I havent been here much since the owners changed, but took the family out the other day & had a great experience. The new owners really care about the park & although the employees could be more attentive (they are teenage boys), the store is in order & the park was looking great! We got some new skate gear & even got to skate for a bit. Cant wait to take the kids to skate in the fall! If your into skateboarding, TriStar is the place to go. No doubt about it. 10/10 would recommend.

Everyone in there was super friendly and helpful. I got my new board here, which they set up for me. Theres a pretty good selection of decks, trucks, wheels, etc. and theyll help you if youre unsure about something. The store also has clothing and shoes. Also theres an indoor skatepark (which I havent tried yet) that looks fun.

Took my daughter and her friend here to buy a board and find out about the skate park. They did a great job helping her select a board and filling us in on lessons and the park. Learning to skate can be intimidating but they were so cool. Glad they are in the neighboorhood

While this is my 2nd time dealing with Tri-Star it is the last time. I tried to work with the owner who says I can eat the shipping on a deck they ruined with these cheap pricing labels that once on the deck (not wrapping) is impossible to remove. It ruined my $65 Madness deck. No discounts on a replacement and the first order had a warped deck at $80!!! Otherwise good selection but with so many choices I will move on.

Called the company to verify what skateboards they had and shipping time. Products arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered.

Ordered Thunder titanium lights from them during this pandemic and got them quickly! Also misspelled my address and they called me the same day to get the correct spelling. (Sorry that I forgot who I ordered them from when you called lol!) Happy to support a skateboarder owned business since my local shop did not have them.

Go to Tri-Star Skateboard. I dont care who you are. Brand new to skateboarding (as I am), or a veteran. Theyre helpful, understanding, and funny.Personal experience: My girlfriend and I went to Tri-Star around 6pm on 6/20/20 because theyre the closest Skate shop to where we live. Neither of us have *any* real experience skating, or buying. Despite this, the associates at Tri-Star were amazingly understanding and extremely helpful, without smothering us, nor selling us stuff we didnt need.They were quick, easy to work with, and most importantly 100% transparent. They dont tell you things just because you want to hear it. They genuinely want you to walk out happy with what youve bought.Too many times have I gone to a hobby/specialist store only to be met with blank stares, or confusion. This is NOT the case at Tri-Star, and I cant stress that enough. If skating interests you, check them out.

He also recommended trucks, wheels, and bearings that were reasonably priced, and did not try to up-sell or gouge us.Ben was very informative and encouraging. Really cool park just never understood why they dont allow aggressive inline we do zero harm to the ramps and the very few of us that are still left are all older and respectful and know how to take turns and respect skateboarders otherwise good people cool place

THE skateboard shop between both coasts!! One of Cleveland’s best Mom&Pop shops. I wish a place like this existed when I was a kid; no shady vibes or attitudes, just a staff wanting to help grandmas & moms, to the hardcore gnarly old school guys, even collector nerds. Their prices r just to high, plus they discriminate, especially with Afro Americans. The plce at Towercity is ridiculous. First they had seating then they took it away. Theyre not accommodating to the disabled or handicap nd elderly!

Best shop hands down! This shop has a HUGE selection of decks, both shaped and pop, longboards, pads, trucks, wheels, tools, clothing and shoes. The park is a lot of fun (probably the best ramp Ive ever skated) and the staff is phenomenal! They are enthusiastic and helpful. They are passionate about skating and you can tell they love what they do. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by!

Cool place, nice and friendly employees

Great place for gear and to skate! My 10 year-old son was visiting from out of town and loved it. Great ramps and set up for kids and more experienced skaters alike. This was the first skate park weve been to that has low some low rails for him to grind. The staff was awesome on both of our visits. Any parent wanting to encourage their son or daughter to skateboard should take them here--very kid friendly and they offer lessons on the weekend. I wish they had a place like this in our home town. They (Sam, I think he is the owner) was very rude and dissrespectfull to me.He quoted me one price and then when I go to buy it he significantly up-charged.Then accuses me of nickel and diming. Great staff - great park (that spine is the best Ive ridden in over 20 years) - great selection to suit literally everyone - new and old school street and ramp riders, even longboarders. Gear and clothes. Good enough that we drive down from Buffalo NY a few times each year.

This shop is as good as it gets! Theres a huge selection of decks, trucks, wheels, bearings, rails, shoes, shirts, sweatshirts, everything! And they have an Awesome park in the same building. Youll fall in love with the spine ramp! Its perfect!

Theae people get what skateboarding is all about. Its great to see a place built by skaters for skaters. From the pro shop to the skateboard museum, they have everything you could ever need. They even have lessons for the kids, as well group skates for us old guys.

Great spot for skating and merchandise. Everyone is nice and supportive, great atmosphere.

This place is awesome. Tucked into an unassuming corner on Brookpark road is a most unexpected treasure of the Cleveland and NEO skateboard scene. Awesome selection, new school and old, clothes, shoes, hats, pins, pint glasses... And an awesome indoor park. The new owners are super cool. Stop by every time I’m in the area to see what’s new and just say high. Such a different experience than any other skate shop in the area. Refreshing to say the least. Family friendly and welcoming. Did I mention that they have EVERTHING!

Let me just say that this place is awesome! Any kind of skateboard or apparel for skating you can imagine. They actually have half ramps in the same building to practice on. Everyone working there knew exactly what they were talking about and we would definitely be back soon!!!

I have what some might call a bit of an obsessive collection of skateboards both old and new, and I will confess that I am ALWAYS looking for the best deal I can find. And, not coincidentally, the vast majority of the skateboard boxes in my storage room say Tri-Star on them. That says everything right there. These guys rock! Theyre ALWAYS willing to put together a package and give you a deal that beats the other guys. Quality, Selection, Price.... theres a few reasons I always end up being back here. And if youre a collector, and youre smart, then go in and get to know Sam, .... he keeps the good stuff in the back.... but if you twist his arm just a little... lets just say if he doesnt have it he will find it. But he probably has it! Been here wayyyy too much to admit to the wife, and will be back!

Have been to Tristar several times and is always an amazing experience with a knowlagable staff.. the skatepark is set up nice and one of the funnest mini ramps I’ve skated ... I usually take the 3 hour drive about 3 times a year to skate and talk skateboarding . The new addition of the website is a huge bonus

The shop has a wide selection of stuff ranging from oldschool to new.hardware, pads, clothes, shoes, stickers and other random accessories. Candy. Aw yeah.This is all well and good, but where the place really shines is the staff. You can buy stuff online. You cant buy a good staff/environment.Everyones knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. When youre doing a new setup, they are totally on top of helping you get it setup if you need them to. Its great that they also help bail people out if they need a new nut/bolt or replacement bushing in a pinch.Theyre also very welcoming to everyone and dont look down on people like me who suck.They do a lot to encourage new skaters, including lessons and special events.Last year, I got hurt pretty bad (my fault), and they were completely on top of helping with that, and asking how I was doing every time I popped in afterwards.The park is great too for Cleveland, where rain/snow happen about 90% of the time. Everythings well maintained and fun to learn on.Go give this place your money. You get free park sessions for buying stuff.Ignore that 1 star Perkins Family review. All skateboards get pressure tracks where the trucks mount. Welcome to skating around on a plank of wood with metal bolted to it.
