My husband, son and I loved our visit to The Bean a few years ago and would love to go back for another visit. This is a must-see when you are visiting Chicago. Its a city landmark- the center piece of the city and the photos always turn out amazing! Its such an interesting shape and sculpture- simple yet amazing! You could spend hours looking at it from every angle.

A classic Chicago landmark, and an interesting sculpture. Kids especially love the reflections so enjoy running through and around it. Its simple yet serves as a centerpiece and magnet for the area, which is spacious and grand. Only wish there was more greenery around instead of just gray concrete.

The Bean is still a magical place to visit in Chicago. Although people are not allowed to get too close (due to Covid), photos are welcomed and encouraged. Please wear a mask and enjoy your visit; Chicago is a wonderful place to live and work! If you visiting, please be respectful and adhere to all physical distancing rules/recommendations. Chicago was, is and will be (always) my kind of town! I Chicago!

I travel to Chicago plenty of times and I always enjoy going to this location. Cloud Gate is a reflective art sculpture that is extremely popular to tourists all over the world and is a great place for a photo or two! I recommend that if you want to visit it, consider going during the winter time. During the summer, it gets crowded easily and will be complicated to take photos. Plus, having snow falling off the Bean is better in my opinion.

I went there the second week of October 2019 (week day) and it was fine, not much people around, everyone taking turns to take their pictures and wearing face masks. It gets a little more crowded on the weekends, so be aware. Maybe wearing gloves will be a good idea because Chicago is cold on October, I can’t imagine the winter in that city. Recommendation, pictures are nicer from the sides than the middle.

This is iconic spot in Chicago and is located in millennium park. Walkable distance from downtown river walk..Definitely must go place for Chicago visit although barriers were placed due to covid-19.Fun fact -Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece at Millennium Park. Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed The Bean because of its shape, a name Kapoor initially disliked, but later grew fond of.

We visited this place on September 20th 2017 when we were visiting relatives in Chicago.Evenn as we entered a group with Peace placards asked us to join them and we were only to happy to be part of Mission Peace. We then had a look at the semi circular stainless steel piece of art called Cloud Gate or Bean.Designed by Indian origin artist Anish Kapoor this structure reflected and distorted the high rises in the vicinity. We had fun looking at ourselves in the structure and felt it at all angles. Inspite of it being a sunny day the structure felt cold.We had a lot of photos taken and enjoyed looking around. As we headed out we saw kids splashing water and getting wet from water coming from a high rise building. It was a worthwhile visit and remains etched in our memory.

Maybe a refresher was due but, l really love this work by Anish Kapoor!Cloudgate, now l know, all this time l thought it was named The Bean! Cloudgate makes sense! Inspired by liquid mercury this sculpture aims to be a fixture that reflects its surrounds not only the outer areas but also under its arch where we can catch changing reflections of ourselves!I wonder what the other 29 odd entries to win the bid for this commission were like, my guess is, the best choice was made!
