Great show! Pretty cool to see the images shown on such a big scale. Plenty of room on the jetty to keep your social distance. Its a good opportunity to see Chicago lit up for Christmas on the riverwalk!

Beautiful part of the Riverwalk, with multiple spots for hanging out between the water bank vegetation. The are sitting and leaning areas.This part of the Riverwalk also have a shaded path under the W Wacker Dr promenade.At winter there wont be much vegetation unfortunately.During the evening there are some colorful lights next to the water, and a light show is projected on the Merchandise Mart building (not during Covid-19 time).

The River is beautiful right now with lots of kayaks and small boats. Not as many of the River Cruise boats due to the pandemic.

Love this riverside walkway! Below the street traffic with a different, floating type of traffic.

Beautiful place to walk, read, book a tour boat/canoe, have lunch, meet friends or just stare at the water ️! Public restroom were pristine.

Perfect place to view Art on the Mart

Beautiful wildlife, birds I have never seen before. Lots of people walking their furry companions. It is just a nice location to spend time, in the city.

At times there can be a plethora of people here. On top of that things can get pretty expensive.

Free fishing on Saturdays from 10-2!!! They have weekday fishing times as well. There are park staff on site to help with poles, bait, and unhooking the fish. Took my son here for his first fishing experience and he was hooked. Great time

The River Walk was one of the most fun activities that I did in Chicacgo- asides from Wrigley Field, Mannus, and Giordanos. Not only is it free, there are also boats that dock (sometimes with stars) along the river and some nice restaurants and/or wine/bars also. But you must being a camera! Because youll get great views of all of the iconic views, and architecture (for which Chicago is famous) of the buildings. If youre able, dont hesitate of taking a boa tour. Beautiful. I had one of my friends come from Berlin and was mesmerised by this.

Ive been coming here to eat lunch on Fridays during the summer and its a fantastic location. There are awesome views of the riverfront, bridges, and plenty of great people watching as Chicagoans and tourists alike go about their days. At this spot there are floating planters with native plants, nice benches facing the water, and relative quiet compared to the pop up restaurants further east. Great place to spend a few minutes or a couple hours.
