Great community park overlooking the Otay Lakes and mountains. The views are beautiful. The bad parts of the park is that vandalism, trash, and poor maintenance become the bigger issues that ruin the beauty of the park.During the pandemic: Few people are wearing face coverings, yet social distancing is not followed if not from the same household. Poor maintenance of the park is seen at the moment. Pesky weeds, trash cans full, and trash strewn near the trails or off the side of the trails.

This is a Great Park to bring your family, Sit and relax, exercise, fly a drone, play Pokemon Go (yes some of us still play it). There are trails for walking and running. There are 3 Gazebos you can rent. There are cement tables all over the place. There are play areas for Small kids, and even a water fountain that comes out of the ground. And the View Of the lake is Great! I love going there sometimes and just look over the water. Check out this park its Great!.

Celebrated my sons first birthday at Gazebo 1. We absolutely loved it. Beautiful view, splash pad, and nice playground. My only concern would be the rest rooms dont have doors, but other than that I still rate this park 5 stars. Definitely worth the money we spent to reserve this location.

This is a really nice park. It has lots of open grass area, a playground for the kiddos, many tables & benches - some of which are set off from the others for parties or e events - and a super neat ground fountain that kids & dogs like to play in on hot days. Oh, and the view of Otay Lakes is spectacular! The only reason this park doesnt get 5 stars from me is that something always seems to be out of order here. The last time I was there, the fountain and the drinking fountain werent working.

This park is really fun and great for the family. Playground for kids, wonderful view of the lake and mountains. Public restrooms, water fountains for kids (certain times of the year) basketball courts, covered areas for events. It does get busy with families, but almost everyone has been kind and just looking to have fun with their kids as well.

Great park! The spray pad area is smaller than what I thought it would be but it was nice on a hot day. You should tell your child to not run/walk fast or they will fall. There are play structures for young and older children. There are lots of picnic tables, bbqs, trees for shade. The grass is soft but small ants did get on us from the grass. Gorgeous view. Diverse set of people use the park. There is a basketball court. Bathroom has 3 stalls with no doors.

I have been taken my kids out to this park since they were little. They love the water area, play football and just simply walk.I love the views and the stillness in the mornings. This park ir an awesome park, the people in the neighborhood are awesome. We have a wonderful spot that we take advantage of every time we have a party or a special thing to do with the family. We all bring food, desserts, and we get all together. This is such a versatile park. We have played Bolchi, Football, kites, volley ball, ran, hide and seek, just simply walk and we always have such a great time. The kids love it every time we get to the park. Couple times we have used the park for my company parties. Is a big family and it is always good music, food, entertainment and much more. It is a dog friendly park as long as the dogs are on a leash, there is Handicap parking spots and it does has small parking area yet you can park on the street and it is not so bad. Come and join is!

Very peaceful park. PACKED on weekends whenever theres a party. The grass area WINS. Its a great big area with plenty of room for LOTS of people. Often though, the park is usually being used by a handful of folks so it feels like all this space is for you. This is a good park to run sprints on the grass. Theres a good playground and basketball courts. The special feature of this park is the view of Otay Lake. Its a peaceful and calm scene to look at.You can occasionally see people jumping out of planes and landing with their parachutes. At night, this is a good place to view the stars away from the city lights. PEACE is the word of the day with Mountain Hawk Park.Come here to meditate.

We have used this park for different family reunions and always had lots of fun. To start, is has a good size parking lot, which is convenient, there are plenty of trees and grass areas where you can setup a tent, as well as gazebos that you can rent through the City of Chula Vista if you want a reserved area, or your party is larger than usual. The splash pad is a kids favorite, where they can play with water all day. Highly recommended are the trails with the lake view, and the sunsets, which are nice.

This is a good park for little one and older ones. It has two separate okay grounds. Most kids are really nice and polite here. It has a great view and small trail of Lower Otay Lake. One thing thats not so great is it gets really busy Durning holiday weekends it brings some not so polite people, mainly a lot of littering and left food. Also during those times people dont watch there kids as well, so they kind of just run amok.
