Great cpd ice skating classes, tennis, yoga and ballet. They are on a different schedule then the rest of the park districts so check their website for updates. Also great for open skate when available.

The only year round park district skating rink. Reasonable prices. Skate rental available. Classes and public open skating. Family bathroom, snacks, recycling, music piped into the skating rink, lockers. Water fountains, playground and some tennis courts outside.

McFetridge has the most passionate yoga instructors. Each and everyone brings 100% to their practice. Their guidance is very easy to understand. There is no judgement whether youre a beginner like me or a long time yogi.

McFetridge is an early voting site which is why we were there. It is a wonderful sports facility as well with tennis and an ice rink. One of its best features is lessons in a number of sports both for kids and grown-ups. Always a fun bee hive of people and activities!

I absolutely LOVE Mcfetridge! I have been going there for years, I took lessons as a kid and I go for Free skate on weekends. Great affordable price. It is indoor so it is year round. I always get a couple of friends and go for an hour. There is also indoor tennis and a gym! Great and well kept facility. Yes, there is a place to sit and wait if you dont want to go on the ice.

The place is great but now it is VERY hard to get a court. When going online, one is to sign up starting 7am. However, they are often already taken. It was more democratic when we had to sign up in person at 7am. Though a pain, you had a better chance of keeping others from cutting into the line.

Pretty good, a little cooler in the ice arena than were used to due to being closer to the ice and lower ceilings so be ready for that. Like that they have wooden benches as opposed to metal ones.

Great activity based fieldhouse in the city. It has a standard sized ice rink with multiple rows of seating. There are multiple indoor tennis courts and a fifty yard pool. There are numerous children activities provided and the center is open seven days a week from 6am to 11pm. There is lots of parking, a nice playground, and a regulation size hard surface baseball field that is handicap accessible.

Young ladies behind the counter arent qualified to work with people. Theyd probably fit better at a place like Taco Bell or Checkers. Nice ice rinks though!

Great place for indoor tennis. $52 for 2 hours. The reservation is bit annoying since too many people are competing.

As a rink, its fine. Onsite sharpening was okay. Concessions are closed and coffee machine is out of order. The park district needs to put some TLC into it for the home team, the Chicago Riverdogs.

Review №35

Another park district facility I remember as a kid when I used their tennis court (and found out that tennis, although fun, really wasnt something I was particularly great at), but how can you dislike an indoor sports facility that has a full-scale hockey rink? IIRC theres also an indoor jogging track as well, so theres not much they missed when they built this place.

Review №76

The most complete and best Chicago Park District facility.I play in a mens hockey league here and the ice is probably the best in Chicago, that includes Johnnys. We are last on the priority list for getting the ice but that is because there are great programs for kids including figure skating and the River Dogs youth hockey club.Beyond the programs there are open skating sessions and stick and puck on Sunday mornings if you would like to sharpen your hockey skills.Besides the ice rink there are indoor tennis courts, a gym with weights and now they even have yoga classes. It is well kept and seems pretty safe even late at night after our hockey games.Make sure to follow the facility on Facebook to get updates on the latest events or check their website frequently. It does cost money to use the facilities and take part in the programs so check the prices before you go.

Ma

Really affordable court rates, but thats the only special thing about it. Basically what youd expect from a public facility. Under construction too. There was no clearly visible clock on the courts so we had no idea how much time we had left.

As a family, we enjoy spending time at the sports center. My wife plays tennis on the courts, the kids love the skating rink, and our oldest is a regular on the basketball courts. My only complaint is the amount of time it takes to get here because of traffic. This is our familys goto place when its too cold outside to play.
