Small and intimate venue. Seats really are snug but no worse than economy on most airlines. Theres really only a couple bad seats in the house... One had zero leg room in row K seat 1 or 2 (I couldnt tell) the occupant literally had to sit sideways! Front row (center) had to shield their eyes from spotlights shining directly on their faces. Rooftop appetizers were non existent. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with paper and soap etc. Staff was courteous and helpful. Ushers are efficient and friendly. Valet was reasonable and super quick. Great concert. Would go again!

A super pleasant step back in time at this concert venue. Everything about this location was great, including convenient nearby parking (in the evening), responsible security measures, intimate concert environment, etc. Originally built in 1921, it was really nice to see that efforts were made to retain the original interior of the theater after almost 100 years in existence. The built-in architectural art history experience was definitely an added bonus.

A very intimate theater compared to most Tampa venues with no bad seats. The rows are a bit close together and the floor is not graded much so if you are taller make sure to get an aisle seat. Lots of great dining options nearby and if you are so inclined you can arrive by boat as the theater is only 2 blocks from the public docks.

This was my first time to attend this venue. Being a small venue, every seat seems relatively close to the stage compared to an arena. There are a few seats which have an obstructed view, but it alerts you on the website if you try to purchase those seats. There is a small rooftop lounge area which is a nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view prior to the show.

Love this Old School theater that has been preserved. Saw David Foster in concert & was glad I had a seat in row 23. Acoustics were good & I was close enough to the stage to really feel connected to the show. Dont think I would love sitting in the back of the theater but the balcony seats looked close enough.

The venue, lovely. The show, Lucinda Williams, pretty bad. She was a wreck, and sang depressing songs. The highlight: her band, but particularly her guitarist. One of the best Ive ever heard live. Either it was a bad night, shes about done, or her genre was lost on me. Im sure she has a fan base, but Im not in it.

The room was a good size. Seats were not cramped. The room has good accoustics. Even from the closest balcony seat most of the stage was visible. Parking was close and easily accessible. Only downside is their concessions is really small. I recommend getting a seat upstairs as there are bathrooms upstairs that less people use. Oh and their policy of only selling seats in pairs is a real pain in the neck.

Or join the Ruth Eckerd Hall Dress Circle and go into the private lounge on the second floor!!The center section is the way to go to see a show here. I also love the balcony seating where I usually dont have to worry about anyone standing up in front of me.The staff are all very nice and helpful.

Loved the venue. Great restaurant next door. Show was good. DONT SIT in 2nd section of the Mezzanine!!!Constant traffic in and out of the exit door was Sooo distracting. Paid a high premium for seats to see Lake Street Dive. Great band, sound was great. However the theater was an old movie theater. Seats are not ascending they are flat or level therefore the sight line are terrible. People stand up with no regard for those behind. Ushers make sure the isles are clear but do not ask seat guest to sit. Much yelling out to SIT DOWN I have no visual memory of my experience. Audio experience was great. Keep in mind there was a lower cost spot to stand in front of the stage the standingbbn people could have used. Theater made no effort to help with the problem. Also there was no air. When we asked they said. Well it all the people in here to which I responded you knew that when our you sold the tickets lastly, I was offered a warm 4$ water outside. To which I said enough!!

Tonight was my first time coming here for a concert. I prefer attending concerts at the Mid Florida Credit Union Ampitheatre but I really wanted to see the Gin Blossoms perform so I thought Id give this venue a try. I arrived super early and easily found public parking close by. I sat Orchestra Left, row E, seat 24 so I was right up against the wall. I only had online seating charts to go by but the theatre in person is a lot smaller than the photos online depict. It actually felt quite cozy and rather intimate a setting so that was cool. The only down side was that I didnt enjoy the show at all. Im not sure if it was the bands set up/performance or the venue layout/my seating choice but the music d idnt sound right, there was noticeable feedback during several songs, and many of the people sitting around me were complaining about their hearing towards the end of the show due to being right in front of the speakers. Ill definitely have to give this place another chance now that I know what to do to fully enjoy my next concert experience here.

Concerts at the Capitol are always a great experience. The venue is small and comfortable which makes for an intimate experience with the artists. The sound is amazing and never disappoints. The staff there is quick and friendly. They offer a ticket package that includes a voucher for dinner and a drink at the restaurant across the street before the concert, coupled with seats closer to the stage. I purchased the package and made reservations at the restaurant. The restaurant was clearly overbooked. It is a small restaurant with a bar and several 4 top tables. People who bought the dinner package were panicking with limited time to eat before the concert. People that were finished eating were not getting up. They were taking up the tables and camping until the concert started. Many voucher holders left to eat elsewhere. At one point the unorganized and overwhelmed hostess couldnt decide between seating us or another couple at the next empty table. I offered to sit together since all the tables were for four. The other couple (strangers) agreed and we ate dinner at a table together. We barely had enough time to eat and guzzle our drink before the show. If you buy the package get to the restaurant a couple hours before the show, dont leave the hostess stand and stay glued to your phone as they text you (maybe) or they pick whoever is standing close by to be seated! The food was good though. Extra drinks were very expensive and bar service was slow at the restaurant. Anyway the Capitol is a great venue. The bar service at the concert was quick and painless. Bathrooms were clean and no huge line The restaurant package needs to be dramatically improved on the restaurants part. I did get 2nd row seats by purchasing the package though so it was worth it to me.
