I loved the Super Tasty Show! It was very creative and fun. Bar has tasty, interesting drinks.

I saw a variety of musical performances here, including Ben Frosts attempts to play AURORA live. There was also some puppetry another time. I remember the bar person telling me that Founders Porter was better than their Stout which turned out to be true. Its a great venue.

The Junius Paul Quartet was awesome last night!

It is small, but one of the best venues in the city, plus they have seating which is good if you have issues standing for long periods of time.

The joint is great. Cool space, good bar, very upscale yet very pluralistic. Surely recommended to catch a gig there.

I went into harlem mall. I was approach by a worker call Consellation for energy. She told me that I will be recieving. a $50.00 gift card that was a lie. So whoever is signing up dont do it.

We saw another stunning performance here. The group Ronin were perhaps more solid than any other I had heard in years! The comfortable tiered seating is a fabulous thing, especially if you have had multiple back surgeries like I have. I welcome those. A quaint performance hall, and the sounds were great! I might suggest you eat before or after the show youre coming to, as food isnt an option Im afraid.Otherwise, be prepared to bring a friend, and grab a good seat. You will have a very good musical experience!

For those of us that appreciate the road less travelled in music and the performing arts, Constellation provides what makes us tick. Its commitment to the risk takers, newcomers and mavericks of the music scene, local, national and international make it the nerve centre of innovation in town. Its an absolute must for visitors and locals alike. Oh, and the drinks are excellent and allowed in the theatre.

A very nice venue. There are 2 stages with a bar, no food is available. You can take your drinks into the show area with you.

Blink and you’ll probably miss this place because the outside is extremely inconspicuous. What’s inside is an intimate concert space that hosts small jazz acts from all over. There is somewhere between 50-100 seats in the house so you really get to be lost in the music. Sometimes you need to research who you’re seeing, some acts unfortunately work better than an Ambien pill for putting you to sleep. There is a small bar but no food so this a perfect post dinner spot. A true gem in the area.

Truth be told here, Im biased because my friends own and operate this place. But it gets a 5 star award for being unique and crucial to Chicagos musicians and fans. Come for the music and stay for the low-key bar and great conversation.

Great shows comfy seats lovely people

Not exactly what we were expecting. We thought we were going to a jazz club to see a jazz band, but it’s actually a small concert/dance hall; and the band was more like a small orchestra.

Daring programming each time. Black box acoustic, but still quite good. Cover fees are reasonable. A little too goth and hipster vibe, but super performances (contemporary compositions) each time weve attended.

So glad they are making a home for jazz on the North Side. I wish this place every success. If you havent been here, make every effort to correct that!

Great space for rehearsals and concerts

Constellation is going to be great. A wonderful venue providing incredibly unique arts experiences. Located in what appears to be an old warehouse, the feel of constellation is high class, but every man and woman. The front of the venue is a bar, with a solid selection of items. Past the bar is the actual seating area. I attended a music event and was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the ability of everyone to meet with the artist. Check out their events. You likely wont be disappointed.

Great show, easy to park the day I was there

I really like this place. Extra-ordinarily talented musicians in a very casual environment makes this a very go-to place for live music .Yes, you can meet and mingle with the musicians! Having the bar there adds to the social, relaxing environment, and you cant beat the price! I am surprised the place doesnt sell out all the time! The only improvement would be at the bar; good selection of beers but needs perhaps just a little sprucing up and but then it may not have that relaxed feeling I like so much.

Im a big fan of Constellation. Ive been to a few shows here, and I really love the focus on new music and art. The bar area can get a little crowded before a show, but thats really not too big of a deal. Great space for experimental music, chamber music, comedy, and contemporary arts in general.

Great place to cultivate ones ongoing practice in Contact Improvisation (CI) and contemporary dance partnering. Every Sunday theres a mixed-level CI class at 11am and then Jam (what improvisers call movement practice sessions) noon-2pm for just $5, a great range of movers with deep collective intelligence and integrity.

So happy to have Constellation in the neighborhood! The partnership with Links Halls is genius and the space is much nicer than their old spot in Wrigleyville. Its easy to get to, the shows are awesome and the tickets are fairly affordable. I think the only thing keeping Constellation from being the best place to see live music in the city is their unfortunate bar. Last time I was there I ordered a hot toddy and the bar tender give me hot water with whiskey, thats all. When I asked for a tea bag since it obviously tasted awful, I got a scowl along with some green tea. So yeah, even with crap bartenders and drinks it still gets four stars but I would love to be able to give it 5.
