Fantastic Park. Unique structures for kids. this park seems to be the centerpiece of the Chicago Park District. Its clean well-maintained and safe. Theres something for all ages and also water attractions to keep cool during the hot days. There is an area devoted towards climbing and rollerblading. Rentals are available in the building in which you register. Public transportation is great here and there are parking options with several garages.

My first trip to San Francisco was amazing! My partner wanted to celebrate his birthday so we took a quick trip to the West Coast to visit friends. Ive traveled many places in my life but SF had one of the most picturesquely places Ive ventured. Golden Gate Bridge Park offered unparalleled views of nature. From the beautiful bay, to sea lions, whales, and a BEAUTIFUL sunset. We walked along a trail which wound its way around the beaches. We saw many people walking their dogs, exercising, boo-loving, and just having a really good time. If you are in the area I highly recommend going.

Great park with lots to do. Many areas for the kids and adults to get list in and enjoy. From a large rock climbing wall area, enclosed skate track, mini golf, smaller water features to cool off in, and loads of play sets. Also great area just to stroll around. Park district employees are on site to watch over and help out. Very friendly place to visit.

Loved the play area and had a truly wonderful time with the kids. I gave it 4 stars though because the bathrooms were across the park from the playgrounds and directions to them were not clearly marked. It was quite the stressful run when my toddler said he had to go potty. It would be much nicer if there was even just a single family bathroom in the playground area, especially since you want to change kids in and out of suits to use the splash pad.The area was clean, the equipment well maintained, the security staff very kind, and the grounds were beautiful. I would highly recommend visiting this park.

Maggie Daley Park has such a wonderful space for kids, and adults alike! There is an area with slides, rope climbing, and more accessible at no cost. There is also a very reasonably priced mini Golf area that is loads of fun for the entire family! For those who love to exercise in the morning, this park’s walking path is vast as Maggie Daley, Grant, and Millenium Parks are connected. Being able to walk through all the parks and have a diverse experience proves helpful for motivation! The scene is always changing! I found myself stopping to look at the many gardens, play area and stages!! It’s steps away from the lakeshore so the breeze is soothing for runners and walkers alike!Great for the entire family!

This is my favorite park in the city... OK, its because I can walk there in about 3-5 min flat. But it is really a great place to take the dogs for a walk, play a game of tennis, run, or play/watch a game of baseball. The park is fairly large and has a few baseball diamonds, tons of room for soccer, a nice playground (currently being renovated), a few nature preserve walks, tennis courts, and a football stadium with a track (open to the public when games are not being held). There is tons of parking on the side streets surrounding the park and a small lot off Damen.

Maggie Daley Park is by far the best outdoor kids play area in downtown Chicago. There are activities and play areas for every age group. The playground is free, but some of the other activities, such as mini golf, costs money. The weekends are very busy, so the earlier you get there the better. Also, if you have furry friends, you might want to leave them at home, this park doesnt allow dogs.

Maggie Daley Park is awesome! I like going ice skating here in the winter. Def the best ice skating rink in Chicago. There is some slight terrain so you can get some speed going downhill. There are railings along both sides too for people who are still learning how to skate. The lines can get very long, but if you have your own skates, you dont have to wait in line to rent skates. They also have a fast pass that you can buy to skip the line (but when its busy, it might not save you that much time). In the summer the park has a climbing wall and a huge park for kids. Its so much cooler than the old Daley Plaza - we used to skate at when I was growing up. Check out their Twitter page before you go or on warmer days to make sure that the ice rink is open.

This is one of the most stunning urban parks anywhere. The childrens play areas are loosely organized by age yet all of the areas have the most fantastic universal access design. What is universal access? Almost every feature can be accessed by kids of all abilities and wheelchairs. Instead of putting in easy access features off to the side as an afterthought, this park allows a child in a wheelchair or crutches to move around and play right next to your hyperactive 10 years old climber.

This place is a absolutely stunning place for every visitor and Chicagoans alike!!! There is a little for everyone! Family oriented, kid-friendly, romantic friendly, animal friendly, nature friendly; There is a little bit for everyone!!!!While many people with children find themselves at the park, there are a few quiet spots on the Randolf street side, across from Marianos. I love to read and I go there because it is almost always quiet, aside from festivals and other activities. Everyone is pretty friendly and respect your space. The view there is absolutely stunning! My favorite of a million favorites in Chicago; The view! For those of you who have children, I suggest doing what I do when I tag along my nephews nieces with me. ( After losing one for 8 minutes at Navy Piers Winter Wonderland). I tag all of them. I get these name tags and wrist bands and in permanent marker, I write a note something to the effect of If I am lost or in case if emergency call my guardian. I place two numbers, my own and another in case of emergency. I do not put the names of the kids however, for the wrong person can use that against them. Before any trip in public outings, I also have a pep talk from the smallest to the biggest. We go through the rules for fun, learning, and respect for others. The main one being if I can not see you and you can see me thats a problem. I also express to them, if they ever get lost, seek out a police officer or security guard, or a mommy and daddy whose together. If they must ask help from a daddy, ask help from a daddy who has children. And I tell them if a stranger calls them for no reason, scream, holler,... I also may place a tag inside their pants pockets in case they lose one. The bracelets are good because the stay on. Those are my suggestions, though for the most part, the park is safe. Also, if you get hungry, instead of buying food that costs and arm and a leg, get a healthy abs delicious meal at a sensible price from Marianos. And if you are a penny pincher, the best deal is right off Michigan and Randolf ( Metra Train Station), if you go downstairs. There is burger king, a subway, a pizza restaurant, a taco restaurant, a healthy shake place, and even a nice lounge for those of you who wants to take drink. It is a lovely place to be at all times.

The Maggie Daley (ribbon ice rink) was an interesting experience for me-- since I am not used to skating up and down hills. It was really fun to see the city as you skate around a squiggly path of ice, however, since it is so crowded, the ice gets shredded. When that happens, it is very hard to try to skate without falling. Also, the shredded ice takes awhile for the zamboni to smooth out. Still I guess its not the parks fault that everyone wants to visit it.
