Beautiful aircrafts on display and I am glad and grateful that I got to visit this museum along with my family. Thankful for the men and women in the armed forces that make it possible for us to enjoy these things. Special thanks to Jim, friends and family that have served and will forever have our respect. Such thrill to be standing next to some of these birds. Great place to come with the family.

We visited the Yanks Air Museum during the Haunted Halloween Hunt. We had a BLAST!! My boys, 7yo and 9yo, loved the alien theme and had so much fun doing the scavenger hunt. Not to mention, the planes are so well kept. The staff was amazing! Everyone was helpful! There mustve been another event going on, because we saw a lot of Veterans while we were there. Also very cool for the kids to meet Vets and enjoy the museum with them!

In the area for other reasons, but hold aviation as an interest.Easy to locate, in the agricultural area near Chino.Friendly greetings and an explanation of the layout, before getting to the exhibition areas.Impressive collection, nicely annotated near each aircraft.Displays lean towards the authentic, more than glowing improbably and better for it.Labour of love written all over the place. The “boneyard “ where the exhausted and donor aircraft reside, fascinating on its own.Kudos to all involved, interesting and well presented. If you’re in the area, very highly recommended!

Went to Yanks and planes of Fame because of their close proximity. It was a pleasant surprise. Both had interesting displays and if you go third weekend in a month, the Jenny is open for an inside tour. I actually thought these two museums were better and more interesting than March air Field museum.

Last time I visited was over 10 years ago and what a change! This place has grown and improved ten-fold. The first hangar holds the aircraft from the 1900s till late 1940s, the second is a gem full of cold war jets restored to excellent condition (and not all USAF/USN, there was an RAF Harrier and Taiwanese Freedom Fighter) plus some Vietnam era a/c and a smattering of other types including a couple of nice Grumman amphibians. Next one is taken into the restoration hangar, which is a full working environment. Outside the hangars are the a/c that are probably next in line for restoration and then beyond that is the bone yard so reminiscent of the storage areas around Tuscon some 30 years ago.

If you have the airplane bug, you have to visit Yanks at Cal Aero field in Chino, CA. On display is a wide selection of aircraft ranging from the beginning of flight to the present, with many secondary displays featuring often overlooked support equipment, like control tower radios and ejection seats. Helicopters are well represented, as well as drones and amphibious aircraft. The outside storage area, known asThe Boneyard, offers many additional delights awaiting restoration. There is an active restoration area that you can walk through, showing the craftsmanship and attention to detail applied to each restoration. Connie the cat is the official greeter in the shop, and is very friendly. The big highlight was talking with Joe in the shop, sharing his passion with me and making sure I saw all the rarities hiding in the Boneyard, like the Ford trimotor. Joe was very gracious, being so generous with his time. I know Ill be back for another visit. Highly recommended!

I was so impressed by the selection of aircraft at Yanks Air Museum. I was so happy to see the UH-1 Huey there as my grandfather was a pilot of this helicopter. I believe there are over 200 aircraft. They have a boneyard and restoration area where you can see the mechanics restoring the aircraft - its very impressive. They also have a cute (aviation-themed) kids ride (first ride is free).

Yanks Air Museum has a warm atmosphere and is a great place to learn new things about American Aviation History. This is our museum, our responsibility, to remember the past and preserve the memory. -James

Used to stop here all the time before heading to the Planes of Fame Airshow. I come to the air show to watch planes fly and talk to youngsters who are interested in seeing planes do what they do best FLY. Im a WWII Tuskegee Airmen Red Tail Pilot, Korea and Vietnam was veteran. The Airshow is a great place to meet up with my old flying buddies and remember what it was like to be in our particular aircraft. I cannot understand how your love for aviation and how many new customers will see your museum during the Airshow can be any better without it. I hope the courts listen to the public because this Airshow brings more business to others and the city than to worry about little ole you. Pull up your big boy pants and let the Airshow make continue until then I will not be coming to your establishment

Sorry I cant recommend Yanks Air Museum, even though I am a huge supporter of Aviation Museums. The recent lawsuit against Planes of Fame Air Museum and its airshow have shed a true negative light on this museum. News travels fast in the aviation community. Aviation enthusiasts and history buffs here in Arizona wont be supporting travel to this museum after learning about its most recent action. Yanks Air Museum is obviously not a true supporter of the preservation of aviation history. Nobody in the community wants to freely support such a negative establishment.

The most complete collection of American aircraft across the span of aviation anywhere. Their goal is to have every aircraft flyable and as close to original as possible. Their focus is on aviation technology and includes everything from Target drones to rockets. As you read the reviews, you will notice almost exclusively 5 star and 1 star ratings. The 5 star ratings are from people that have visited Yanks Air Museum. The 1 star are from angry, misinformed friends of the other air museum that are just out to hurt Yanks. Pathetic really, if they were actually rating Yanks as a museum - they would have to admit Yanks is the better mueum.

Very sad to see a supposed air museum using the courts to attack a well run, historically important, and extremely popular air show. These people are an example of what is going wrong with our country now. Im sure they sit around at night in their homes and express disgust about what our infighting lawyer/politicians are doing, and then they come into work and hire lawyers to start a legal fight because they dont want to be inconvenienced by an air show at the airport. Now who is disgusting?

Yanks neighbor Planes of Fame holds one of the best airshows in the nation. Yanks got jealous and decided to bring forth a frivolous lawsuit. Yanks has made it clear that they are jealous jerks and do not actually care about aviation. Their lawsuit is taking away funds that should be used for the preservation of history. If you give Yanks any money, then you are hurting the preservation of history. Its a same that such a nice museum is run by such horrible excuses for human beings.

SL

Yanks Air Museum has filed a strategically timed lawsuit against Planes of Fame in an attempt to halt one of the most popular air shows in California. It has nothing to do with money, as they are open every air show, Yanks Museum is the first museum you come across when entering the event and most of the event parking is directly in front of their museum.
