My daughter and I attended Puffs at the Know Theatre. This theater is a gem! We enjoyed it so much. It is intimate and cozy. Not a bad seat in the house. Everyone was so nice. We loved the play and the actors were phenomenal. We will definitely be back.
Saw “Ada and the Engine” Saturday March 21, 2018. It was a wonderful cast! Great cozy theatre and the bar scene on the first floor was comfy and really brings you into the mood for some theatre. The tickets wee punch cards given to us at will call from buying online, very hip and cool, but not in the overly hipster kind of way.As a lover of the theatre and a high school thespian, it was great getting in touch with the arts here in Cincinnati.Perfect place to “Play”
There is literally always a production happening here. If its not a mainstage production, its an Underground production, or a festival, Serial, special event, special guest. They also over a Welcome Wednesday experience every Wednesday of their mainstage shows where a set number of walkup tickets are free and reserved are only $5. Well worth trying out to see a show youve never heard of.
Quaint little theater! Sits 100 in the theater with a bar and small stage for live music in the lower level. The play I attended The Puffs was a hilarious tongue in cheek Harry Potter-esk fan fiction. If all their original works are like this, i would be interested in attending more often.
Im a late convert to local, indie theater, but I have loved the productions that Ive seen at or produced by the Know Theatre. They are inventive, hilarious, and full of heart. I highly recommend experiencing it yourself.
I went to see Puffs on its second to last night. It was very enjoyable and humorous. I enjoyed a butterbeer at the bar to go along with the theme. Would go again for another show.
Ive been coming here for the past year and a half and the atmosphere and programs are great! The main stage shows are good, but the special events like the Fringe Festival in the beginning of June and the One Minute Play Festival in the beginning of August are amazingly interesting.
It was amazing and very fun. Not only is it beautifully decorated but they perform great shows. The only complaint is that it is a little humid inside
I love that after leaving the show, I was immediately in a cozy bar. Itd be a great place to debrief and chat with other patrons about the show
The Know Theatre Fringe Festival is a fantastic event with theatrical happenings for all ages and tastes. I highly recommend going to the Fringe. Youll be surprised, delighted and glad you did.
Great little theater in one of Cincinnatis hottest neighborhoods (lots of options for dinner & drinks before or after the shows). They offer more cutting edge shows than some of the other neighborhood theaters, which means the shows can sometimes be a little hit or miss. Regardless, though, its pretty much always worth the experience. Tickets are considerably cheaper than the bigger theaters around, which makes it worth the gamble.
The Know Theater is a Cincinnati treasure! Superb shows make for a memorable date night!
Home of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and other also plays throughout the year. I have now been to 2 plays and 6 shows during the Fringe. Always have been well done shows, that are quirky. I also did New years eve party it was a very good balance of entertainment and fun with the music not so loud that you cant still talk. They offer nights that you can see shows for free if you cant afford to pay and they also offer for you to pay more if you can afford to do so also. They truly have a good feel for making theater a part of the community. Overall I wish Cincinnati had more places like this and a bigger theater community. This place is definitely a good start and is doing a fine job of doing everything I have seen them do so far.
Really loved the atmosphere! It really feels like an urban Theatre in the middle of this really up-and-coming area. They have a bar if youre looking to get a drink, but I would avoid it if youre actually going to see a performance. I went to see Calculus the Musical, and they did a great job (well worth the 15 dollar price of admission).
We attend the Fringe Festival every year. Lots of talentented people and inovative performance art. You never know what to expect, some shows are fantastic, some are bizarre. Always a memorable experience.
Absolutely a blast. Fun atmosphere, the entrainment was great and the people were friendly!
Saw Puffs here and loved it!
Cool space. Progressive programming. THE place to go for cutting edge new works in Cincinnati.
Cintindependant Film Festival Script Readings were good.

Great foe edgy plays from up and coming talent!
Small theater in a great location and within walking distance to restaurants and a couple bars! The theater has a bar so you can enjoy a drink during a play! Great atmosphere!
Great show and great drink prices!
Went to a local improv jam here. Loved the space and creative energy! Bar was good and bartenders were fun and helpful. The event was a blast too. Great if youre looking for a fun, colorful time and dont mind smaller, cozy theatres with personality.
Ive only been in the basement theatre, but I love the serials and recently stopped in the see the Play True That and it was fantastic and thoughtful! I like that they have a bar in the theatre and the people that work their are very welcoming. I look forward to the next show!
One of my favorite theaters in Cincinnati. They do a lot with limited props.
Wow I love this place. Great little bar and a great performance. I was there for Neverwhere and I had a blast. Very unique little theater and I will definitely be going back.
Great venue and organization.
This place has great shows and a stellar bar.
Such a great indie theater. Love it
I was able to get front row seats (basically ON the stage) for Neverwhere. Absolutely cannot wait to go back and see what else they have going on. A+ experience.
Great small theatre!
Wasnt quite my
Weve seen so many great shows here, love the Know!
Invited to a play it was wonderful
Its an intimate theatre that produces edgy work and hosts the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, which is a blast!
Unique and provocative storytelling. Visionary sets. Fine affordable theatre.
The Know Theatre of Cincinnati is a great venue for live theatre and other fun events in the OTR. The main theatre is upstairs. It is assessable by elevator for those that need it. The theatre space is very adaptable making it a place to see very unique & creative productions at a very reasonable price. It is at the bar area where there is a small stage and there are constantly fun and interesting activities. Every year they put on the Cincinnati Fringe Festival at the end of May with show venues all over the OTR. #knowtheatrecincy
Awesome atmosphere and very hospitable service. Had a great time here!
The show was good, the seats not so much. The bar area is not to my taste. The beer (in cans) is pretty undrinkable, but costs $5/can.
The Know Theatre is always great. The entertainment is always a good time, andthe bartenders know their way around a cocktail,
Love this place! Always great entertainment.
Ive been to several interesting and creative shows. Tickets are very affordable and the brunch shows are fantastic!
A fantastic place to watch amazing, fun and important art that matters.
Interesting plays. They do a lot with very limited funds.
Great experience at the Know Theatre. Great cast and did a great performance of Neverwhere!
This place has great shows and a stellar bar.
Great production of Neil Gaimans Neverwhere, staff was attentive to any concerns, awesome space, could use be better seating (chairs are a bit flat)
Great experience every time!
One of my favorite theaters in Cincinnati. They do a lot with limited props.
Recently saw Super True, which was super timely, super timeless and super well done.
Friendly staff, nice bar, close parking, and attractive place. Will definitely be going back.
One of the best bars to explore if youre looking for the bridge into the art scene of Over the Rhine neighborhood.
Contemporary theater that you wont find anyplace else in town.
A place made up of unique and memorable experiences, welcoming and talented people, and ridiculously good theatre.
Cool theatre, with good variety of shows.
Great spot for local shows at wonderful prices!
Get there early to claim a good seat. If not, you will be stuck in the back where its hard to see.
The facility is fun and the productions are wonderful.
