Nice view and good place to relax and enjoy the lake. When its open there is good jerk dinners being sod in the parking lot. Plus Reggies in the Building has good food.

I really loved this place, it was wonderful to visit. The building was beautiful and the hidden fountain was so cool. I recommend always riding a bike to the beaches as the lots are always full, and this place was no exception. The police had blocked the entrance and it was full of people. But they all were having a great time. We had a long bike ride and just want to cool off in the fountain, so we bypassed everyone and b-lined it to this hidden gem.

Where we went it was quiet...no people congregating...great parking.

I go there for fathers day BBQ.. a yearly thing we do, if you dont go early you will not get parking or a good spot to BBQ...my sister direct a 5k- divine 9-5k there as well and the trails along the beach are perfect for runners.

Awesome, peaceful place. Early to mid-morning I am able to be there alone with my dog. He loves fetching sticks from the lake and I love the calm and beautiful sun rise up over the water.

This is one of my favorite beaches to go to! Is pretty clean and always fun!

It just keeps getting better! They opened a Reggies Bar this summer and have just put in a big deck - I assume for dancing. Cant wait until next summer.

Super fun. My family and I had a blast here. There were people selling yummy food and snacks, there were people playing the bongos, a sandy playground for the kids and the lifeguards are always on the alert. The beach is clean and fun.

So wonderful on the last day of summer. People grilling, some kids swimming, lake looks like a mirage. New Reggies is excellent. Right on bike path.

Man, this is the spot. Great view, clean, architect and history is felt. Food is amazing!

I love the trail along this beach. There are so many little beautiful spots to stop and take a break. Lots of lovely photo opportunities.

Not my favorite beach, empty bottles everywhere, people leaving trash behind, its not looked after, but I mean for a chill time its ok.

Chicagos Lake Front/Beaches are wonderfulI usually walk along the lake front early mornings when the water is quite not to many people yet. Its sunny and peaceful where the walkers and bikers say good morning aa you pass by...If you need to sit there are benches to sit and look at the cars and people. There is a parking lot of course Pay to Park !!!!

It was great and fun .But the rain made a appearance. But i made the best of it.I regrouped and we drop 1 friend off and came back in a hour ,Wonderful. Cool Great to 63 Beach and walked around and greeted sime friends

Its nice quiet and clean beach. Really peaceful in the morning and early afternoon. Plus with reggies opening a restaurant/bar, it has everything u need.

Nice beach but the beach house leaves a lot to be desired. There are pigeon droppings everywhere leading to them toilet. There is no maintenance done in the womens washroomduring the day. I will not be going back.

I love this beach. It has a beach house and a cool golf course across the street. The cool thing is that this place easily accessible via lake shore dr and 63rd street.

It was closed when I went, but it looked like a nice beach. Four stars for initial impressions, will update next time I visit.

Just saw that 2 restaurants are there, the vibe was nice and the police was there as well to protect the families that was enjoying an evening out on the beach.

Nice place to enjoy the weather have a bbq with the family. Or even go fishing at the end of the walking path. I like to ride my bike up that way at night.

Always A go to beach for years... But They Didnt Have The sprinkler area open spoke with the lifeguards and they said its up to Jackson Park District to open them up such a shame the sprinkler area is a really nice area that accentuates the beach

Theyve really cleaned up the area. Kids park in the sand near beach, BBQ pits along the park side and water fountains in the common area for kids to play in. And its becoming more diverse, thats always good to see!

Great beach, for music fun, historic for blacks, but they are trying to change it which is not fair, safe great for kids.

A quiet beach surrounded on two sides by marshy bird sanctuaries. Impressive fieldhouse. For the adventurous, you can walk a good ways out on the breakwater. In the summer the park behind the fieldhouse is hopping with tailgaters and impromptu food stands. Overall a great place.

Wonderful location. Visit this location once a year for Sun Rise Service. I love the sand....

THE BEST BEACH IN CHICAGO; REFLECTS THE BEAUTY OF A DIVERSE CITY

Fun place for family, friends, events and Dates...I gave 3 stars cause the restrooms are disgusting and filled with spiders and webs. The food stand is very expensive it cost $4 for 2 bags of chips that originally costs $1.50 for 2 at your local store. It was over crowded which to be expected on a hot day. The beach itself needed a lil cleaning also...but all in all it was ok

Go early in the morning; less people, sand isnt hot, and you can grab a nice spot before others arrive.

Best beach ever. Concession Stand was neat. Mixed crowd weather could ve been a tad bit warmer. And the 63rd Street Drummers play a few mins. Until their Uncle Arthur kicked in dew to the rain. But Ill definitely return on a warmer day.

The beach is clean & well managed, plus it has the most beautiful scenery of downtown Chicago.

Grew up going to this beach, hated it then and even with all the upgrades, still hate it! Extremely ghetto and can be very dangerous. If youre not accustomed to being in an extremely urban environment (the hood) this is not a place to bring your family!

Its like a private beach! Been here two to three times. There are usually very few people at the beach, water is clean and the view is beautiful.

Great beach, very clean, and lively. It used to have free parking, now they charge for parking. There is a large field house where a lot of parties and cook outs happen. Its like a community event everday during the summer. They have a drumming circle, vendors out there and sometimes events.

We did boot camp trainng on the beach and some other martial arts instructors were working with their students very positive keep in mind before 8 am.There are meters no like the north side.
