I am basing my score on their service and their cod fish tacos alone. I would travel over an hour just to get their fish tacos and see that view. Yelp, they were that good.

This could be an amazing venue and place. The boat is beautiful and showcases astonishing views to Navy Pier and Chicago’s Skyline. However, the decks are not well maintained. If this is improved, it would be an amazing place.

The person should go here this place is magnificent a still here in only 12 years old and this is my 3rd or 4th week here and I think this career will stick with me

Restaurant is horrible! Overcooked meat - send it back once, then gave up. Indigestion for two days. I really expected better

As an invitee of members of the yacht clubI don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I have to be honest. Having reservations, we had a very nice table outside facing the southern exposure which included sail boats on their buoys, the breakwater and the Chicago skyline.After being seated, it was a half hour before anyone came to our table. The waitress showed up about an hour after we were seated. Water was poured and warm soft fragrant rolls laid down, not enough for seven people so we asked for another basket. The prime rib was delicious and served medium rare as ordered. My sweet potato fries came out cold and I sent them back. When they returned they were nice and hot. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food except one person who ordered the burger special.As a current home cook and former professional chef, I’ve never heard of putting coffee on a burger. It doesn’t seem right!One desert was ordered and it was incredibly delicious, caramel ice cream with a ring of chocolate creamy cake around the ice cream.The biggest shocker was the check, as two drinks cost more than the entree did. The tip is automatically added which I’ve never liked, because TIPS mean “to insure proper service.”When all was said and done my bill was $84.00 for two drinks and prime rib, for one person.The boat is a former ferry from Canada and our hostesses father was one of the crew that brought the ship down to Illinois. If you look at the picture of the bow, it will give you the general feeling of the overall boat. Service doors are left open, so one goes from some elegance to service door and back of the House disarray. I only give this very exclusive yacht club restaurant three stars for now.Like if you found this helpful.

The food and serice was superb. I did a wedding there and I have to say that this was an awesome experience ever! Jeremy and staff was awesome to work with and hope to work with them in the future!

A very friendly place with great views of the Chicago skyline & the fireworks on Wednesday & Saturday. Watching the sunset while having dinner outside on the deck is fantastic.

Pretty cool, pretty old

One of Chicago’s best kept secrets. I took skipjacks with the CYC and had a ball. Top notch sailing training, great food and an incredibly warm and fun atmosphere. The best part is the staff. Be prepared to fall in love with Willy and Braulio. Love this place and the people. Thanks CYC!

This boat is awesome! Spent the night on board with a Scouting event. Got to sleep under the Christmas Tree, like when I was little. The boat has beautiful wood throughout. Staff accommodating. The boat was exquisitely decorated! Great venue for our 250 person Scouting Event!

This is an old ship with an old interior. I had fish & chips. The coleslaw was excellent. The staff is great.

Wonderful place to learn to sailTook the skipjacks class and I do recommend it. All the skippers are very friendly and patient, you learn on a variety of boats and have fun afterwards in the bar. The bar is small, but has an excellent menu of both food and drinks. All in all, a great place.

Captain Rick was brilliant! The most relaxing two hours in a while out on Lake Michigan.

It would be great if there was any parking. Hard for older people to get there.

We were there for a wedding on a very, very hot day. The wedding was outside on the upper deck, under a vinyl tent (which just held the heat). It is a lovely place, with a beautiful backdrop the the Chicago skyline, however, it would have been much more tolerable in that heat if they had put in some large fans to circulate the-very still-air.

Kids had fun on the bridge. Though it is generally members only, we were there for an event. Some of the boat is done up real nice while other parts seem like they could use a sprucing up, left more akin to their general freighter-like condition.

The Yacht Club makes its home on a permanently-docked ship. For those who get seasick easily, you can barely feel the water below you. The interior on the second floor is beautiful and the views of the Chicago skyline from the port and starboard sides are fantastic.

Very intimate, members-only club. Great bar with very cheap drinks. Beautiful views from the harbor.

Columbia Yacht Club is a 7000 ton ship sitting at the foot of Randolph Street and Lake Shore Drive. Its an amazing venue and true Chicago icon! You can learn to sail, eat, drink and be merry during many events held there throughout the year. Its a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where you can be yourself and pursue the fine art of being on the water. As for food, they have the best ribs in the city and lots of other divine creations! It is a membership type of club; but there are a number of events there throughout the year which are open to the public. Theyd love to have you as a member whether youre a salty old sailor or if you simply have an interest and inclination to learn. Give them a call sometime and tell em youd like to check the place out with a tour of the Abby!

Great food. Nice views. Its a members only club, but you can still get in by hitting the buzzer.

Best view of Chicago is the dinning room on the bow in the summer. The bar in the stern is lively year round.

Cool clubhouse: an old car ferry with great atmosphere. Good food, beverages and service in the pub aft, and a surprisingly good value in Spanish Cava for brunch.The furnishings are luxurious, the atmosphere welcoming & genuinely nautical. The restaurant in the bow is top-notch, with an early-20th century class. They should turn the old Officers Cabins into B&B rooms, theyd be in high demand! Great deck midships for rent for weddings, etc.

We were there for brunch. The quality of food and options have gone down over the years, bit skyline view is great.

Columbia Yacht Club has amazing restaurant and bar, excellent on the water activities including youth sailing program and various club racing and events. Being a member of this yacht club is affordable and makes boating in Chicago a much better experience with everything thats offers including the club itself which is unique in a d of itself.
