I love this place, it is a great piece of Chico history, fun events and wonderful employees!

Acoustics werent the best for the two bands I saw there, but a great old theater.

Tonight I went and saw the Brad Williams Comedy Show, I absolutely had an amazing time. Williams was hilarious and the theater was nice. I do like how the walls are painted, I do have to admit that it did get a bit hot due to no AC, but Im used to that, they did have numerous fans and other cooling systems implemented. Overall, this business is perfect and I will certainly be returning.

I attended a Student Rally by Truth Church Chico, the event is getting so big that they decided to use this venue. I hope they have it here every year. This place is pretty awesome

Awesome great place for live music this is my second time and enjoyed just as much as the first time.

I love an old theater, and we are lucky to have this one right downtown. When I was a kid I saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre here when they still showed movies, and a few years ago I saw a Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers concert. Ill be attending a comedy show here in April. They do sell alcohol and beverages but I recommend eating at a local restaurant within walking distance prior to a show.

Such an iconic downtown venue! I recommend eating and drinking before you arrive as its slim pickings once you get there.

We saw Pavlo tonight at the El Ray. What a great performance. By amazing artist.

Come on, i saw Brad Williams! Fuh Nee! No A/C was pretty warm. But they ran lots of fans and portable A/C units.Lots of great shows I have watched there including, the 1977 STAR WARS when it was a movie theater.

Caught a comedy show here for the first time. The theater is spread out well to where if you sit high up you can still clearly see the stage. Great place.

Show was outstanding. I should have sat in theater seats, because they had plastic chairs in the front rows that were uncomfortable

Awesome show, horrid seats. Paid premium price and had plastic folding chairs while all seats that paid less had cushy theater seating. Avoid the ElRey and see them elsewhere.

Run down in a fun vintage sort of way. Keeps brining in great shows!!!

Attended a silent disco at th El Rey. I thought it was a great event. The fans and large A/C units helped, but it was still hot ! Would love to attend another one in the winter.

Love what they have done with this place. Such a nice and fun venue.

I like the shows they put on. Movie nights are fun. They offer a few drink and snack choices. But the building looks like its rotting and the bathrooms are disgusting. Wish someone would clean it up because it could be a really beautiful theater.

Great place to see music and movie. Been a social gathering for local celebrations.its been newly renovated. Beautiful on the inside. More than one might expect. It is an asset to out community.

Preserved old theatre... In a very cool town. All sorts of shows. Usually local brews to imbibe.

Classic old theater in downtown I have seen some really great bands the acoustics are awesome as long as they are set up right You just never know who you will see perform their next so keep your eye on their website

1900s era movie theater, converted to movies, live music and meeting Auditorium. Bar serves beer, wine and soft drinks, and heated snacks. Entrance has no steps other than the curb; but has very steep ramps entering the theater. Will require assistance or motorization.

Great place for live entertainment. A little hot but the new owner is still working on the restoration project. Its really a beautiful old theater.

Great place for comedy shows!!!

Best place in town for music, movies, lectures and performances. The interior murals and historic significance add a uniqueness to every event that really cant be found anywhere else.

Hands down best sound system and production in town. Not to mention their brick backdrop and murals give the venue such a cool vibe.

I had a great time at an EDM show here. However, you guys need to fix the air conditioning in this place. Everybody was suffering in this sold out show.

A work in progress. They theater is being restored to its glory days in what I interpret in an art deco style and new owners do not seem to be sparing the expense to make that happen.

It is an old theatre in Chico. This is where I watched my first movie in Chico or all of USA in 2015
