THANK YOU to whoever keeps this place up. So much fun. Huge stuff for advanced but also safe doable trails. A little scary but once u go through a few times safe enough. Wear a helmet for sure. Im having so much fun. Thanks again for keeping trail so maintained.

Great mountain bike trail! Really sad about all the development though. We must try and stop it, or atleast let them know how important the bike trails are to us!

Lots of climbing with roots galore but tons of fun. Probably was amazing at one time but doesnt seem to get maintenance regularly.

Technical, off camber roots and rocks, great climbs and downhills, rewarding trail when your done. You really feel like you have accomplished something. The bad news??,,, even though you feel like you rode much,,much more due to the level of attention it takes,,, theres not alot of miles,, so,,,,go forward and the turn around and ride the trail in the other direction,,your once uphill are now downhills. I highly recommend you ride it at least once,,you may add it to 1 of you regular rides

Pretty good trail system. Erosion has exposed a lot of roots so be aware.

Ive been looking for a new natural hiking trail to train on and just take a hike. Even though its designed for mountain bikes, its still a nice hiking trail for foot traffic. The trails are obviously a little narrow at places and its steep in some places but theyve made secondary loops to avoid the steep ones. There was random bits of litter but other than that, very nice for a weekend hike!

Fun trails. I caught it before spring really hit so maintenance has not been done yet. I can see the potential tho.

I love this trail. Its the closest to my home, so I ride it regularly. I need to join TORC and sign up for maintenance days, which I plan on doing early this Spring. It has a few technical, rooty climbs, but they are short punchy ones that still manage to get the heart rate up. The big drops and wall-ride need some love, but someone is adding to the clay jump line regularly. I would like to see the skills section return, and maybe add a few beginner jumps or tabletops.

It was a little too rough for my mountain bike but the Magnolia Trail was nice

I had a great time at Legend park because I experienced my first celery stick here. I am now enjoying life, and celery, and my lizard, Gwen. Gwen is addicted to ham but thats okay we are working on it. Anyways, I have to give it a 1 star rating because I didnt get to see a unicorn unlike the parks back in Czechoslovakia.

Great place for activities for the kids. Walking trails were a bit confusing to locate. They were mixed in with the bike trails. Really pretty lake though.

A good amount of trails in a small area with a variety of difficulties geared towards mountain biking. Non peak times are pretty good for a hike or a dog walk bit peak times are best left to the mountain biking.

Absolutely fun to walk in. It is kept so clean- for kids to play baseball...and my dogs love it too. (Cleaning up after them is preferred)Thanks to the town of Clayton!

Did this trail today, its short and sweat, I am not a NC native so i dont ride here, but when visting family a bring my bike and do this trail. It is marked and maintained. It has a cool drop with a large wooden berm along with climbs and decents. Its about 6 miles so i rode some sections twice to get a work out. Well worth the 40 min drive.

Visit Trianglemtb.com to check the trail status. No atvs or dirtbikes. Only the trails south of the new greenway and ball field are open. Do not cross the greenway. These are known as the Upper trails. Park at the back of the grassy lot behind the Clayton Swim Club to access the trailhead. Do not park at the ball field!!!When compared to other Triangle trails, these are considered solid intermediate level. These trails are old and rooty and are kept that way to have a challenging trail on this side of the Triangle. These trails are not like the sanitized flow trails that keep popping up everywhere. Lycra-wearin Power Rangers are rarely seen here. The trails provide riders with a variety of challenges and actually flow extremely well once you learn how to ride here. I can get through most of the Upper trails with minimal pedalling, which is why Im still fat even though I ride here twice a week. I ride all of the wood structures with no issues. There are about 3-4 miles of trail left here, but most of the trails flow well in both directions. I usually get about 8 miles of riding by stringing various loops together. I kind of think of this place as a bike park- go ride the fun stuff and do laps.Even though Ive been riding here for years, there are some sections that still get me white knuckling my grips and reaching for the coward levers.

Old school, technical mountain bike trails. Not the sanitized, flowy type trails that are popping up elsewhere. If you dont like roots and rocks, go somewhere else.
