Powell Crosley is doing a great job allowing a workout while safe distancing. I appreciate the card which let you know if a machine is ready for use and I appreciate them using all available space to spread the machines out.

This was my first time here. The staff are great, I love how big the work out room is. My daughter was there for gymnastics which I never knew they had. They have quite the set up and the staff were great with the kids, even the little ones and very patient.

Great equipment. The space is welcoming. There are always people mingling in the front, it feels like a well-loved place for people to meet. The pool is nice, inside and outside. The group classes are great. The instructor I go to is Tammy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. She is great at motivating and I like her choice of music. Thank you, Clippard YMCA.

I like the multiple swimming pools. I have visited the water park and the outdoor pool so far. Fun water slide! I want to come back to play racquetball and sand volleyball once I can get my friends to attend this Y, or once I make friends with people who already attend the Y. I also appreciate having the swimsuit drying machine in the locker room!

Tried the 3 yr old gymnastics class and you definitly get what you pay for. We previously went to gym skills in blue ash and loved it but since we live right down the road from here we decided to give it a shot. Teacher did not introduce herself. There were only 3 kids and I rarely heard her talk to them. They were running around like crazy with very little direction or organization. She had my 3 yr walk across the beam by herself, that is taller than her, on her third attempt, and walked away to help another kid leaving her up there alone. This program is not nearly as kid friendly, fun, and vibrant as I assumed it would be. I dont recommend. Only getting 2 stars for the friendly front desk staff.

My girls participated in the preschool gymnastics. I love the affordability, the small class size, and the developmental appropriateness of the activities. My children learned, gained strength, and improved coordination. The progression of activities was also fun to watch. Each activity had purpose. I have recommended this program to all my friends!

This review is based on my first and only visit. I used child care and the treadmill. I went on a very rainy Friday night in October. My son was only one of a few in childcare. While there was one gentleman “working” (sitting in a rocking chair playing on his phone) there was a friendly woman who got me signed in. And when I returned I saw that my son was talking and interacting with her. She was friendly and helpful and put me at ease. The fitness facility is a nice size. Certainly not the biggest I’ve seen, but far from the smallest. More importantly, it felt relatively clean and new. The treadmill was the same I’ve used at other locations. Thank goodness I could watch Food Network. Lol.I’m sure I’ll return again!

Every time I try to swim at this locAtion it is a game to actually get into the pool. Either The swim team hogs half of the pool or the people at the front desk won’t tell you the schedule or there are elderly people just floating in the lanes without any intentions of swimming laps. People just cut in front of others that are patiently waiting for a lane too. The pool is poorly managed and based only around swim team. The coach showers in the kids locker room too.

With the help of the Powell Crosley YMCA staff I am achieving my physical mobility goals and having a great experience with the entire YMCA community!

Review №25

I have a membership to this YMCA to swim laps in the pool but unfortunately I never can because swim team takes over majority of the pool and the remaining pool area consists of people that don’t even swim laps and just stand in the lanes. It’s a waste of your time and money to come here to swim. It’s more of a inconvenience to come here than it is a convenience. The lifeguards do not do their jobs once swim team comes around.

Great experience with attending a birthday party. With that being said the height requirement should come with exceptions. For example: our son is on swim team, level 2, at our y in Columbus. He is 1/2 too short to slide down the slide, mins you he went down 4 times before he was told he was too short. Even sent down the slide by the lady who told him he was too short, apparently its not TOO unsafe for him then. He wears a green band which means he can be anywhere in the pool...the slide is anywhere in the pool. Manufacturer rules are a lame excuse for something this YMCA needs to revisit rules for. Green band swimmers should be able to go anywhere including the slide...you need to save yourself at the bottom, which is the whole point of the height requirement. Also, note the lady who was very nasty about relaying the rules grabbed my son by the arms and pulled him over putting him rather roughly up against the wall the measure him. At this point mama and wasnt very happy and easy going. At least I didnt yell...but inside I wanted to. Changes can be made.

As an out of towner who doesnt normally go to the Y, I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean the facility was and how accommodating the staff is! I came for two days while we were in town for a Jimmy Buffett concert. As a competitive bodybuilder it can be hard to find a place that has everything you need, but it was nice to see I didnt have to make hardly any alterations to my routine here. Debbie at the front desk was super nice and helpful, and even offered me her guest pass and a lock to borrow to put my stuff away! I chatted with Karen who has been there for 22 years teaching pool fitness classes and she was a very sweet lady as well. It is so nice to see another gym that makes a stranger feel welcome. Highly recommend this facility and definitely intend on coming back next month!

DO NOT GO HERE!Repairs are awful. Things stay broken for months!Sana is broken for 3 months at a time The pool is top priority but only to the swim team. You will often find you cant swim because the swim team is there and then the pools for the most part is closed to the normal members. The YMCA is not what it once was. This particular location caters to the Wyoming schools swim team. They receive special funding from them. The gym is substandard compared to every day health clubs/fitness centers. Worn equipment and stays out of order. For the money there are much better places to go. Not everything is negative about this YMCA, lots of good people there but their under some poor management. Please save your money and check out other options or another YMCA.
