Be aware its going to cost you money to get into this place $3 if youre just hiking more if youre going to be hunting. Its definitely big and pretty peaceful but its not the most beautiful place Ive seen. Lake Louisa State Park right next door is much better. but I did stumble upon some guys who just bagged a deer so I guess there is wildlife here if thats your thing.

Went there today to check out the RV camping spots. Very nice area, Lake Louisa, which is part of a chain of lakes. RV camping, tent, and cabins. There is also a canteen for everyone, kayaks and 7 lakes. A very large State Park with many roads and trails. We spent a couple of hours taling it all in. Very beautiful area for relaxing.

Didnt bring out a deer but its always a great experience ..... seen pigs and lots of turkeys ..... and thank you for maintaining the roads ..... hope to be here again in the future......

Plentiful wildlife. Grounds kept either well maintained, or were left in the naturally intended form. Very nice and calming.

Great forest. The dove field is excellent and the land is beautiful.
