great, the area was nice and quiet. We stayed in cabin 12 and loved the back deck. It was cozy and perfect for a weekend cabin. There were a couple things that might prevent us from going again. The water smelled like rotten eggs! We thought it may go away after running water through them but no, the showers were not perceived well because of this and we brushed our teeth with bottled water. The 12-cup coffee pot didnt brew anything over 6 cups. The back deck was coming away from the corners and one side was unsittable due to fear of it falling apart.

We are a family of 7 and we loved staying here. We rented a boat and a lily pad. Definitely worth it, the kids had a blast. The man who rented us the boat was the best. Everyone was so nice!

Great place to get some tackle before hitting the lake. Very friendly staff and great prices that include a place to clean your catches of the day if you buy your bait from them. If you need some last minute snacks or drinks they got you covered.

We rented a pontoon boat from them. Staff was very nice and helpful. We will be renting a pontoon from them again in the future.

Great location our cabin was dated but comfortable...fridge froze everything...beds were better than a rock..owners were nice...

I was there for work, not a stay. I met the owner and his son, theyre good people. Very friendly. I will be going back for a stay in the not too distant future.

Great location with nearby lake access. Accommodations were good with everything we needed. Outstanding fish cleaning station. Great folks running the place. Well be back.

Tl;dr Owners are rude and unwelcoming with poor hosting skills and less than desirable amenities, but pool was nice.When you arrive, the office is locked with a sign to call a number. Chances are they either dont answer the phone, or you dont have cell service.Then, since its connected to The Lodge, guests assume its an extension of the office and try to enter through there, resulting in our familys cabin stay being repeatedly interrupted by lost strangers.When we asked to tour The Lodge, we were led through a messy hall via the storefront rather than through the front door, and the AC wasnt yet set up-an hour after check in, mind you, smelling like mold. The toilet and outside patio were not cleaned and required to be brought to owners attention to attend to.As we were making our payment for our stay, suddenly there was an added $80 charge-children were now being included in the pricing although it was made clear to us on the phone during reservation that children under a certain age were exempt. This was rectified with much reluctance.When we asked if there was anything we should know about the stove or oven, response was Its a stove and an oven. When in fact, it would have been very useful to know that one of the burners did not function, and neither did the stove fan. Whats more, above the stove and counter is a steel guard for the fan with sharp corners that failed to have guards/protectors on the edges.The fire extinguisher is expired (May 2018)There was a mouse! Multiple calls were made to owners that were never returned.There is a broken electric outlet upstairs with a piece of metal jammed in it.The grill was rusting off and barely balancing on the stand.Surprisingly the pool was nice and clean throughout our stay.

Great place to stay very nice staff. Our family had a blast at Truman Lake for a week for the Fishing For Freedom tournament.

Great owners very friendly and accommodating. Its not just for RVs they have cabin rentals and a nice swimming pool area. Will visit again!

Rustic, but they do need to repair the road in - its getting a little treacherous. Im sure the reasons and flooding havent helped the situation! owners are very nice and accommodating!

This place is amazing! Amazing owners, super nice and friendly! They are always their to help u when u need them! Cabins are very modern and cute like a cabin should be! You can never get bored, big pool , gameroom, basketball court, a big field to play in and a playground! Its also very shady , beautiful and the place that u should pick to stay!

This place is awsome, my parents have had a camper here year round for 2 years and we go every weekend, I have made so many freinds!

Absolutely love this place! The owners are friendly. We rent the cabins when we visit. They are clean and very comfortable. Everything we need for a vacation is here. So much to do we are never bored! Highly recommend!

We came here 3 yrs ago and rented a cabin and liked it. So this ur we decide to bring the pop up camper. As we get to the office to check in they tell us theirs credit cards machine wasnt working and it was cash only. As we get to the lot it was bad to get in because of everyone was so close together. The ppl that was in the in the lot next to us was parked in the lot that we rented. As we get everything hooked up we find out that the pool wasnt working and all the showerhouses and toilet was broken as well. So here we r without anyway to use the bathroom or shower. We will NOT BE RETURNING Matter of fact I would like my money back...

Great place to be. They have pretty much of everything you would need for a great vacation.

Very private and quiet park with a pool for the kids. We found the owners and more permanent residents helpful, kind and accommodating. A little on the rustic side which suites us just fine.

Pretty nice we had a large group and stayed in the lodge was a nice place to crash and get ready for fishing, had plugs for charging boat and lots of room for RVS too.

Great family oriented place to stay!

My husband and I pulled our RV in here on May 28, 2015. We have been here every day since. We absolutely LOVE Hickory Hollow! Doug & Tonya have made us feel at home. They have gone out of their way to help us!Besides the owners being very friendly, weve found that our neighbors are exceptionally hospitable, as well. Thus far, weve only had positive experiences with everyone!The price is fantastic! The pool is super clean and quaint! Privacy and noise level are PERFECT! Theres not excessive cars in/out of the resort.There is a laundry room onsite. We have taken advantage of our doing our laundry while poolside! Who can complain about laundry when its done like that! And, they have a nice pavilion with ample seating, if you are having a family gathering.Dont forget the new fish cleaning station! It looks awesome! Im just holding out until I catch the big one!Kindness, cleanliness, honesty, and great prices goes a long way in keeping us here as their loyal customers!
