Nice! Too bad, can’t visit inside!

This is a beautiful, conveniently located venue. I have seen dozens of ballet and dance performances and authors speak here. Going to Tres Hombres across the street for dinner and a drink and then walking to the show is fun.

The floor outside still has ash on it- do not tread if barefoot.

Great place to hold a graduation or to watch theater.

It was a great show. The venue was interesting. The atmosphere lent itself to nostalgia. The seats were uncomfortable and I am only 58. They were a little close front to back so my legs got a little cramped. The people sitting in front of you can block your view to some degree. I enjoyed the show and the atmosphere, but the rest was difficult to get past for a long show.

Excellent place for acoustic based music, especially folk and classical. It can get a strong reverb if rock and roll is played at volume however5 stars for the building itself although the rows of seats are too narrow and knees will knock sitting attendees if trying to get to a center row seat.

Ive attended events at Laxson multiple times and I find for its age and comely appearance it holds fine acoustics, good seating and atmosphere.

Laxson Auditorium is AWESOME. They always have something at playing. Last play we saw was Mulan Jr(played by kids) with my childs class. They totally catered to the kids, and the main guy was very friendly. Will definitely be back! ️

It was amazing saw Tig Nataro great wo.an comedian. I know my face will hurt tomorrow 1 1/2 hours of non stop laughing.

Nice venue, parking may involve a short walk but usually not bad. Close to downtown. Lots of places to eat. Tickets are reasonable for the acts that appear here. Venue could use some new seats but overall a great value for the money.

Ive been here about a dozen times for shows and concerts in the last 10 years and every experience has been delightful. Beautiful interior and lovely grounds with artwork nearby.

This is a beautiful, midsized auditorium with great acoustics and a nice aire of local history. The sound team here consistently does fantastic work. You can order beer or wine in the lobby, but can only take drinks inside if theyre in a reusable plastic sippy cup - a one time purchase you can bring back.

Went with my sons class field trip. We saw the ugly duckling. My son and I really enjoyed it. They did a great job!

Great performance venue. Sound system issues sometimes and leg room is sparse.

Nice large College auditorium. Now serves snacks, beer and wine also. Seats are somewhat uncomfortable. Some have very little legroom.

My first time at Laxson, its beautiful inside, but Im a big guy and the seats are way too small. I would love to see a concert there, but it would be far too uncomfortable

The performance, sound, and workers were great. The building is beautiful outside and in, but the seats are tight. I felt a little claustrophobic.

This last time that I was at Laxson was to attend uncle dads art collective showcasing maddana. If you have never been to Laxson to see any kind of performance you are missing out. I have seen many performances there and Everytime it is a wonderfull experience. The staff is quite attentive and the hall is always meticulously kept and it smells good inside. I love this place and highly highly recommend it for couples, family or if your Rollin han solo. The acoustics are amazing and the lighting and seating is excellent. I find Laxson auditorium to be one of the northstates finer treasures indeed. Five stars all day long.

Laxson Auditorium is a very quaint setting perfect for the play that I saw there. Its not huge and everywhere is a good seat

Pretty good view from everywhere, even in the back. No railing to walk down the slopped alies.

Went for My Grandsons Graduation. The grounds were green and well maintained. The CSUC Laxson Auditorium was well maintained !

I have been coming to events at Laxson for nearly 30-years. Great location near downtown. Parking available on nearby blocks. But the one major negative: the seating arrangement/layout is antiquated, with seats positioned directly behind one another, making it difficult to see performers over and around the people sitting directly in front of you. And the flooring is minimally angled, i.e., too flat. The interior auditorium needs to be remodeled: off-set seating, and raise the angle of the floor from back-to-front. Laxson Auditorium should be designed much like the Paradise Performing Arts auditorium, where there is no bad seat in the house.

Pretty, historic, smaller theater on the edge of the Chico State campus. Easy to walk here from downtown Chico. Good schedule of live concerts.

The downstairs womens restroom only has 2 stalls. Which makes for long lines. In the lobby they sell soda, beer and wine, but you cant take it into the auditorium.
