Near Chillicothe Ohio a great place to visit, admission is very modest, with children and senior discounts. Visa,Mastercard, and Discover are accepted. A nice gift shop and at the time of our visit even had some vegetables from the grounds garden for sell.No picturea are allowed inside the mansion and they do ask you silence your phones please.Home was air conditioned and was very comfortable. Our tour guide was very informative and was more than happy to answer questions. Strictly no touch of anything in the home. The grounds are fair game for pictures and the large gardens provide plenty of opportunities for taking pictures.A half day could be spent here easily and they do also have a museum inside rhe welcome center that you should definitely walk through. We actually learned a lot from our tour and we are very happy we stopped by.

Loved our visit! Here is some important information to make your visit go as well as possible.1. Wear good walking shoes. Youll be doing a lot of it.2. $10 per adult to get in. (2019)3. You can take a self guided voice tour of the grounds. Youll need to download the free Uniguide app for your cell phone.4. Sadly, no pictures in the mansion. Thats a shame because if they allowed people to take a post pics, theyd probably get more traffic.5. Bring water and snacks or a picnic lunch. The neartest restaurant (Subway) is 5 mintues away.6. You check in at the interpretive center and then walk to the mansion. There is only handicap parking close to the mansion.

Well maintained historical place. Ohio History connection organization kept this mansion very well. So many old artifacts you can find there. Our tour guide lady was so good she shared all the information about the Mansion and Thomas Worthington and his family.

For a place built in 1807, this home is in amazingly good condition. Seeing the home of Ohios first US Senator is worth the trip. The tour guide gave us lots of historical perspective.

We were at Adena Mansion today for a wreath workshop. This is our third year in a row and we love it! They supply everything you need, ribbons, hot glue gun and a huge selection of dried and fresh gatherings/plants from their grounds. The staff is great! Well be back next year!

Beautiful historic house and grounds that dates to the early 1800s. House is well preserved with period furniture. Tour guides are excellent and give a lot of interesting information on Thomas Worthington, one of Ohios founding fathers, and his interactions with many important figures of the time like William Henry Harrison and Tecumseh. A very nice interactive museum is on the campus and the grounds are perfect for a picnic. A great day trip for the whole family.

Very nicely done mansion tour. The gardens are nice if a bit overgrown but the trails and labels of different buildings are good. The museum is well done and informative. Im not from Ohio but its always interesting to learn some history. Well worth a visit by anyone.

Museum is very good. House is also really cool; the pacing of the tour is a little bit on the slow side. Grounds involve a fair amount of walking. Strollers are permitted in the museum and on the grounds, but not inside the house. Price is a little steep for an individual attraction; well worth a stop if it is covered by a membership (such as Ohio History Connection).

NO ONE WAS / IS ALLOWED CUPS OR BOTTLES OF ANY LIQUID INSIDE ANY WHERE..... NO EVEN CHEWING GUM !!! U better believe it n the staff is very strict on all rules .. not so fun outside when its 90 plus ...........our church group was there today ( 7/12/19 )
